Foster's Donuts is located on Grand Avenue in Grover Beach. It is across from Mc Donald's and Taco Bell. They open at 5 am for the early birds. I went in around 11:00am and ordered a dozen doughnuts. The employees are friendly and helpful. They had a variety of doughnuts to choose from. I didn't eat any doughnuts, but my family did. They thought the doughnuts tasted pretty good. The reason for my 3 stars is the pricing. I paid $15 for a dozen doughnuts. These were not filled doughnuts or bars, but doughnuts with sprinkles and such. I don't think they were really worth paying that much. It was simply convenient, we were in and out of the shop in 5 minutes. I think for an occasional treat, this is a fine place to go for a quick bite to eat. If you have a bit more time, there are much better places to go. read more

Truly first rate donuts that beat any other donut shop in quality and taste. Though I have noticed that their turnovers have decreased in quality. Used to be a much more fluffy and crispy pastry. Also, their prices have substantially increased percentage wise. A man buying some coffee and a doughnut before my purchase had mentioned how expensive it was for just those two items and that caught him by surprise. I had purchased a turnover, two jelly filled donuts and one glazed donut and paid $8.50. Quite expensive for four items. This was perhaps the worst Fosters Donuts I have had in a long time. The Frosting on the Cake donuts was runny and slimy. The case looked like they had bought donuts from the grocery store. My mom and I were craving for some donuts and stopped in at Foster's Donuts, we live in San Luis Obispo, and I'm from Hawaii. The man that was there was very nice and friendly! I got the Croughnut and glazed twist and boy was I surprised how delicious they both were, considering that was our first time there, I was a little reluctant on how it was going to taste, cause I'm a Krispy Kreme and SloDoCo lover. Foster's donuts is my new top favorite now! The donuts was not only delicious, but it was fresh and made just the way I like it! I really wanted to try this place because the donuts looked great, so I went with my boyfriend and we walked in and waited about 7 minutes for service, asked if anyone was there, we could see a woman working there, but she was sitting in the back talking on the phone and completely ignored us the whole time. The store had the sensor alarm that goes off when people enter or leave the store, and it is very loud, and she saw us, so I don't know why she didn't help us. I would have been happy to wait if she had at least told us she would be a minute and would help us when she could, but instead, we were ignored and we ended up leaving after not getting any help. Might try it again at another time, but from my experience today, the service was awful. read more

This place is a scam. If you happen to not have cash on you and you want to buy a donut, expect to pay 75 cents for using your Debit Card. After paying the extortion fee, the cinnamon roll was only worth about 99 cents. If you do want to ask about the fee, they don't speak English but just point to a chalk board that (if you can read it) says they charge for credit card, but its no where near the cash register like its suppose to be. If you try to inform them, they act like they don't know English. Avoid this donut scam. read more
