Just moved in about an hour before hunting as the fat man was hungry (that's my btw). Atmosphere was great. Server very lovely. You honestly couldn't want more. It was strongly suggested to have the half pound burger. I'm an onion ring kind of guy so I did that rather than the fresh cut fries. That might have been mistake 1. Mistake 2 was the hotdog. I'm a Chicago guy so I love Chicago style hotdogs. Plenty of meat. Just not my preference. I'm not talking about the burger to be polite. It really missed my expectations considering the hype. We are Cape Coral residents for a few years now and we love Foster's Grille! The owner/ manager is super friendly and the burgers and fries here are delicious!! Burgers cooked to order and they are a decent size too. Fresh cut fries are the best. We were also able to enjoy a slice of the fresh baked cake of the day. Outdoor seating was welcoming for our beloved Golden doodle. We also appreciate the support and welcoming for law enforcement as we have our patches on display. I like this place, no thrills just a simple good cheese burger. We stopped in for a quick lunch and was in and out in 20 minutes. There is a normal parking lot and a large grassy area for truck parking that was very convenient. The burger was good tender but not too greasy with lots of flavor. Please if you like grilled onions please get them on your sandwich, they are amazing. The fry's were comparable to 5 guys fry's but better. This is our 3rd & last time here. First 2 times were good; this time was AWFUL. The cashier said they cook their burgers medium well; yes that's fine; it was SO overdone, no taste. We paid $53 for 1 burger combo with a drink & fry, 2 burgers, 1, 1/2 order of fries & 1 chocolate shake (which was over the top terrible, was like a cup of extremely chocolate ice cream not even blended). $53 for this wow! Also the mirror on the wall where we were sitting as you can see is covered in layers of dust, what does their kitchen look like? Came to this location with a big party of 16 and there were zero issues getting us all into a table to enjoy the food and companY. I ordered the charburger with onion rings. Both were very satisfying. Burger had that awesome char flavor with a perfect soft warm bun. Onion rings were great just the right amount of crispness. Got a little side order of cheese whiz to dip the onions into and man was that the right decision! All the service staff were very nice. We've got mixed feelings about Foster's Grille. On the one hand, the burgers were better than 'OK' but not the life-changing experience that some reviewers claim. But on the other hand, the prices are higher than the quality of the product commands. Example: We arrived and noted the "daily special;" a Quarter Pound Double burger for $4.75. We ordered two. Add cheese, obvsly. Add onion rings to one order, fries to the other, chili and cheese those fries up because... why not? Couple of drinks and a contribution to the tip jar ended up north of $25. Not claiming that's a ridiculous price, but it's a long way from the $4.75 price of the burger. And the burgers were... "fine." Nothing special; a little on the dry side. But, in their defense, there's a comprehensive set of optional add-ons to any burger so it's a lot like Five Guys in that you can literally get the burger any way you wish. (Except they use shredded lettuce and... bleh....) I've read complaints about the negative attitude of some staff. We certainly didn't experience anything of the sort; everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient. And they obviously work hard at keeping the place spotless. They offer covered outdoor seating for al fresco dining. I didn't see this mentioned anywhere, so I'm bringing it up now. I'm planning to give Foster's another go in the near future but I'll try their famous "Charburger" and, with a little luck, it'll be the fantastic orgasmic burger experience others have claimed. read more

3 things about this place: 1. Going inside the restaurant, I was confused at first because there was a podium with the paper and pencil you circle what you want from the menu; however, one of the worker asked what I wanted from the menu. The menu doesn't have a price so when paying, the whole menu came out to be more than $40. 2. Original burger, Buffalo wings, and chili cheese fries were ordered. Burger was pretty good where the patty was juicy still when I took a bite but the bun was too much though. Wings came super hot where I had to cool it down for a few minutes. Chili cheese fries were pretty good too but overall, I enjoyed the burger the most of course. 3. Orders took more than 15 minutes to come out which I thought was long to wait when the foods shouldn't have been that long to cook and it wasn't busy. Overall, this is a pretty solid burger spot if they're looking for fresh quality burger. The pricing is high but also good; I wish they had prices on the paper so customers know how much they're paying for their food. read more

The salad a fair size salad with four and five slices of tomatoes and croutons, shredded cheese,not too bad given with the ranch dressing in a packet on the side!...Crispy, crunchy, croutons.. The only flamed broiled hamburger cooked to the perfect degree of medium rare when requested...topped with everything cheese mustard , salt, black pepper, ketchup relish raw onions . A little sloppy but oh so good.!!! Slips & slide down your throat and makes you suck & lick the goodness off our hand & fingers....Any steak or hamburger cooked more than medium, the infidel should be required to tear out their taste buds ...The onion rings are nice and large crispy add a tad of salt & ketchup yum yum yummy! Last but not least is there a grilled hotdog large in size as me 1/3 almost a half a pound grilled to perfection on a nice large bun with relish raw onions and mustard.(. Never never never do you ever put ketchup on a hotdog only six year old adolescent boys and a republican would do harm to a hot dog by putting ketchup on it). The only minor thing that is distressing is that they use fresh potatoes for the french fries. And unfortunately by the time you get them delivered they end up being on the wet and mushy. Great burgers and homemade fries. I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. (The basket of fries is enough for two people) It was fresh and tasted homemade, one of the best burgers I've ever had. Husband had a burger with onion rings. It was also very good. The onion rings are a batter coated, you don't get very many but they were good. He also had a strawberry milkshake. It was very thick with pieces of strawberry and very good. The inside is casual sit down with a bar and dining area. The only issues that we encountered was the way you order food. You have to fill out a slip of paper with all the things you want, but if you want to substitute (eg. milkshake for the drink) you have to do a separate slip. All a bit confusing and takes more time than necessary. The staff at the register couldn't have been nicer or more helpful but it took too long. We lucked out, at the time we came there was only one person in front of us. But the line soon grew because it takes so long to order. The only other thing I'd mention is the dining area needs some love. While it was clean and the two people working there were running around constantly trying to keep it that way, the chairs were ripped up and need some tlc. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to enjoy their dine in experience due to economic circumstances but that's okay! When I came to pick up, the staff held the door open and she even was actively wiping everything down with sanitizer wipes. With everything going on nowadays, it's easy to throw out the idea of going out because of the uncertainty of the cleanliness for people handling your food. Nope. Not here. For what little staff they had, they definitely stayed clean. The girl even wiped the handle as I left the restaurant too. As I got my food, the older gentleman who guess my name upon walking up was very welcoming and polite. Ordering was simple, easy, and I feel very worth it for the price. However, As for the taste... ...Yes!!! Damn. Damn! Damn!!! That was good!! Honestly, it's been a long time since any place made a burger that tasted like this and it just hit the spot. All of the toppings I requested were nice, fresh, and THAT BURGER !! It must be the chargrill! It left such a banging taste! Ughhh! I will def be coming back for my burger needs. The burger was okay, slightly over charred, good bun. Service was good, only 6 people in the whole place. The bench's were very hard so try to get a table with chairs. I feel we were over charged, it was a senior special day 20% off but our receipt didn't reflect the discount, we asked the counter person and he said it was included even though it wasn't reflected on the receipt, we didn't like that. The fries and onion rings were soggy with grease and over salted. I think the chef could use some training. Our family enjoyed the turkey burgers from this place until today. My husband and 11 year old son went for lunch and after getting the burgers, my husband asks the server for some ranch, well the server comes very upset and threatening to my husband and screaming for no reason, all he asked for was ranch . This all happened in front of my son. When my husband asks to speak to the manager, he was in the kitchen and did not wanted to come out. After 15-20 minutes he comes and apologizes to my husband and says that the server was having a bad day, I am sorry but I could not buy that answer, how come he was nice to the other people eating there. You write down your orders on a sheet of paper, hand it in to the guy at the cash register and he rewrites it all on another sheet of paper, then rings it up and they ask for a tip at the prepay check out?!?!. Will never recommend. Terrible customer service, mediocre cheeseburger, extremely overpriced, and the absolute lack for human safety. Second time I have visited Foster's. The first was for business and the most recent was with my family. They were consistent both times in a couple areas. Fun menu picking out what to order with very little pricing structure. A bill that is extremely OVERPRICED and of course the tip line on the receipt. (To insure prompt service) Both times horrible customer service past the part where they take you money. You serve your own soda, condiments, cutlery, napkins, and then at the end they have a place to put your trash and baskets. I just left after having my wife and two kids there. 3 and 1. We arrived to a slightly hazy room where it smelled like maybe a burger got out of control but didn't seem to out of the ordinary. We sit down and I submit my order. 1 cheeseburger basket and a kids chicken finger basket with a fountain drink and one draft beer. My ticket came to $22~ and I gave a $4 tip. The room continued to bellow out smoke from the kitchen as we waited for 25+ minutes for a cheeseburger and chicken strips. When we asked if there was an update the only response we got was "we're trying" No one ever came by and said we are very sorry for your wait and for the smoke we can refund your ticket or you can sit out side. Not one person cared about the other people in the room. Not one person who represented FOSTERS had any business in customer service little loan the food industry. I will share my story with my fellow Cape Coral friends and networks. I NEVER leave reviews but this really bothered me. read more
