I've been coming to this place my entire life. I do try to limit my visits because at the end of the day it's fast food. With that said, this is that place that never disappoints. Thank you for being a constant for all these years and now my own family cherishes this establishment. Down to the dessert, my wife always has to have a Banana shake, my oldest a swirl/dipped cone with peanuts, my youngest with a plain dipped cone. I of course am a little more custom. This place is wonderful when it comes to catering to special requests. I get a mix between a banana split and a Sundae. They put a generous helping of vanilla ice cream with sliced bananas all around. Hot fudge smothers that first layer. Topped with whipped cream and dusted with peanuts. Had never heard of Foster's Freeze before, but my boyfriend (who is from the Bay Area) said that it's a tradition for him and his mom to come here when he's in town. So they treated me to the tradition when I visited with him for Thanksgiving. I am an ice cream fanatic, so he knew I'd love it. This ice cream is very creamy and smooth. I also love that they have an assortment of various options (soft serve, sundaes, mixers, etc. They also have a decent assortment of quick service meals as well (kinda like Dairy Queen). On our first night there, I got chicken tenders and fries with a caramel and hot fudge sundae. I thought the chicken tenders would be basic, but I actually really enjoyed them! They are crispy, all white meat, fresh tenders. The sundae was creamy and smooth as well. I enjoyed it so much that I asked my boyfriend if we could go back here! I ended up getting a twist cone the next time. Although it's not the best ice cream I've ever had, as far as quick service soft serve and treats go, this is a solid 5 stars. So this was my first attempt at trying to find a replacement for dairy Queen blizzards and was surprised to find that fosters made something similar. So we drove over and ordered a small twister. they don't actually have a specific strawberry flavor but the owner was able to customize and fulfill my request. Overall it did taste similar but not quite. It was his first time I guess trying to make the strawberry flavor and I wasn't fully blended all the way and the toppings were only at the top and not at the bottom. After years of driving by this place, I finally got to make the pit stop before heading home. Yesterday for lunch, my fiancée and I came to have a few bites. We ordered their deluxe burger, crinkle cut fries, and peanut butter malt shake. It's definitely like a quick bite, old-school, burger shack with cheap prices. The burger wasn't as good; meat patty was tiny and too flat and stiff, no cheese but thousand island dressing, fresh cut lettuce and tomato slices, etc. Nothing surprising here but I thought the burger would be this greasy, cheesy, and messy burger but instead it wasn't. The fries were pretty good; no complaints here. The peanut butter malt shake was fluffy and had lots of vanilla taste to it. I am thankful to have come here but it was just sadly ok. After seeing they had Twisters on the menu, I was excited to try it since it reminded me of Dairy Queen. I got a small Reese's Cup Twister to share with my husband. The small was perfect for the two of us. In terms of the flavor, it was pretty much what I expected - chopped up Reese's swirled into vanilla soft serve. My only complaint was that all the Reese's were at the top, so once we got to the bottom of the cup it was mostly just vanilla. I'm not sure why I JUST realized that this place was a couple miles away from me but WINNING! Literally fulfilled my carnival/childhood/sweet tooth/fried cravings for less that $25 with easy parking. The sweetest little family runs this joint and are as nice as can be. My hubs and I came here on a Saturday night (830pm) and there was a steady line. Literally all the customers seemed like regulars and even though the orders were taking a bit of time, everyone was super patient and nice about it. They even smaller chatted their goodbyes to the workers after waiting awhile which I rarely see nowadays in the hospitality industry. Parking is easy because people are constantly coming and going. You can either order outside or inside. There are a couple of outdoor tables and even more inside. A lot of customers tend to take their loot home to enjoy. Hubs and I decided to eat there since half of our order was fried food and wanted to make sure we enjoyed every greasy bite. Our order goes as such: Large Oreo Twister, caramel parfait, 3 pc chicken strips, waffle cut fries, and a corn dog. The grand total was $21.03. Holy smokes! To me this was amazing because the two ice cream orders were huge!!!! Usually this would be about $8 each at Baskin Robins or Cold Stone. The Oreo Twister is pretty much like a McFlurry but if you ever noticed, your McFlurry is half empty and it's not even swirled that great. The FF Oreo Twister was PACKED! And my sweet tooth hubs struggle bused it to the finish line which is super rare. Love love this place! Been coming here for 10+ years and they're always reliable and serve fast. The older asian man who I assume is the owner is super nice and so are all the workers. I always get a chocolate dipped vanilla ice cream cone and the dip is nice and solid, not too thick and not too thin. It does melt kinda fast so be prepared with some napkins. I LOVE their waffle fries, honestly better than chick-fil-a's because they're more crunchy. I usually get an oreo twister or caramel marble fudge parfait. I've gotten their burgers, corn dogs, and probably almost every ice cream on their menu. Definitely will keep coming back! I've also experienced that customers are generally respectful of distancing the line but I wouldn't eat at the tables since people walk kind of close. It's been years since I've been to a FF and I think their formula changed and the swirl used to be just a simple round design now it has a swirly design like the mcd ones. This was new to me and so was the fact that it was a yellower vanilla like French vanilla instead of their classic white. These things don't really matter but it's what I noticed that has changed since I've last gone to a FF. Like others have said, this location has an awesome crew of friendly, quick people. I've been here twice, both times to get desserts. The first time we got the root beer float and a small half & half dipped cone. Both were really tasty, although I'm not a fan of the texture of cold chocolate shell I guess. The second time we got a peach milkshake and a small cone. The peach milkshake had a light fragrant peach flavor and was blended with vanilla soft serve I think. I usually don't like fruit desserts but this was pretty tasty. The soft serve without the dip is better in my opinion. I don't believe that a small is only ~200 calories because the ice cream is thick and luscious and the chocolate has a nice mild cocoa flavor.
