    Macaroni Salad

Highly recommended from a local, and it did not disappoint! From the greeting at the door to service! Outstanding! The bread was SO fresh! The cuts of meat and Provolone cheese were soooo good! The Mac salad is outstanding and unique! I had the Italian Mix sandwich and my hubby had the turkey wrap with onion rings! On a scale of 1-10, it was definitely a 20! Great value for your money! This meal will feed me twice!

Turning over a new leaf and eating more salads in 2024! Sorry about the bad pun (So fun). When it comes to salads, the Fountain is among my top go-to places. Their salads contain a variety of vegetables, are consistently very fresh and generous in portion to boot. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. It came with plenty of delicious chicken. I had a bit leftover to take home. I have some doctors' visits coming up so I'm trying to eat in moderation. I splurged by ordering the signature cocktail, The Fountain, consisting of gin, muddled orange and Prosecco. It was light, refreshing and delish. Thanks to Ginger, who truly knows the meaning of hospitality and always provides great service. My husband and I like to sit at the bar. Sometimes we get into conversations with other patrons, which can be fun. The Fountain is always clean. Ginger and her staff can be seen wiping down the countertops. The decor is attractive and comfortable. An awesome neighborhood eatery that's family-friendly.

The food at the Fountain is always consistent. The service is great and the vibe is that of a typical neighborhood bar with the mix of a pizza joint. I was introduced to the Fountain about 20 years ago when my older brother took me to get "the best pizza in Albany". I always liked their burgers but last time I just had a pasta dinner. It was spaghetti with marinara and it came with a salad and Italian bread. The star of the night was our drinks. Thanks for being there for a night out that doesn't break the bank and consistently tasty eats.

Ordered pickup through an online app. This is what I got. What the heck is it? This was supposed to be Ravioli Parmigiana. How did they have the nerve to wrap this up, put it in a bag and hand it to me??? I've ordered this dish before so I know how they usually prepare it. It was burnt & dried out. This is unacceptable!

Chicken Parmigiana was dry and overcooked

The chicken parmigiana was overcooked and dry! Sad I normally have no problems and get this all the time

The ONLY pizza that I eat the crust. Mushrooms seem to be canned, doesn't matter. Still fantastic. Love the mood here.

It was packed, the service took forever, and the loaded potato skins were greasy and over cooked.

Lots of great options and combos to choose from. I got the Mild Italian with sharp provolone and the works and it was delicious! Parking can be a little challenging depending on the time of day, but it's generally easy to access. I ordered the Italian sub, and it was delicious! Everything tasted fresh, was made to order, and the ingredients were well-balanced. The quality was definitely there. My only complaint is that after ordering what I believe was the regular-sized sub, I was still a little hungry. That said, would I recommend it? Absolutely. The food was tasty, fresh, and satisfying. Would I return? Definitely. The price point makes it more of an occasional treat for me rather than a regular lunch spot, but it's worth it when you're craving a quality sandwich. Rating: 4/5 Fresh ingredients, great flavor, convenient location--just be prepared for the prices and consider sizing up if you have a big appetite!

Absolutely lucked into this place while visiting our daughter at a nearby college. We were headed…read moreto the donut shop next door and saw the sign for the cheese shop. (Certainly a lucky neighborhood) It looks small from the street but once you walk in, it opens up to a sizable store. We were greeted by a friendly staff member, he took the time to describe their cheese selection and the other things going on in the shop. He then pivoted to giving us tons of help selecting the right cheese. We sampled a couple of things and then he dialed in three choices for us to buy. (With an assist from another customer that insisted that we would love the Delice de Bourgogne) Prices were reasonable enough for the quality. We added some gourmet crackers that were neutral enough to not overpower the cheese. The next day, we made the three cheeses the focus of our lunch. The Delice de Bourgogne was the star of the show, a creamy, earthy, and savory masterpiece. The two year aged Gouda and creamy blue cheese were delightful as well! Truly glad that we walked into The Cheese Traveler!

We appreciated the relatively local (Quebec, VT, NY) cheeses they have, and our destination cheese, Wisconsin Brick (which we had never tried before, and which they were quite willing to work with us on getting the appropriate size). The sandwiches looked delicious but we were there at the wrong time of day, alas, but we will 100% be back. If you like cheese, this is a destination location for the region.
