a display of fresh fish

Hidden gem. If you drive too fast you'll drive right by it. But I entered to quiet little spot, I was the only one there. The chef was very helpful with the selection process. It was nice and cozy. I ordered the fried grouper, it was a hefty amount of delicious fish and a soft bun with hot sauce, ketchup, and tartar sauce. It was well worth it. A little expensive but delicious.

I have been going to captree clam for a long time but since Marcus took over the place is amazing…read more They always had good fresh clams but now they have a large variety of seafood and a fresh seafood counter with a large variety of fresh fish, soft shell crabs, oysters and razor clams and much more. The place is clean no fishy smells. Pedro who waited on me said if you don't see it ask for it and he always has a smile on his face with a friendly and helpful disposition.

I've loved it for over 15 years maybe longer. I've lost count. Buuuut with the new owner Marcus & his friendly knowledgeable staff (Hiiii Pedro!) it has improved immensely! Marcus's passion & dedication to the art of fishing & shellfishery shows. I come from a long line of clammers & eelers. My family does not give a BBQ without clams. We just don't. But Marcus (I can't say his name without hearing Eartha Kitt. If ya know, Ya know. Hahaha) has upped the ante with fresh shellfish & fish options also dry aged items as well. Today I was blessed with Jumbo Soft Shell Crabs! I was lazy & broiled them instead of grilling or frying them. They came out perfect! Called My Dad & he went back for some also. And the new hours!!! I can't say enough about the later hours & being open 7 days! Epic! Thank you CC for providing quality seafood to my local restaurants while also allowing me the same opportunity to get the best Long Island has to offer. 7-6-2025

Great new concept for me, grocery shopping for Frozen eats. So many reasons to want to stock up my…read morefreezer! Wild Fork has great prices and in many cases, they were cheaper. Best part was finding the premium meats. A5 Wagyu, pichana steaks, sweetbreads, elk and bison meat just to name a few things. They also sell marinades, condiments, frozen fruit and vegetables. Beverages and salad toppings too. It's literally your local grocery store but better! This is the spot to grab proteins you need ahead of time for that BBQ you're planning or that family feast you will host. The variety is really the draw here. I saw lobster tails, scallops by the pound and coolest part, pre-made frozen goods for those that just want to thaw and reheat. That is great for when you didn't plan your meals ahead. I highly recommend this market for finding the unique, the premium, or for your everyday groceries. The model is simple: flash frozen, freshly sealed, and shipped or in this case, delivered to your local store. They own farms themselves, have huge bunkers and they work with the locals to source the goods.

Today I went in and perhaps it was the fact that it seemed to be all younger workers, I'm not sure. But I had the same guy ring me up today and the other day. Today he wasn't very friendly, and even walked away after handing me my receipt, leaving me to bag my items. As far as the food, the salmon stuffed with crab meat was so good! I had to get the salmon with lobster meat this time because I'm sure that's just as good!

An absolutely amazing experience from start to finish!…read more I've always loved Jora in Long Island City and had been wanting to go back, but then I heard about Urubamba Pisco Bar. I was excited to learn it's the sister restaurant, owned by the same family, so my expectations were high...and they absolutely met! My family was visiting, and it was the perfect opportunity to finally try it. We started with the Ceviche Mixto and Grilled Octopus, both of which were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. For our entrées, we ordered the Pollo a la Brasa, Adobo, and Tallarines a la Huancaína, and every single dish was outstanding. The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly executed. The cocktails were just as impressive...unique, creative, delicious, and every bit as good a expected. The service was warm and welcoming... and the entire experience felt like a true family restaurant. The biggest compliment? My 5-year-old nephew couldn't stop licking his fingers because he loved the food so much! I can't wait to come back and highly recommend Urubamba Pisco Bar to anyone looking for incredible Peruvian cuisine, amazing drinks, and exceptional hospitality.
