I recently ordered the Forest Mushroom Pizza to go while I was spending a few days in Clayton. I decided to place my order to go since the restaurant did not have outdoor seating. I have been very picky about where I dine during the Covid pandemic and outdoor seating is a must for me at this time. I placed the order over the phone and the pizza was ready 20 minutes later. I had to enter the restaurant to pick up my order since they did not offer curbside delivery. Even though all the restaurant staff were wearing face masks, many patrons in the restaurant did not wear masks even when they were not seated at their table. A few of the maskless patrons were standing huddled at the inside entrance of the restaurant which made me very uncomfortable upon entering. The pizza was ok. I'm a simple person. But I think Fortify pi and restaurant is just a over priced tourist trap. But you'll have to see it for yourself. I do know people who love it. But I like my pizza with a lot of ingredients and not just some sauce and a couple of round mozzarella spread on it and leaves. Or a steak thar you eat in a couple bites. Dressed uo with some swirling colorful sauce around the plate. Like I said, I'm simple. The service and staff is very nice. The restaurant is very clean. And the do get busy. read more

apparently if you order take out from this place 90% of the time it isn't available, and they charge you extra, make u wait outside for your food, and tell you you can't wait inside even after paying extra money lol....(it was nighttime and 28 degrees outside), worst service i've experienced in this whole town everywhere else is good accept here. read more

I'm so glad we came here for lunch. Instantly, we were greeted by the friendly hostess and seated within minutes. The menu had a variety of pizzas, salads, burgers, pastas, and sandwiches. We had a few different things from the menu and everything was delicious. Our server kept coming by to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place. And while the pizzas are out of this world, they also have the best fries I've ever had. Do not leave without trying them. Also, if you're vegetarian, you'll really appreciate The Grateful Veg. It is a cute little restaurant located downtown. I had the gluten free pizza with some toppings, and it was very good for gluten free pizza. My boyfriend got a regular pizza and also enjoyed it. We were staying not too far away in an air b& b and wanted a local place to eat for some to go food. (We wanted to eat and sip on some vino while watching the sunset). Strolling down Main street we found Fortify Pi and decided pizza and pasta sounded like a good choice. We were greeted just as we stepped up to the bar to order. While we narrowed down our choices I noticed the dining room was fairly full yet not noisy at all. We chose to spit the greek salad, butternut squash ravioli (DELISH) and the small forest mushroom pi. Everything was out in no time and packed up with utensil's to go. The portions were perfect for the two of us and we were definitely happy with the food choices we made. So much we decided to go back the next day... Day two were on our way out of town and wanted to stop in for a bite. Today we split the Butternut Pi topped with Georgia extra virgin olive oil, butternut squash (can you tell we were FALLIN' it up?!), bacon, roasted red peppers mozzarella and pistachios. We also tried a small taster of 3 or 4 beers they have on tap. All from local breweries. I really enjoyed our stops into Fortify Pi. My wife and I were treated very rudely last week by both the ice cube of a "hostess" and the "manager"( the bartender). They were both extremely uncaring and exhibited poor customer service. Recently traveled to the area with a group of friends for a trip. We stumbled upon Fortify Pi and we were really pleased with the food. For pizzas, we ordered the woodsman, the white italian, and the meat lovers. Each pizza was delicious and had great texture. The woodsman was the top favorite for our group. We also ordered wings with the bacon bourbon and habanero sauce. Wings were great size, sauces were really tasty. Even split on top sauce for our group. The margarita pizza was quite tasteless and not enjoyable to eat. The cheese had zero flavor, the tomato slices seemed decorative as they were awkward to eat and didn't have any flavor, the tomato sauce also lacked flavor and the pizza crust was boring. Our first time here when visting in Clayton with friends. Looked it up on Yelp (as we always do) and it looked like a great place for a pizza. It was! My bride and I shared a Classic Supreme pizza (Pi tomato sauce, pepperoni, sliced Italian sausage, sweet peppers, sweet onions, Orchard Valley Farm mushroom blend, kalamata olives, mozzarella blend). I'm quite old and this was in the top ten pizzas of my life. We'd heard that they had famous fries but they weren't on the menu. Our server Ivan brought us a serving and they were hot, crispy, well-seasoned and delicisous. The fact that a specialty dish wasn't even on the menu is part of the reason I'm downrating from 5 to 4 stars. They had 10-20 craft beers but no printed menu. I assume that's because the selection changes often. They did have the beer descriptions on a flat screen that I couldn't see from across the room. Inconvenient to have to get up and cross the restaurant to choose a beer. Second part of my rating moving from 5 to 4. We'd heard of Cody's Sangria and were anxious to try it -- but no, not available. Another strike from 5 to 4. Prices for everything were very reasonable Food was served promptly and came at just the right temperature. The pizza was terrrific but wasn't sliced completely making separating slices more of a gymnastic routine. Final reason for 4 vs 5. Highly recommended. read more

This place was so yummy! We sat at the bar and it was a great vibe. Not too loud to where we couldn't hear each other. We stopped in after a hike and were soooo happy with the food. The food here is DELICIOUS! My only regret is when we left the second day to try another restaurant for dinner, big mistake. First night we ordered the pizza dippers (yumm), special- shrimp diablo (to die for) and the ranch/bacon/jalapeño pizza. We have been before but wanted to specifically highlight their vegan options. We recently started a vegan diet and are excited to find good restaurants with options, especially where you don't have to recreate or deconstruct a dish to meet the diet. We had the vegan pizza which has a roasted garlic base rather than marinara base which made it creamy, and with the fresh tomatoes you don't miss the marinara. It comes with vegan shredded mozzarella. The mushrooms are fantastic with the sweetness of the onion and the fresh basil completes it. They had several specials tonight, one of which was an orzo salad with with sesame, carrots, spring onions and it was great!
