I went to this dealership not expecting much. I was treated very poorly at another Honda Dealership in Houston and it turned me off from buying a car from a dealership. I went as far as purchasing a car through the "Big Three Online Car Dealerships" and overpaid. I returned it because of my great experience here. I am so glad I tried again in person at Fort Bend Kia. I worked with Dave Demiglio (Sales) and Gaston Gomez (Finance) and was able to meet Jeff Stone (Manager). All three were genuinely friendly and made this experience memorable. I worked with Dave over the phone and email and he confirmed details and was able to provide me a fair price for a vehicle I was interested in. He made sure that I was able to come by and check out the car, get a test drive, and got temporary plates done. He was very kind, patient with my needs, and kind and courteous at all times. I had a lot of questions and he was happy to answer all of them. I was a little apprehensive to meet with Gaston for the financing portion. He was very understanding of my financial situation, needs, and did not pressure me to get anything that he did not think was appropriate for my driving needs. For example, he didn't think that it was worth it for me to get tire protection, given the condition of the roads I live around. He was also kind and patient and did not rush me into signing all of my contracts without me reading through it and letting me take my time. It was a pleasant experience. Jeff, the manager, came out to greet me. He gave me a tour of the facility and showed me the service center. He was very kind and answered all of my questions too. He was professional and was very transparent in the whole process of buying a car. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to buy a car. This was the first car I had purchased. Everyone here was so kind! Hopefully this review will help those apprehensive to go to a car dealership who have had negative experiences elsewhere. My experience with Kia (our 5th Kia purchase, actually, at Ft Bend Kia) has been fine and dandy -- UNTIL we finally needed service performed. This review is to say that my 2016 Optima car with 62,000 miles have windows that will no longer roll up. They all stopped working within about a 2 week period. The Ft Bend Kia mechanic told me it was due to wear and tear and quoted me $3,000 to repair them since the car is 6 years old and the warranty ended last year. I told him I'd get back to him after I got second opinions. They politely used duct tape to hold all my windows closed, though most fell open before I made it home. Still in a mild shock, I went to my computer and googled "Kia defective windows" and was amazed that there were thousands of others with the same problem. I found out that it's been a known issue since 2019, 2020 and 2021 and Kia CHOSE NOT TO ALERT CUSTOMERS, but rather, simply put out a Technical Service Bulletin #300 (memo) ONLY TO THE DEALERS showing their mechanics how to fix the defect when people bring their cars to them for repair. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10189544-0001.pdf Even though it's a known issue, they will not cover the costs and still want their $3,000. Via Yelp message, Virgil Skinner, owner at Ft Bend Kia, responded to my message and says that since the car is "several years out of warranty" (not sure how he calculated that) and under my husband's name, I should "call Kia Consumer Affairs directly". He also states that "The TSB you are referring to is not a recall or warranty extension and does not cover all 2016 Optimas." I told him that "the TSB states 2016 Optimas with defective regulators." I have a 2016 Optima with defective regulators (per his mechanic), in writing. How does that NOT include me?" He has not yet responded. Major kuddos to Mr. Jerry Garcia who was my service advisor at Fort Bend Kia! I had previously made an appointment at Westside Kia and was given horrible customer service for by Justin and Kevin (the most laziest people I have ever met). I left a message for the Manager Mark to call me back and of course he never returned my call. The morning of receiving horrible customer service, I called Fort Bend Kia and my call was taken by Mr. Garcia who carried a smile through the phone. They were slammed that day but he went the extra mile to make sure I was able to get the much needed service before heading out of town. When we arrived Jerry ran out to greet us immediately (which Westside NEVER DOES) and made me feel better about purchasing the new telluride again. We recently purchased our car with FBK and trust me when I say there is a clear distinction with their customer service and others. We place a request around midnight and literally before 9am the next morning, Helen B., a sales associate, calls me ! That's world class customer service! Helen was not the only one-- the salesman, and Javier C. and Gaston G. who helped us with the paperwork were just a great team and made us feel at ease. Gaston really took time to explain the nuances and gave great advice in general! Javier, a smiling face since we entered showed us all the features of the vehicle and even helped set up some features for my wife in the settings to make things little more convenient. Travis at the Kia dealership was absolutely fantastic! As a woman who doesn't know much about cars, I really appreciated how clearly he explained the issue with my vehicle. He was patient, informative, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way--even though I didn't necessarily need all the technical details, it showed how much he cares about customer understanding. What impressed me most was how he ensured my warranty was used to its fullest potential, always keeping my best interest in mind. My experience with this dealership has been extremely frustrating from start to finish. The level of service is far below what you would expect from a professional business. Once they had my details, the communication completely fell apart. They never followed up on anything--not a single promised call was returned. I repeatedly had to contact them myself just to get basic updates, and even then, I was given vague answers or told someone would "get back to me," which never happened. It's clear that customer service and accountability are not priorities here. The constant chasing, lack of transparency, and complete absence of follow-through made this entire experience stressful and disappointing. Super Duper Dave!! Best car buying experience ever!! I really did my homework on Kia.com to get what I wanted figured out in my head. Then executing it was a different story. I thought of Sam's Club and logged in to see what I could get as a discount. Once I hit enter it was less than a minute when Dave called. He was super helpful, asked what I wanted exactly and then went to work from there. That was Friday. By Saturday at 7pm we had contracted and financed for our new car!! My 2017 Sorento had an issue with the check engine light coming on and going into limp mode - twice in 7 months, three times overall. Needless to say, because I work out of my vehicle, I was not a happy camper and expected the worse. When I walked into the service department, Joe was waiting there with Service Manager, Tim. Their kindness diffused my anger. Tim patiently listened to everything I had to say, and let me know he wanted to help find and fix the issue. When he called later that day, I prepared for the worst. I didn't have a chance to schedule an appointment for an oil change in my day off so I took my luck and went to the dealership as a walk-in. I thought I would be waiting for hours to get done, but it was very quick. Not only were they able to get me worked in, the waiting experience was great. My family and I have been dealing with this particular dealership for years. We have owned over 10 Kias. This dealership has always had the best customer service one could wish for. They are very attentive, try to be as speedy as possible, and go above and beyond for the customer. The service department is amazing and get everyone in and out as soon as possible. So they talk me into a lease car which I wasn't going to do it but they granted me within paying off my old car I could come back with no problem to return the car or get a new one.
