A quick update as it's been quite some time since I've reviewed. We were needing to do something while we were waiting for our lunch to be made. We were at the library so I suggested we drop by Donut Basket to get some donuts as it was still open. There wasn't anyone inside but there is seating on the outer edges which is very typical of donut shops. It was almost their time to close up, so some of their popular items were already gone. We ended up with a jelly filled donut hole and I ordered an old fashioned glazed donut. Unfortunately I wasn't paying attention when the person there packed our items and when we got home and I opened my bag, it was just a normal glazed donut. My disappointment. I guess the person there didn't hear me right. They were also on a phone call with an earpod in their ears so it's very possible they didn't hear me correctly. The glazed donut was fine, but it wasn't an old fashioned. The jelly donut hole was large but smaller than a normal jelly filled donut so my hubby liked the size and proportions. It was an unfortunate experience, but this teaches us to make sure to look inside the bags before we leave. read more

Been going here since I was little. Best breakfast shop with a variety of donut selections. I got the old fashioned maple and original chocolate doughnut. The shop is so cute and the workers are kind. They accept card and cash, if you use cash they charge less fees. read more

I've been to this Donut Basket a few times. It is located in a small strip mall where the parking IS CHALLENGING! Nice and simple decor with a few tables to sit at. The service was nice and friendly. I did not see cronuts at this location like the other one in Milpitas. But, they offer traditional donut types but do have offer red velvet, ube, blueberry cake donuts. Every time i go here, the ladies are very nice and help customers fast. My absolute favorite breakfast sandwiches are here. I ordered the number 2 on the menu. I believe it's a crossaint egg and sausage sandwhich. It was amazing! It easily melts in your mouth. I can't wait to go back and get another one. It's a small space with limited parking but worth it! I didn't like that the lady taking my order did everything with the same gloves. She never changed her gloves after touching multiple surfaces. They have a great selection of breakfast sandwiches and the service is always amazing. Even with only two people working up front, they were quick and friendly, and my order came out fast. Came by this past weekend, and the service wasn't exactly friendly, but the lady got us what we needed fairly quickly as we were the only ones there. They had a bit of indoor seating in a clean and casual setting, but we took our order to go. We had the tuna sandwich, sausage egg and cheese croissant sandwich, and blended iced mocha (they only serve the ice blend), and everything was about average, nothing really outstanding about the quality or flavors but not bad. The display case was empty around 1pm on a Saturday. For a place called "Donut" Basket, I would hope for at least a few donuts to be available more than an hour before closing time. But nope, there were about 10 plain croissants, muffins, and donuts TOTAL in the display case when we visited. So that must mean they're really good... or really unprepared with their inventory. read more

We visited on a Saturday morning and there was plenty of parking in the parking lot. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and a croissant or the number two on their menu; it was delicious and buttery and perfect. I also ordered the Ube donut and it was airy, soft /light and tasted freshly made and perfectly sweet (not too sweet) and addictingly good. Since change of ownership, there is positive and negative. The negatives are they are not as friendly (they don't like to chit-chat with the neighbors) and prices are significantly higher. The positives are there is more selection, fresher food, and a brighter shop where you can pre-order for pickup. We still go here and enjoy the food but the prices better stay friendly for neighbors... else will consider other places. read more

One word...UBE! And oh, their apple fitter is pretty good as well. I would say it is right up there with Chapman Donuts in The LBC. DB has a large variety of donuts that should satisfy the sweet tooth of pretty much anyone. I am not sure if their other locations carry Ube donuts, though. I am at this plaza pretty often to pick up sushi next door and noticed that Donut Basket was still open this time around. I decided to pop in and pick up a little dessert to enjoy later after my lunch. I ended up picking the blueberry cake donut, the chocolate glazed cake donut, and some donut holes ($3 for everything). The lady working at the counter was really nice and I think because they were closing soon, she gave me extra donut holes. Their donuts are solid and I can tell they are made fresh. It wasn't overly sweet and I enjoy the cakey texture compared to a softer, chewier texture. I will definitely continue to come back whenever I am in the mood for some donuts. read more

Been coming out here for the past three years and they do have the best donuts loved the custard ones and for drinks it's usually iced mocha or coffee. Best to come by early in the morning than later in the day where's pickings slim to nothing. Reasonable prices pretty much in line with its competitors. Ladies working are very pleasant and very efficient. Parking can be a real hassle since it's right next door to Sen Dai Sushi a very popular Japanese restaurant avoid coming out here during lunch hour. read more

My very first time to buy donuts from this place, Donut Basket. Early in the morning and the lady who assisted me was very rude, had very negative vibes. She was very rude to her colleague in the first place. I will never ever go back to that place again. I don't need rudeness early in the morning on my way to work.
