The mozzarella sticks were a bit limp lol the breading was not as crispy as I'd have liked and lacking a bit of seasoning but the PIZZA! I love a penne alla vodka pizza where they actually put pasta on top! And the vodka sauce was amazing. I think the crust was a bit overdone but I was just happy about getting to eat a solid penne alla vodka pizza with a good sauce and pasta on top. read more

I first went to this restaurant through a special from the too good to go app. They gave eight slices of pizza and they were all very good. The place is small and very clean. The restaurant side very nice. Came back three days later for dinner with my wife. The service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. I had the veal Parm with broccoli And my wife had the eggplant with broccoli. Both were excellent. The portions are big. The prices are more than reasonable and they even give you bread at the table. As the place is small, I really don't wanna give a will make it tougher to get a. But everything was spot on. read more

food is nasty. got fettucine alfredo was mostly olive oil not much cream not much anything else. I am Italian and I cook so now I do instead of going here. i used to love their eggplant and pizza was decent. I severely miss when Phil owned the place and his brother was a phenonemal cook. the pizza was never as good as sals but had a lot of variety. i stoppped going here a couple years ago. read more

Was heading to Sal's in Mamaroneck for a square slice and then walk the avenue. Saturday night they're open till 9. It's 8:40. Gotta hurry. I call. No answer. I speed up. Pass a cop hiding in the dark. I keep one eye out the front window as I slow down and one eye waiting for the police lights to let me know I'm done. In my mind I think about my story how I have hungry kids and Sal's is closing. Screw the ticket, follow me and I'll buy you a slice. Is that really bribery? Policeman never chased me. I can make it with 5 minutes to spare. Turns out .. Sal is on Vacation. Now what? PG comes up on Google. What the heck, it's worth a try. When I walk in there only 2 slices left on the counter and they're closing for vacation tomorrow so there's not much to be had. Counter guy says.. no worries I'll make a pie. I don't need a pie but it's after 9 here in whitelandia so I'll be happy to have something. Pizza man happily spins the dough and in 12 minutes my pizza comes out perfect. They were all so friendly and easy to deal with. So far so good. "How many slices you want"? I'm asked. What? You're not making me take the whole thing? "Nah. Take what you want but it's probably cheaper to take a pie than 4 slices". So I took the pie. $22 bucks. Damn good. Friendly, accommodating service. Clean. Quick. No attitude. The pizza was old school good, a little flop, great flavor, a bit of crunch that makes you salivate. Cheese was good and not too oily. Perfectly hit the spot. I'll definitely be back. Met the owners while I waited. Good people. Try this place. If it's not a 5 next time I go I'll update but for now this place is a gem. But just so you know, only Sal's gets you out of getting a ticket. read more

OK so I went to this place when it was a pizzeria and they remodeled and now it's a pizzeria restaurant love the look of a great job. Always love their pizza special one with onions tomatoes chicken and mozzarella. Tonight me and my daughter had the bruschetta the bread was too high and thick but the mix was out of this world it reminded me of the pizza. I had the spaghetti with the clams and shrimp I think the spaghetti was fresh because it had a different texture like fresh made. My daughter had the eggplant Rollo teeny we couldn't finish everything so we took it home. I'm surprise the red sauce on the spaghetti was a little bland. read more

This place has wonderful customer service, that's #1!! Christine and Marie made us feel very much like we were part of the family here. The food portions are excellent! I brought some home! The food is so delicious, everything cooked perfectly. I went with a few friends on a Monday night for dinner. These entrees were absolutely worth the price. We never ran out of bread or water. I spent my childhood in a pizzeria so I consider myself high maintenance when it comes to pizza. Out of the 10+ pizzerias within the 3 mile radius this is one of my favorites. Love their pinwheels, their tomato sauce, square and specialty slices. Always fresh. Cute outdoor seating when it's nice outside and friendly service. read more

I've ordered food from them for years with no problem. It took 2 orders to get my food. It arrived cold. The seafood was cold and uneatable. I called and spoke to the manager who was unresponsive to anything I had to say. I told him if they didn't take care of it I would call Amex. So I did. Not sure if they have new owners but will never order from them and I don't recommend you to either. read more

We were looking for a place off the Hutchinson that served whole wheat crust pizza.....and Pizza Gourmet delivered! They also have gluten free pizza as well. This is pretty astonishing considering this is not some place that looks like it was spun out of some hippie college town. Pizza Gourmet is a tiny pizza shop with about 10 tables for a dining area, that really looks like any "XYZ House of Pizza" that dots New England and New York. We were a bit skeptical, but they came through. The service was friendly and the pizza was delicious. The whole wheat pizza was great, and I got a slice of the "regular" pizza just to check it out, and it passed with flying colors. read more

This is our go to pizza place in mamaroneck. I love the regular slice. Their food is great too. I've used them for trays of food for parties. We love coming here... With one thing we hate. The music! Lol It's the worst 80s stuff. Freestyle? I don't even know what to call it. I've never known one song that is being played. My husband and I always joke about how bad it is but today my son actually said he was getting a headache from it and never wanted to come back! He is 7. Delivery is usually fast! Definitely the best pizza in the area. No idea why anyone thinks Sal's is good or even comparable. Pizza Gourmet recently opened a nice sit down restaurant next door to their old store, and it's nice and cozy. Seems like a family run business. The pizza is good; the plain slices are solid and, unexpectedly, the four cheese pizza with American cheese was really good! The ricotta is so fresh and delicious, I could eat a bucket of it. The pasta is above average; I ordered the arrabiata, which was quite spicy. They also have these yummy roasted peppers that are worth a try. A good place to grab a bite or take something to go. Service is friendly and they seem to be open late. read more

I started eating at Pizza Gourmet last year when Vin started working there and I am so glad I did. Absolutely amazing pizza and entrees and even better soups. With the expansion, the place also looks great and isn't as cramped as it was. And don't listen to these other peckerwoods complaining about delivery. I've gotten delivery via Grubhub about ten times over the past year and have had zero problems. Always be wary of these self-important pricks that come on Yelp after one "bad" (it's often not even bad) experience. Fuck them. read more

I was in the area with my family and stopped at this restaurant to get a slice. Ended up staying for dinner and wow was I impressed. Food was great, there chicken gourmet, with tomato and onion salad. There pizza was fresh, my son had regular slice I had the focaccia with olives. Pizza was so good I took a pie home. Brought my nephew here and the food was good, however my experience was muddied by a disgruntled old man loudly exclaiming that he "hates Democrats with a passion", that "hopefully they will all disappear soon", and lamenting the fact that "nobody writes in script anymore" because that is how things were done back in his days. His wife tried to shush him, however it's the restaurant's inability to control this blatant display of aggression that is a deterrent for me - won't be returning. Shame. read more

Ordered two pizzas and garlic knots from this restaurant through GrubHub the other day. The pizza was decent, however I was a little unimpressed with the four cheese pizza as it literally had strips of American cheese topping it though it claimed it had cheddar. They also sent us burnt garlic knots, which were basically inedible so I was not happy with that. It was ok at best. read more

Best pizza place in the area! They've got everything there from individual gourmet slices to classic Italian dinner entrees. The owner and his staff are warm and friendly. When you dine in they take real good care of you. Phil, the owner will often come out and ask patrons how the food is. There are always a lot of people here especially during dinner time. This is no ordinary pizza place - they have pasta and entrees that rival a fine Italian restaurant...and they deliver! Our favorites are the penne ala vodka and calamari fra diavlo over linguine. We also love chicken and shrimp Francese and veal marsala . Sometimes they have homemade Italian cheesecake or cannolis for dessert, and gelato in the summer! As far as the pizza is concerned here I really like it. Ive been getting pizza mainly from the Halstead strip in Harrison where a total of 5 pizzerias are located. Not all but most of them Id have to get toppings just to make the pizza pleasurable. Finally after years I decided to try Pizza Gourmet and finally found a place where you can get an excellent plain cheese pie. Have ordered many times since and will continue to do so. read more

I had good pizza and focaccia when I was in the location, however when ordering pizza for delivery The pizzas arrived cold and tasteless, and we live pretty close from the restaurant. It's like they took them from the restaurant showcase, like we don't know, and also a bit overpriced. I don't mind to pay for fresh warm pizzas but it was kind of a rip off. Got delivery-pizza and pasta were ok, but there is better in the area. Brown lettuce in the salad, cheese stuck to the lid of the pizza box because there was no plastic piece to hold it up, way too much parsley in the pasta.... Sloppy. Try villa Maria for pizza and Leonardo's for pasta. read more

For the preceding three Easters, we were at another restaurant in Westchester - however it grew stale. I decided to look at other options, and remember having a great meal here at 25 North back in 2018 when I originally wrote my review. That being said, we booked it and made plans to dine here for Easter Sunday dinner. As I expected being a holiday, I walked into a crowded and loud restaurant. The layout is interesting - the dining room is separated into three levels with a small flight of stairs separating each of them. We were seated on the top level of the dining area, which was the best place in my opinion as it was the quietest- we were 19 people and only two other tables were in our vicinity. Decor was inoffensive - typical Westchester Italian restaurant aesthetics. What I liked about the Easter service at 25 North was that we were able to order off the regular menu - though they did have a few specials for the holiday. We decided to order apps family style for the table: drunken clams, string bean salad, sausage and broccoli rabe rolls, and fried calamari. These were all solid; the drunken clams were by far my favorite - super flavorful sauce and served with sausage and big cloves of garlic. The weakest IMO were the sausage and broccoli rabe rolls - I will say its partly because I expected more of a bread roll, but these were like egg rolls which made them a little to greasy for me. The sauce it came with though was tasty with a mild heat. For my main I got one of their specials - crab stuffed shrimp. This was six generally stuffed shrimp served on top of spinach in a light sauce. I really liked this dish - even though it looked like a lot, the crabmeat was light and the spinach made it so I didn't feel stuffed after finishing the dish. For dessert, I had tiramisu - on the menu they described it as a slice of goodness and that's exactly what it was. Service was great - they were on top of it and made sure food came out at a good pace and we were fully taken care of. Overall, my holiday experience at 25 North solidified my opinion that this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Westchester. I'll definitely be back sooner rather than later.

The shrimp was the best part and was beautifully cooked and seasoned, but that was an add on and I would have been disappointed with it if not for the addition of the shrimp (which then made the bowl over $25). We ordered the burger medium rare, and it came very well done. To be fair, when we mentioned it to the server, she took it off of the bill, which we appreciated. Overall, I would say the food is hit or miss. Most of our proteins were cooked very nicely and with good flavor, but the other parts of the meal were just fine, not great. The price point is such that I expect a little more for what I am paying. That being said, the staff is nice and the ambience is good, so for a quick and easy meal, it's worth it if you are in the area.

They used to have a table where you can sit but it's predominantly take out place. They do have several trucks as well so you can have a catered event. Waiter's hot dogs are split in half and served flat. I really prefer my traditional hotdogs on the bun but this works and they are really delicious. I had one regular dog with ketchup and their mustard relish mix, the bun is toasted and that gives a nice crunch and mild flavor, nothing tangy. I also got a chili dog and it was quite different. A small portion of Walter's style chili, it also was pretty good and not overwhelmed by the chili. The tater tots were different they weren't regular tots it was more potatoie if that makes since. I discovered that they have a vegan dog. If I had viewed the menu closer before ordering, I would have tried it. The also have shakes and other is tems. Pics of menu posted. What does that equal? A damn fine hot dog! The chew of the dog was great, and that mustard was phenomenal (I should have bought a bottle of it). I could see why all the high school kids were eating here...I would too.....like every single day! lol. Puffy Dog- Same as the hot dog, but they add 2 potato puffs inside the bun. It created a nice texture, but I liked the straight up dog better. Service was great at the window, and the building is very cool! Historic Landmark! If I lived near by, this would definitely be my spot, and if I'm ever back near NYC, I'm taking the drive up here to get some more dogs. They were awesome!
