I had such a great experience dining at Fortina this weekend. Everything from the food to the service was spot on! Our server was so amazing! I forgot her name, but she was such a sweetheart and gave some great recommendations. We started off with the wings, which I highly recommended! They are cooked in the wood brick oven, so it has a beautiful smokey taste! We also enjoyed our entrees. The pasta was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. My only gripe is that the broccoli rabe was too bitter for my liking and the pizza was on the saltier side. Food was still great tho and am looking forward to trying this Stamford location!

An empty hand with no food in it because they haven't given me any food.

Trash estimation of wait time and embarrassingly poor quality service. Standing here 25 mins after scheduled pick up. No updates, no apologies no food. It's my birthday, my kids are in the car. So underwhelmed.

    Caesar salad - so good!

Their pizza is what I come back here for! This location is a bit smaller than what I am use to but the food was just as good as their other location in Yonkers. I loved the Caesar salad and how well dressed it was. There was a bit of a wait for us to be seated when we first walked in and to make up for that they sent us some mozzarella sticks on the house which was very nice of them to do considering my kids were starving haha. Our waitress greeted us with a smile and was super friendly. We will be back again at this location for sure !

Second time eating here. Ate here many years ago when Christian Petroni was the owner. I understand it has since changed hands. Came for lunch and seated outside, and other than a pestering and persistent bee that wouldnt leave my food alone, the experience was a positve one. I ordered the house salad with chicken on the side. Greens were mostly fresh but I did see one piece of romaine that was spotted brown. (I ate it anyway.) It was served in a deep and wide white bowl and the greens were plentiful. Atop the salad was a snowfall of grated cheese whose flavor was relatively non-descript once mixed with the rest of the meal. The salad was a bit overdressed with an italian robosto. The chicken accompaniment tasted and looked a bit sad. It was dry and had an aftertaste. My children loved their spaghetti and meatballs. My husband liked the Ray's Pizza. He also raved about our friend's mozz sticks. The pictured caesar salad looked good. Overall, the menu is super interesting and I think this is really a place to enjoy pizza rather than salad. I was intrigued by all of the vegetable offerings. I would and do plan to return.

Walked in and told to sit wherever. So we were seated quickly wherever we wanted. We were in a bit of a lunch time crunch, we had to get the attention of someone to come take our order. We ordered our appetizer and entrees all at once. It took longer than expected. My appetizer came out after the entrees. Most of the food we got boxed up to go. I was a bit surprised to see a bone in the chicken parm and was told it was a leg bone. Isn't chicken parm usually chicken breast? Anyway, food was fine. Not sure we would go back though. Service was a bit slow.

Fantastic service! A co-worker and I brought clients and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. PS - Try the Bada-bing.

My first visit to this location but I will definitely be back. Its take out only but eating in your car in now the new picnic anyways . I order the pepperoni pizza with spicy honey glaze and cheesy bread. The Spicy Honey Glaze could have drowned the pizza and I do not think I would have had enough. It gave the perfect sweet and spicy and salty bite. I will definitely ask for some on the side. The cheesy bread was a little soggy and didn't have a good bite but I also didn't eat it right away and had to reheat it so 50-50 on it. Overall a great pic if you are craving pizza want a step up from dominoes.

I'm a tough critic, having worked in restaurants for a decade, so take this seriously: the service was impeccable and the food was perfect. The dining room is lively -- yes, it's noisy -- but that energy comes from a full house of happy diners, which tells you everything you need to know. We started with scallops: buttery, golden-crusted, and exquisitely tender. I had the veal saltimbocca -- one of my favorite dishes anywhere -- and Sergio's version is by far the best I've had. Dessert was a Basque cheesecake with a perfect balance of texture and sweetness. In five years, I have never had a bad meal or a lapse in service here. It isn't cheap, but it is absolutely worth every penny. Ignore the haters.

They also offer an enclosed atrium area, which seemed like a quieter option--but the heat was a bit too high for us, so we chose to sit inside. It was quite loud, so next time I would try the atrium area near the entrance for a more comfortable noise level. One of the highlights right away was the complimentary antipasto: a nice plate of mixed cheeses, olives, and sliced salami, along with a basket of bread. The thin, crispy salted bread was seriously addictive--so good! Paired well with our Aperol Spritz. We started by splitting the fried zucchini flower blossoms stuffed with ricotta, served over tomato sauce. You get two per order; they were good. For entrées, my friend ordered the Pollo Fino--strips of chicken breast topped with asparagus, shrimp, and mushrooms in a white wine citrus sauce. It came with four jumbo shrimp, and she said it was incredibly good. I had the Pappardelle alla Boschiola with prosciutto di Parma and green peas in a pink sauce. It was a generous portion and very tasty. I later noticed the menu included mushrooms, which didn't seem to be in my dish, but I did not catch it at the time. We finished by sharing the Napoleon dessert--my friend had raved about it. The flavor was good, and our server nicely split it for us, but the pastry layers were quite crunchy, making it challenging to eat. Overall, a fun atmosphere with tasty food. They have a big parking lot offering valet service.

We recently went here at 6 p.m. on a Sat. night, immediately got parked and seated as soon as we arrived. Of course we had a reservation, but at that time, it could have been a disaster. We had so many people come by our table, I was sure we would have received multiple drinks, a duplicate food order, etc. Nope, just a well oiled 'professional' machine there. Adults too! No kids working there which makes a huge difference if you're spending a little money. So the menu was outstanding! Incredibly authentic, very generously portioned Italian dishes! Check it out for yourself online before going, but between their Specials and their regular offerings, you're going to be pleased! Loved the fact we didn't have to ask for fresh crushed peppercorn as they came without asking, and even remembered to bring the crushed red pepper I had requested (which was actually hot!)! You will pay a little more for some items here but some items are surprisingly less than what you'd expect. Overall, I thought the value was quite equal to the experience! They did get us on the wine though -- took a hit on that. Will definitely return the next time we want to drive somewhere or in Port Chester.

I started with the baked clams, had the clams been perfectly fresh they still wouldn't have been great, a very wet mess. But the clams were not fresh (I only ate one) in fact it took 18 hours for my insides to recover. Just shy of food poisoning. Then I had the linguine vongole (my favorite) in white sauce. The clams were terribly overcooked, there was no 'sauce' and no flavor. The linguine itself was excellent. I frequently judge a restaurant on the quality of the pasta with clam sauce as it's a relatively easy dish to prepare. I can make a really good version in minutes at home so I feel a restaurant should be able to do the same. This was a real disappointment. To give the benefit of the doubt I'm hoping that this was just an off day for lunch service, a Thursday that perhaps the chef was off.
