    Mozzarella sticks.

The pizza was very tasty. We also had Greek salads and mozzarella sticks. They were very fresh and yummy. You need to try the walnut pi bar with vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend you coming by and having lunch here. We were first timers, but if in the area again we will def return.

Pizza is our go to post hike food and this makes a great post hike stop. My husband and I shared: - The 3.14 (large) - The Newton (small) Between the two, I think I preferred the 3.14, but I enjoyed both of them. If you're in the area looking for pizza, this is a good stop.

First, let me just say that the food here was excellent! The 3 star review is related to the service/attitude, not the quality of the food. When we arrived we asked for a table for 4 and the young girl immediately said it was a 25 minute wait, even though there were a couple of tables paying their bill. There were also 4 seats at the bar, even though they needed to be moved to be together, but she said there was no seating available at the bar. Her attitude basically said "go away." Also, there's a sign that says "once you're on the wait list, you must wait OUTSIDE." And the menu says no 1/2 and 1/2 pizza, no substitutes, no slices. Again, they're not very welcoming or accomidating. That said, our server was very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and the ambiance was great!

Everything about this meal was great! The service was fast and friendly and I love the decor and theming...from the chemistry beaker chandelier, to the periodic table hanging in the bathroom. Very clean and modern! The star of the show, however, was the pizza. I had the Newton. The combo of the sweet fig jam, salty prosciutto, tangy goat cheese....it was perfection! My wife had the Papa Pesto which was also so delicious. The pesto was light but flavorful and of course the prosciutto was delish, cheese was melty and stringy. Highly recommend both! We live about 90 minutes away but we're already taking about coming back!

So it's Saturday night in Clayton and the wait here was at least an hour. Be prepared to wait and don't think you can just walk up and eat. We started with the soup of the day. A squash soup that was amazing! So may autumn flavors. Next we had their wedge salad. It was ok but a little sweet for me. Next we had the mozzarella wheels. Delicious but can you really go wrong with fried mozzarella and a really good red sauce and theirs was delicious. Finally we had the 3.14. OMG. So good! We got a large so we can take some home. Delicious

Great little pizza joint. We waited a bit for a table around 1:30pm on a Saturday but it was worth it. Service was fast and friendly. Local beers and ciders served here. We enjoyed the White Italian pizza. They also have a solid selection of menu items that are not pizza (salads, subs etc.) Owned by the same folks as Fortify, next door, which is a bit more of an upscale southern restaurant

First things first, if you read this review go ahead and smash 1 of those buttons below, plz. TYIA. Lol I'm surprised by the 4 stars and below on this place, also surprised by some of the comments on the pizza...I guess you can't please some people with anything. Well, let's get on with it... Ambiance - typical pizzeria type of wares, but nice decor. I like it. I thought the name was clever and the wall mural w/ the name is nice (pix included). If I even thought about 1 thing negative, it's one single bathroom. Our service was great, especially considering it was packed, not a vacant seat in the house. The pizza is delicious. We tried several of their signature pizza...3.14, a chicken one, several...we shared all the pizzas and all delicious.

    The small 314. YUM!

I had lunch on two occasions here. Good service. AMAZING pizza. Some of the BEST pizza I've had in a long time!

On vacation and decided to stop here. Food was great & service was excellent! Didn't take very long for us to get our food either! Definitely recommend the calamari!

Predictably yummy Caesar salad. Light and refreshing. Salad dressing is wonderful. Thank goodness Fortify Pi is in Clayton.

The GF pizza is tiny and overpriced. Somewhat tasty but wish I had gone elsewhere for the money.

I'm a picky pizza eater, and this is my favorite place to enjoy a few slices. The toppings are so fresh, upscale and delicious.

The Clayton Café in Clayton GA is an unexpected jewel in North Georgia…read more Located on Main Street, the Café has been completely renovated in the last year, the decor is lovely. The wait staff is excellent. They are open seven days a week for breakfast and for lunch until 3:30p. My bride had the western omelet and pronounced it excellent (a pretty rare rating from her). I'm a big fan of chicken livers and these are good - and more than one person can eat in a single sitting. The onion rings are "real" onion rings and the batter delicious. The place holds about 20-30 patrons so get there early. Net: Food very good, service excellent, ambiance very good, prices reasonable. Here's a link to their website: https://claytoncafe.com/

Well, it's down a couple of stars. I'm not from Clayton, but…read morewe love this little town and visit it often, last trip in January 2026. I noticed the window sign said "Angie's Clayton Cafe" and whilst being seated at 11:45AM on Tuesday June 2, 2026, noted the wall art had changed, no more local memorabilia, and the menu is now a well worn, two sheet pieces of copy paper. No problem, the place was nearing capacity per usual and we did get a window seated table. But, then I noticed, no collard greens on the menu. So, if you read my earlier reviews, you will note that I have eaten at quite a few "meat and three" style country diners and that I also know how to cook this food at home. That's a big qualifier, because Clayton Cafe had become a part of our destination trip to Clayton from Greenville, SC. It was just that good, a notch above the crowd. I didn't find this experience to be the same. The decor, service, ambiance was the same. Even the same crowd starting a 15 minute table wait shortly after noon. Business has not suffered, but the food is not the same. Overall, everything was less flavorful, more bland. The highlight, the white sawmill gravy was piping hot and flowed well, not a gloopy mess and I like that it was served on the side. The country fried steak was tender, but it had less crunch on the crust and was significantly bland - pepper and salt please. The green beans had a small chunk of meat involved, but they too were very bland and lacked a depth of flavor expected from the hamhock, the biscuit was good, but not the buttery crusty biscuit if yore. The okra was straight up flour breading with no cornmeal in the mixture and that's a game changer on this dish. Fried chicken was good. Squash, or squash casserole was a bland mess and left uneaten. Don't get me wrong. This three star rating means "OK". It's still a good meat and three. It's just not an exceptional meat and three as experiences my multiple prior visits. So that's when I asked the server if the restaurant had changed owners and yes, in April 2026. Well, there ya go, but Bon Chance to the new owners and Godspeed towards the hard work and keeping it going. Obviously, a full house lunch crowd on a Tuesday in June shows positive momentum. I'm just saying, pay attention to flavor, both in depth and complexity, to make these Southern standards stand out from the meat and three crowd.
