I ordered chow mein with BBQ pork, sweet & sour chicken, and tempura shrimp. The chow mein had a good balance of noodles, cabbage, and pork, with a clean savory flavor that wasn't overly oily. The BBQ pork added a slight sweetness that paired well with the noodles. The sweet & sour chicken had a nice crisp exterior with a sauce that wasn't overwhelming or overly sugary. It held its texture instead of turning soggy, which I appreciated. The tempura shrimp had a light batter and a fresh taste adding good contrast to the plate. I've never been to another spot that has eggrolls the size of Taco Bell Burritos!!!!! Lee's Chinese Kitchen is, definitely, a guilty pleasure for me. I love that they have the same selection you would expect from other Chinese restaurants, but what really gets me is their pricing. You cannot beat their lunch platter prices! I've tried several different entrees here and have been satisfied by all of them. It does take a bit to get your order, so if you are working on a time crunch, call to order ahead. When I call ahead, they've had my order ready in less than 20 minutes ALMOST every time. This spot is small. Definitely not the kind of place where you are going to eat in. This place has been around for years. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is good Cantonese style Chinese cuisine, but I have been spoiled by great Schezwan food and miss it, so that would be my only complaint. Not Lee's fault that I have a specialized palate. I also wish they had more soup selections. Hubby loves their egg foo young, but I find it heavy, not the fluffy style I'm used to. The beef skewers are really good, and I enjoy the house chow mein. Went in for a quick lunch yesterday. The food was amazing and the service was great but when I went to reach for the chili oil, a roach came crawling out from under the tray and crawled all over the table near my food. The waitress saw it and tried to kill it. I got up and went to the front counter where I was told, "I'm sorry the owner isn't here." They didn't offer any discount or the comp my food since you know...it was ruined by a cockroach. The waitress never sanitized the table either. For your own health, avoid at all costs. read more

I was craving chow mein. This place was close to the shopping center. This is not the place for chow mein, it looked anemic and lacked flavor. I've not been here in a very long time, since before the fire. I'm very pleased that they reopened. Although I had very bland items (due to some stomach issues), the items came out hot and steamy with just enough flavor. I had the egg flower soup which included Chinese vegetables, a nice surprise. I had the chicken with Chinese vegetables, very tasty, I had them add a little garlic. The steamed rice was just right. Let's just say it exceeded my expectations because the Garlic Chicken I was not expecting it to have spice to it.
