Just spent 2 /3 days at FB seminar.They taught very little. I learned more about the speaker than RE investing. It's more of a recruiting session than a learning environment. If someone is totally ignorant to RE for $200 you might learn a thing or two otherwise it's a waste of a weekend. They seem to have a good thing going but they are not willing to give it up...unless you fork out $50K. I have better ways to invest. Most of what is taught is college Business 101. read more

FB is NOT a total scam. I'm sure there are folks that made a living with this company. With that said I attended the 3 day seminar to check out their 'system' but what I got was mostly fluff and up sale for the Mastery Mentorship program that cost more than most of the attendees' cars. And the attendees were mostly impressionable folks with hopeful desperation in their eyes. Most had no knowledge of the real estate business or how money actually works. If you are one of those you will get a lot of information from the 3 day course and learn a lot. However, if you have a shred of intelligence and rudimentary Google skills the 3 day workshop is a waste of time and money. The information they give is nothing they promised (i.e. their proprietary software, actual strategies, the details of their proven system, etc.). You will have to become a Mastery Student for the nuts and bolts of these. And you can find all the information they give for free or in books. If you're too lazy to read then this may be worth it. Also, if you know anything about the psychology of persuasion and sales tactics you will be disgusted at the cheap salesman tricks these people use to manipulate and reel folks in for their saving and credit cards limits. Don't ever use your CC to pay for their mastery programs. This one greasy salesman even blocked an exit with chairs, violating fire code, so all the attendees will be funneled to the front door where a team could confront you if you left. WTF. The ignorant will learn a lot. Professionals will be disgusted. read more

While the past can never be changed, Than Merrill seems, at least, to desire to steer his company towards a position of strong reputation and quality. For these reasons, I chose to update this review toward a more amiable position. Bottom line: I attended their 3 Day seminar, and I was disturbed by the tenacious efforts of the staff to sell this program. I don't recommend this program, and caution anyone planning to attend that the schedule will be an extended sales pitch. This is what I saw during my seminar. On the 3rd day, any hope of receiving usable knowledge had worn off and I finally opened my eyes to see families giving away ridiculous amounts of money to people with no proven track record of success and no guarantee of return. The final straw was when I noticed an elderly couple being ripped off. They were both in their late 60's, the man couldn't walk without a cane, and his wife did not look as though she was in exceptional health. They did not have $50,000 to spend on a Real Estate course, but this obvious fact did not stop Fortune Builders (FB). I watched them double team this couple with "Coaches" and "Investors" for 3 hours until they broke. Then the woman pulled every credit card that they had out of her purse, there were at least 9 cards (2" thick stack), and FB maxed every single one. It wasn't enough. They then had her write a check. She drained her checking account. Still not enough. They then had her call in for loans and credit increases, and when they drained every financial drop, they left them with a back pack containing 1 book, two binders, and no money for rent, gas, or even food. I hope that this couple is the best real estate investors in the world, because they are about to be homeless. This was not the only instance of this behavior. I physically and emotionally felt filthy after watching this take place. This is the EXACT same practices that led to the recession in 2008. Finally, this is from the FB website and are the FB Core Values: Ethics & Integrity - Do the right thing Inspire - Motivate and help others achieve their goals Educate - Believe in and commit to personal growth development & growth Lead - Take action & follow through. Persevere & don't give up. No excuses. How you do anything is how you do everything. Crush It! - Enjoy every moment and do it with passion 1: "Crush it" is not a "Core Value". 2: Nobody should ever allow themselves to be inspired or lead by those who prey on the less fortunate and ignorant. Its un-American, cowardly, and pathetic. 3: Education at $50k is what universities are for, they are accredited, and when you finish you at least have degree that can lead to a job (including building your own business, which is a major at nearly every college in the US); not $50k in credit card debt building at 18-28% APR. 4: Ethics & Integrity? I can't attest to every member on the FB team, but Than Merrill seems to strive for constant improvement and strong practices, I hope that he continues to address these problems head on to build an exceptional business of education and development. UPDATE: This morning the owner of Fortune Builders, Than Merrill, reached out to me over the phone. He went on to say that the FB Compliance Department had rescinded the offer to the couple mentioned above after a more in depth financial check had taken place. Mr. Merrill's actions are indicative of a person who has legitimate personal investment in the reputation of his company and is willing to address issues at all levels. This level of responsibility in a CEO is rare today. He could have ignored this review, but instead he chose to confront it. I just attended the two hour free course and signed up for the three day seminar after hearing there presentation.Really sound like a good idea at that time but was never told until the first day that there was multi levels of course avaible at additional cost. The speaker was not one of the guys you see on TV but a guest speaker who for the first two hours told you all about his live and family . He was a nice guy very knowledgble about realestate market. It just was not what it was presented to be.My only suggestion is that before you sign up make sure you are going to get what you are looking for from this seminar. I tought i was going to receive info on fliiping house not on how to be a investment banker or realetor. If i had $10,000 to $40,000 to invest in property i would not have needed fortune builders read more

My significant other and I went to the free seminar to see what it was about. We then decided to give the 3-day seminar a try. We figured they'd try to sell us something but thought we could get something good out of it. (Note, we have flipped several houses and so are not new to the process.) The seminar is put on by a very energetic and charming speaker, who casually throws in how he travels the world, shows pictures of his beautiful children. All in the effort to sell the image. And he and the other reps make it high energy--high-fiving people and clapping. To make a person feel like he/she is part of something. The speaker then continues, "are you going to be a quitter or are you going to finish the race?" Then they ask, "how quickly can you come up with $200,000? And they get you to list all of your sources of income. THEN they say they'll interview us for the next level. Only the best-of-the-best make it. R-I-G-H-T! They are looking at how much cash you bring to the table. DON'T be fooled and don't let them scam you!! Buyer beware! My significant other and I got away with just two days' time lost and $197, but I've read where others have been bilked out of thousands. If you want to learn about Real Estate Investing, go do some homework and find a trustworthy mentor. I attended the 3-day event with Fortune Builders in Madison, WI this weekend and found that the presenter, Jeremy Black, was entertaining, informative, sincere and an excellent student of mass psychology. To be sure Real Estate Investing is a prudent strategy for wealth accumulation and the $200 three day immersion course is well worth the money. But if you are seasoned business owner, with drive, ambition and an ability to sell yourself and your product, you might better be able to internalize the information for pennies on the dollar by purchasing the info used on E-Bay. However, as a person burned by franchise hype--and FB is not a franchise and JB even offered money back on the first day--it is in some sense a franchise. Itis a repeatable formula that you must pay for but only you can decide what that is worth to you. Just like with anything, the cream rises to the top. The attending Masters were all successful but I wonder why no downside (other than there are no guarantees) was offered. Who are the failed Masters and why did they fail? I wanted to know that. I wanted some time to mix with the Masters and that was not possible in the three day seminar because they we off to hockey games and professional fights each night and did not hang around to talk to attendees. Also, I found their predatory stance on acquiring distressed properties from homeowners a bit disconcerting. But that is just me. Intellectually I know JB and Fortune Builders are only doing something someone else would do with a home owner in distress. They may make themselves feel better by offering to absorb closing costs and sending a gift basket or a check, but in reality, they (and there is nothing wrong with that) are profiting from someone's loss or bad financial situation. The best part for us was the financial planner guy who gave a succinct and practical guide for corporate tax strategies. I wish he had longer than 45 minutes. The worst part was the "does that make sense?" rhetorical question posed 27 times in 60 minutes. That followed by work smarter than work harder triteness, when I suspect JB works pretty hard. To be sure, in full disclosure, I was not selected for the Master Program. However, I own a successful mold remediation enterprise that is cash strapped right now. Had I a check for $25K, I am sure I would be in the Masters Program. I liked, respected and admired Jeremy Black and found him to be a real humanist with no affectations you might suspect from a self-made millionaire, former male model. But I do suspect running with big dogs assures success too and would be wary of being a small dog in such company armed only with a receipt for $24,999.00. I am sure had I had the cash and the time, I would be exposed to investment funds on a favorable basis more quickly with a FB affiliation. I will have a harder time doing this on my own. But you know what? I built a profitable mold business on my own--no thanks to you, Mr. Obama--and I can probably flip a home or two a year on my own too. I will buy the info on E-Bay, though it may be a bit dated, and I will spend the remaining $24K on my first flip. read more

My son and I took the three day seminar and while we decided, for a number of reasons, not to buy into the Mastery program at this time, we feel like it is a good, no, a great business strategy. If FB thinks a person is on the right track, they would do well to invest in them, rather than expecting them to spend all the money they could use for their first two or three properties to purchase the program. The other thing I would like to see is a bit more transparency. The first night seminar should be more clear about what it takes - tens of thousands of dollars - other than just time, to get into real estate investing with Mastery. I would like to give FB much credit, however, for having great communication skills before, during and after. And I never once felt like I was being pushed. read more

3 day training is an idea of how mastery level real estate works but you have to spend lot of money to get proper training ( little knowledge dangerous thing). The free session offered teasers to motivate us to pay $200 for a 3-day, 30-hour training class that would give us the tools to be successful in no-money-down wholesale real estate sales, rehabbing and passive real estate income. After paying $200 and sitting 15 hours sitting in a conference room, I finally learned that in order to obtain access to the information and resources promised in the first free session, I would have to pay them $24,900 plus maintenance fees. Hello All, I really don't understand why folks are so upset with Fortune Builders. Like any education, you have to pay for it. I don't know anywhere two or more people can get such an education in Real Estate. Thanks to these folks, I am also taking my Salesperson Real Estate Course to pair with this investment. It IS a lot to comprehend. Especially the $197 three day course. (That's $197 for two people BTW). There is no pressure and many of us here in the Upstate Capital Region of NY had A LOT of questions for these presenters. If you are skeptical, ask questions. Fortune Builders pride themselves in being transparent. They are hiding nothing. If you want to make them look like they are, well, half truths will do that. I am a Mastery Student with them and to date are pretty impressed. I have learned different things than I probably will at the real estate course. Just the fact that you can use your 401K, 403B's or IRA's to purchase property was an eye-opener. To all you neh-sayers it apparent that it was too much work, and that is fine, like someone said earlier, this course is not for everyone. It's hard to go back to school. Here, at least you have the opportunity to go at your own pace. The quicker you can move the sooner you will pay off that tuition. There's nothing to "Beware" of here! Talk to someone who decided to invest into the Mastery Program, Gold or Platinum Level. They will tell you. Hmmmh, as a matter in fact I didn't see any complaints or concerns from Mastery Students here. And for the person who commented "WHY are we (people who like the program) looking here for complaints"? Because Fortune Builders told us to, that is how transparent and confident they are. I really hope this clarifies some things for folks. Go to the free seminar, then if you decided to spend $197.00 to see more - DO, and take lots of notes, you will learn a lot even if you don't make the investment. They are all very excited, very enthusiastic, but yes - don't be fooled they are definitely in it to make a buck. They do know what they are talking about - no doubt about it. There are several students that they continue to use as case studies. Just understand that those students are like the examples they use on weight loss programs on TV (not all results are the same, results will vary, etc etc). But they want you to pay A LOT of money to find out if you can be in that top 1% of case study-worthy students. Each person/student thinks that they are special and that the "tips" they give are just for you. Everything they do is scripted, from their sales to their coaching to their marketing, original thoughts are not allowed, do not deviate from the script. But - they do a lot of good in the community - well of course they do, they want to be the ultimate good guys! Maybe some of it is genuine, or at least it used to be. If you were one of the original FB crew you have a pretty good deal, come in later than say, 2010, not so much...... If you want to read the scripts and listen to their recorded messages that dont really change all that much - go buy all the stuff from someone on Ebay who is selling it at a fraction of the cost just trying to recoup some of the money they spent on crushing it..... read more

Just got out of 3 day event in Philly, PA this weekend right during St Patties day weekend. Good stuff, Pete the speaker was on target the whole time, great info and very motivating. I just started a business prior to this weekend, total investment in a similar business so far has been 15k. This includes my setup, my web page and design, paperwork, advertising, etc. I can tell you this, prior to this weekend, i was looking into a better web page with interactive systems and database Fortune Builders offered in their mastery program, my cost for that alone were no less than 20k from multiple design firms. I also know from this weekend it would be nothing like what Fortune Builders offers in their mastery kit. I do not have the funds now, but i plan on committing fully to save and join mastery at the platinum level. What a lot of people dont understand is the business start up cost and all that you are getting with Mastery program they offer. It is not just education, although i think that is huge, but the system and the software and turn key business operation. I have spent the better part if 6 mos planning and starting my business from scratch. Had I to do it over, I would have made this investment in a heartbeat and not wasted time and effort trying to reinvent the wheel. I currently have a business im going to work on until i have funds to do this, i am not moving forward with website upgrades at all now. But i still lack, education, mentorship, and ongoing education is all on me to sign up for. In the past 2 years i have spent over 2 k just for ongoing training. 15k to 25k seems like a lot, but when you go out and figure out what it will cost you to do your own business and set everything up and take time, months to develop systems and refine them, with a whole host of other things i havent even mentioned that go into starting your own business, Mastery makes a whole lot of sense. read more

The free event in New York was amazing and exciting and it sold me the three day seminar for the bargain price of $197. We were promised to lean the nuts and bolts of RE investing and get access to an amazing data base of knowledge and templates and know-how of FB. We were also promised a real schooling experience with an instructor who will speak slowly, answer questions, take his time. It sounded too good to be true. The first instructor (Tony?) said that they give us this great price because the company also lends the money for deals and prefers to train is collaborators in great detail to ensure success. Sounded very generous. The three day paid workshop was hosted by Lee Escobar. Imagine listening to an informercial yapping at you in a monotonous, fast cadence for 10 hours a day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8.30 to 7 pm and you get the feeling of how grueling it was, both for the speaker and the audience. Lee obviously knows all the tricks in the book and has tons of experience. I admired his stamina, although I wondered if he was on uppers. He is a great businessman and salesman, though not the best teacher. He spoke very fast and often unintelligible, right when things were complicated and new and they needed 'slow explaining' because he would get excited. His slides were very generic though, and offered bare bones visual support, just basic headlines. Between his fast talk and the bare bones visuals, it was impossible to capture all the info. I asked the organizers if we'll receive all his torrent of information in a digital ebook or ppp after the workshop to have it as reference, since it was impossible to take notes at the speed of his speech and remember the myriad of details. The answer was no, "it's our proprietary information." I was surprised. We received a booklet, and a few videos, but much more generic than lee's presentation. I didn't understand why the first free workshop presented the second three-day-paid workshop as a schooling experience, when in fact it was turning to be more of a teaser for the many things we need to learn and then master. I found out why on the second day: Lee spend the afternoon session selling us a yet another product, a mastery program priced at 35,000-50,000 USD, where all the great things promised at the free workshop were going to be delivered, plus coaching. All the things one need to become a RE investor. I was annoyed that they were selling me a 50k product on my time and money, which I had allocated to learn all the basics. I also understood why a good part of the previous day was wasted on telling us about the importance of coaching. So it's hard to rate it on a number of stars; it depends one each person's level. In two days, (tomorrow is the last day) half of the time was spent on selling you, not teaching. You will learn a few interesting tricks, but to actually get access to their know-how you need to pay 35-50,000K (there are three levels of the mastery program) or else you are back to square one. In the future, I hope they make it clear in the free workshop that the Mastery program with all the goodies costs $50,000, and that the three day paid workshop it's just a teaser. I also hope that they'll do the selling of the mastery program on the last couple of hours of the third day, so people who aren't interested to just go home, not be held captive to this giant sales pitch. It;s unlikely to happen. The rationale seems to be that selling someone with no money a 50k product and convincing them to take a loan to do it needs three days of grueling, intense pitching; which is true for them, but unfair for us. Other than that, everyone was very nice and helpful. read more

I attended the 3-day workshop and unless you plan to spend $30k-$50k to learn all their trade secrets, then it's a waste of time. I knew there would be a sales pitch for their Mastery program, but I thought I'd get a little more out of it than the glorified sales pitch it actually turned out to be. I did not learn anything new, and the topics of discussion were really vague and high-level. They'd barely broach the tip of the iceberg on a subject, but then they'd say "Wait... if you want the details sign up for our mastery program." And for the record, I know someone who has a friend that actually paid the $30k+ and while she did a rehab a house, it's still sitting on the market a YEAR later. Does that sound like a winner? Me thinks not. That's a red flag all day. Why aren't they helping her to unload her rehabbed property? Sounds like someone who probably has more pull in their network dumped it on her being the newbie and all. read more

I found this training to be very informative. I'm new to the RE business. So I learned a lot. As far as sale pitches well that's expected to a certain level. I saw it as trying to promote the importance of education, a system and coaching that has already been built; which I know that's super important. The only thing that I which was at a better price was the education packet. 50k is a lot. If I'm already in a whole of debts and problems that is not easy to do. And I'm truly motivated to move along with my ventures in real Estate but now I'm having to look to other places to seek guidance and help and wing some things. So I can build capital to pay for debts and some day take up the opportunity to take up the Mastery program. I believe if there was another way to pay less for the coaching and system to get started, more people would be willing to jump on that opportunity and Than would have more investors on board in a nearby future. read more

FortuneBuilders The purpose of this review is to give everyone a heads up about this company. They advertise in the Newspaper about a free real estate investing seminar. In the seminar they give you a pep talk about how you can make a fortune in today's real-estate market. How you didn't need money to do it, because you were going to be using other people's money. They also gave the impression that they would fund some of the transactions. It sounded real good. After they got the audience all excited, they break the news that you will have to addend there PAID seminar to learn how. The price of the Paid seminar is an obscene amount but the presenter eventually shows you the real price you pay if you sign up immediately ... Two hundred dollars, and you can include your spouse or friend for that amount. So with my friend we attended with the expectation that we were off to a new endeavor. During the mornings there were lots of inspirational talks and some education about how it was done. On numerous occasions the presenter Paul would tell people to stop taking notes and just pay attention. The assumption is that this information would be given to us in printed form later... not the case. Most of the information was pretty much conventional stuff anyone knows who is involved in real-estate investment. Then on the afternoon section Paul would start mentioning something about the master level... This would just go by us as he kept speaking. But gradually he would throw in more references about the master course. And finally by the end of the day he is telling us that if we really want to succeed in this... We will all need to sign up for the master course... Price $70,000 that's right seventy thousand dollars! Of course if we signed up today we can get it for $35,000 and they would let you pay it off in low monthly installments of about $600 per month. So as not to loose everybody... They offered other lower priced schemes for those who would never go for such high priced "instruction" Why would anybody go for this.... Because they offer to hold your hand and coach you through the deals, and after one or two deals you will make so much money... You will be able to pay it all off. Aaint that sweet! So beware people FortuneBuilders does build fortunes for the FortuneBuilders, using other peoples money... Your money. In all fairness when we asked them for a refund we got it. So if you go for this and feel cheated ask for your money back. read more

I completed all 3 days of intense workshop in San Gabriel, Ca. It was like 3 years of education all compressed in 3 days, that's accelerated learning. Less time to digest it into your brain. So take good notes its what you can come back later and digest it more. But what I was able to take away with me was the 500 feet overview of the main system. A little bit of the mindset, your state of mind. Ryan Carmody was our teacher. Excellent speaker, sincere and professional. I'm glad I attended. It made a good momentum of inspiration within me. It was a lot of info. That even now, after a week later my mind is still spinning. Yes they do ask if you'd like to continue the next level at the end, its for the actual application and one on one guidance. Of course for a price. Overall I resonated well with the whole event. I can't believe I paid $200 to listen to 3 days of a huge sales pitch! The presentation was somewhat informative, but if you don't know anything about real estate, you will think everything stated is accurate. And the presenter, the salesguy! WOW! He introduced himself, he was in the Army for several years (twenty maybe?). Showed pictures in his uniform -- this upped his credibility. Check. He was a Chaplain in the Army. Booyah! If you love our country or you love our God, he's got your attention! I admit, he was quite impressive! But he'd better be impressive if they are going to sell those $50,000 Mastery classes! Oh yea! 50K buddy! Quite a few people signed up, I hope they get what they are seeking, at very least just make their money back. The thing is, we really only see happy videos of students who have been successful, not the not-so-successful students. But if I had paid 50K and couldn't make anything of it, I'd keep it to myself too... read more

I went to their 3 day seminar. I've been in sales for a number of years and I completely understand the nuances of sales and these guys are good. Their 3 day class/sales pitch is put together with the precision of an Ivy League educated surgeon. Oh wait a minute--2 of the founders are Yale grads. So these guys are most likely insanely smart--and you can tell by the way the presentation was designed. I probably have never seen a better sales pitch in my entire life. And the presenter was smooth as butter. He only made about 2 mistakes which only a professional would have noticed and I don't think the guy said "um" even one time during the entire presentation. They cut like a sharp knife--after you have been given a good dose of anesthesia. I get the feeling that the people who eventually take the bait ending up feeling like those urban legend you read about on the internet where someone wakes up naked laying in a bucket of ice wondering what happened, but feeling fine--only to discover after standing up that there is a clean surgical incision on the left side of their torso and they are missing a kidney. Most people who don't do their research and aren't analytical will get taken for a ride. I'm sure it's possible that some people will have success with their program. However, the $20,000 (twenty thousand dollars) to $35,000 (thirty five thousand dollars) they are asking for their coaching program is pretty ridiculous. But it's not the money that bothers me. If you can't afford it--you can't afford it right. But their "setup" is that they take people though this whole process of *debunking* their financial education and understanding that debt is not bad, but it is in fact very good. In fact throughout the 3 day class they get you to start saying that "debt is good". And I agree--debt can be good. But you need to know what you are doing before you run out and take out a bunch of debt. However, they are trying to get you to convince yourself that debt is good so if you don't have $35,000 in cash sitting around you can use your good credit and take out credit lines in your name and put it on a credit card and give them the cash. So you are left with $20,000 to $35,000 of credit card debt and the owners get your cash. I knew that's where they were going during the sales pitch--because I've left unscrupulous sales offices like this in the past so my little scamdar went off after all the pro-debt mantras. Then the presenter made a comment about "If you decide to market your business online then anyone has the right to say whatever they want to say about your business on the internet. When I heard this, I knew this was the setup for the objection of "Why do you have so many negative reviews online". So then I looked on line and boy oh boy. I see all the negative reviews buried at the bottom of yelp and the most likely fake and canned reviews posted on top. The negatives were so bad. One disabled little old lady who believed in them and put gobs of money on her credit card to pay FortuneBuilders? She didn't have the energy or vitality to flip houses and is struggling to pay off the debt. What they are doing is horrible. I would be very curious about their success rate. What percentage of people actually make their $20,000 to $35,000 back. And I'm sure some do--but I bet a small part of their success is because of their course. The balance of their success comes from natural drive, ambition, and some crazy trade your soul to the devil sales skills that they use to talk desperate people out of their properties. I did learn a number of things from the seminar and one might be able to cost justify the $200 price tag for it. But when I learned that they would try to talk you into opening new credit cards and running them up to the tune of $20,000 to $35,000 --I was turned off and left. I'm sure this would work for someone if a couple thousand people do it--but it's way too much risk for the average person who doesn't have $20,000 - $35,000 to gamble with. You can probably learn the same stuff by joining a real estate investing club, buying the book the E-Myth which they recommended (and I just purchased), purchasing some online videos on house flipping, and PERHAPS going only to the 3-day seminar. Giving them $200--justifiable giving them $20,000 to $35,000. You gotta have money to burn. read more

Not in the position to do their Mastery program, but I will say that it's worth the time, and the small fee they charge. Yes, there is a sales pitch - what a surprise! - but if you can focus on the content, there is, for someone who is an aspiring real estate mogul, great information. While I had to work on Friday I listened through the door and already learned some interesting things. For me, the top was Cole's presentation about how to set up the different structures to build your organization. Very useful, and very real world. If you go there with the expectation of a Real Estate 101 advanced class...it's not that, but it's also only 3 days. Go their with the expectation of learning some key fundamentals, getting inspired that real estate is one of the few ways to generate passive income - really is - and that there are success stories out there. Attended a 3 day real estate investors seminar with FortuneBuilders in Bethesda, MD. Cole Hatter was the speaker and did a phenomenal job. The amount of information presented was far and beyond the $197 it cost for three full days. Yes, they are selling their Mastery program ($15K - 25K), but there was no pressure to buy and the value you get is exceptional. was the 3 day class worth 197.00? YES it was. They give you enough to get your feet wet but don't be fooled they try like hell to get you to believe in yourself and spend another 25K. If they weren't trying so hard to sell you the Mastery they could have done this class in 1 day instead of an extra 2 days worth of sales pitch. They make it out like they pick and choose who gets into the Mastery but in all reality all they pick and choose is anyone who can afford it. What investor would tell you that putting 25,000.00 on your credit card without really understanding what you are buying is good advice? None of the so called Local coaches showed up. They refused to answer any questions. At the end of the day I felt really bad for some of the people who bought into this program without having a clue what they got themselves into. read more

I was really touched by his mother's story "Never quit" Single mom who needs to be strong & determine to raise kids. After I heard his mom's story, I made the goal that I will not quit. I am literally sitting in my car in the hotel parking lot about to leave after finishing day three of the three day seminar in La Jolla. I believe intensely in what this company is offering. I want nothing more than to get some funds so I can see if they will let me do their mastery program. I have been to four different real estate educational companies three days seminars, Fortune Builders offer much more than the other three institutions. I know many people on yelp have concerns with price points, but you are paying for an education. Based off what you do with that, they can pay dividends multiple times over. I don't know if Fortune Builders will read this Yelp review, but I would like to say thank you to all three presenters if you do. Ryan, Andy, and Than. Fortune Builders is a fabulous company and provides excellent education. Follow the training program and you will definitely make a sizable income. However, there is a lot of work involved. Yes, it does cost money to attend the training programs, but keep in mind you get what you pay for. It does cost money to make money. It does take hard work to make money. We Joined Fortune builders 2 years ago in Seattle,WA We went to the 3 day seminar and it was well worth then $197, why because the value that Than and his team provided at the event. We wanted to flip homes and at the event they taught a lot on systems on how to protect yourself when working with contractors and also how to raise money. On the third day they did their pitch on whom would like to join, and yes the night before we were very skeptical, why because of the negative reviews on here and also the BBB. But if you kook FB has made an effort to resolve all the complaints. Usually the complaints came from people that didn't follow the systems to take action. So we joined. We have completed 3 flips and also completed a 52 SEDU wholesale deal in Seattle. Without the Fortune builder learning and coaching none of this would be possible. Fortune Builders and the team are all legit and provide a ton of value to the students. We are always receiving the newest updates around Real Estate practices and how to be more efficient. I hear people say you don't need to go to Fortune builders, you can read books and learn from other online blogs. Well it will take you a long time to pull all this info together and learn how to implement it. You will then lose a lot of money trying to figure it all out. Joining Fortune Builders we have the same systems and processes that Than and his team use inn their business and they are very successful, so why not follow a proven path. This is truly an eye opening organization. Everyone knows that real estate has created nearly all of the self made millionaires but these guys show you how to do it work smarter. They didn't have some company hack telling you why you should give them your money. Our instructor was Cole Hatter. Google him. He has gone through the program himself and has his own highly profitable business. You've heard the expression "He who can does and he who can't, teaches." Well I've got a new one for you. He who does it right can work as he teaches, too. Most of the presentation was of his own deals from all over the country. Cole even demonstrated how he can lose while on his vacation in Europe. Fortune builders are for real they are building a fortune by selling hope and expensive programs to all the attendees to their 3 day deal. I was one of them, I was sold and expensive program that I didn't even had money to pay for it. they were helpful on helping me get in a big deft by helping me get a credit card that was for about 18K, I had some other credit cards that helped me to get to the 25K deal they had for financial freedom. during the 3 day seminar they used more closing sells techniques than a car dealer. yes I know closing sells techniques are legal but they influence people to buy what they don't want or need. or they are not sure if they should get it. closing selling techniques work on almost everybody and are out there to help seller sell more that any other seller with out any closing sells techniques. why am I writing this? because I just couldn't learn and even start any of this. It was hard for me. so I ask for a refund and they told me that It was too late to get a refund, that they could help me pay some of my bill with a partial refund of 6k+ which I did get and helped me a lot cause I was unemployed and I was getting behind my payments. this did help ease the money problem but didn't solve my financial situation. I was offer to have all my work shop events that came with my package deal reset so I could star all over, unfortunately they is not for me and I still have a big problem with the credit cards I used to pay for this program. I'm not saying that this program does not work I just didn't work for me.. instead of building a fortune for my family, I'm building a financial problem for them. I now I have agree to by this program. It just didn't work. I'm not getting anything out of it but a big financial mess. now my family is paying for my big mistake. read more
