The owner is extremely kind and thorough. My clothes are always done when she says and anytime I need alterations they are done very well.

I had my wedding dress altered here after a coworker recommended them, and I am so glad I did. At…read morefirst, I was a little hesitant because I thought they mainly specialized in dry cleaning, and my dress was very delicate tulle with seven layers, so I wanted someone experienced. Other bridal boutiques quoted me between $700-$1,000 for alterations, which honestly stressed me out. Cathy, the seamstress, completely exceeded my expectations. She worked her magic and my dress turned out absolutely perfect beautiful fit, and handled with so much care. You can tell she really knows what she's doing. The best part? I paid about half of what other places were asking.

I have used this business before, but unfortunately this experience was very disappointing and did…read morenot meet my expectations. When I initially arrived, I spoke with one of the employees regarding a small coffee stain on the front of my shirt that I wanted removed. During our interaction, the employee appeared distracted and was using Facebook while I was speaking with her. She examined the shirt, acknowledged the stain, and instructed me to return a few days later to pick it up. When I returned, the same employee was again on her phone while assisting me. As I was paying for the service, she suddenly asked, "By the way, were these stains here?" I looked at my shirt and immediately noticed blue discoloration and marks that appeared similar to bleach damage. I informed her that these marks had not been present before and reminded her that the only issue with the shirt originally was the small coffee stain on the front. The employee insisted that they do not use bleach and stated they would keep the shirt for another week to attempt to correct the issue. After a week passed, I returned only to find the shirt in the exact same condition. I also never received a phone call or update informing me that they were unable to fix the problem. During this conversation, the same employee explained that the individual responsible for cleaning and inspecting garments documents existing damage by taking photos before items are processed. She stated that if there are stains or defects prior to cleaning, photos are taken. If there are no issues, no photos are necessary. No photos had ever been taken of my shirt, which would suggest that there were no existing discoloration issues beyond the small coffee stain. Despite this, she continued insisting that the shirt had been brought in that way. It was close to closing time and she shut me down and stated we had to go. Very rude demeanour. I was then instructed to return a few days later to speak directly with the owner regarding a resolution. When I met with the owner, I was told there was a possibility that an employee may have used bleach on the shirt. This directly conflicted with the previous statement that bleach was never used at the business. At that point, there appeared to be no accountability or consistency regarding what had happened. To resolve the matter, I was given only two options: 1. Keep the shirt and receive store credit $10. 2. Receive compensation for the shirt's value with proof of purchase, but they would keep the shirt. I explained that I believed I should be compensated for the damage while also retaining possession of my own property. I was told that was not an option. This situation is about more than just a shirt. The most concerning issue was the lack of accountability and customer service throughout the process. A mistake can happen at any business, but taking responsibility and properly addressing it is important. If this had involved a wedding dress, suit, or another valuable item, the outcome could have been much more serious. Lastly I was issued a check, they kept my shirt and owner still insisted I do not leave a bad review. Well, I'm being honest.

Renewal didn't…read moreactually chase us, but they came after they were recommended by another ambulance chaser, and in the middle of our stress and worry and their assurances that "Don't worry, insurance will pay for everything," they ended up taking clothing that was going to the Salvation Army anyway and rugs that were destroyed by the water damage of the firefighters anyway, and charging us for it all. Our bill was in the tens of thousands, and they wouldn't return anything to us to inspect the damage until after we sent the check. Once we realized there were thousands of dollars there of damaged goods that they should have refunded, we never heard from them again. It's true that insurance did pay for it, but insurance didn't pay for all the damaged area rugs and other things we needed to replace. A lot of the bigger rugs came back smelling vile, of mildew, because our house restoration took more than nine months before we received back the rugs, so I don't have pictures. We threw that stuff out immediately. All in all I would say that this company owes us about $7000 that we'll never see again as, despite my emails and phone calls, we never heard back from them after they got our check and delivered the last of our stuff. If you ever have a fire, think about going to a fabric cleaner you know, first.

I received a prompt callback from Kathryn, who provided a comprehensive explanation of the process and requested that I send her photos of the items so that she could share them with her team and provide me with an estimate. I promptly sent the photos via text at the conclusion of the call, but did not receive a response or any acknowledgement. I sent Kathryn another text the following day, but I still did not receive a response. On the third day, I called again but was met with no answer or return call. I found the service to be unprofessional. I cannot recommend their services.

The pick up was easy, the drop off even easier. Their text system is awesome and communication was clear. I have no negatives, but some might say the time/cost aren't worth it- and I wildly disagree. Time: Our pick up was in January, and we just got it dropped of today, May 9. Sure, that's a long time, but I'm also preserving my gown hopefully to store for years to come so it's not like there's a rush. Also, they do have an option if your in a time crunch to pay for expedited services, but I didn't see a need for that. Cost: I think for all items (wedding dress, lace veil, suit jacket, vest, shirt, pants, rehearsal dinner dress) was about $700. Including transportation, pick up, drop off, and preservation. Sure that's a chunk of change, but honestly the time this service saved me and the quality of work I think it was worth every penny. Everything came back pristine and the preserved dress/veil came in super nice packaging for longterm storage. I definitely will recommend this service to literally everyone.

Olivia was extremely communicative and responsive to all my questions and the entire process from start to finish was so seamless and simple. Since I live in Napa, which is outside of their pickup zones, they were able to send over a shipping label and then email updates while the dress was being cleaned and inspected. I would happily recommend this service to any brides and friends of mine who are looking to clean and preserve their special gowns!
