We had Ambiance Additions install a sunroom on an existing 2nd floor deck that connected to the master bedroom. The sunroom was built from prefabricated modular panels with their patented heat-insulated glass windows, which felt sturdy and looked great. We were also able to lock in a discounted price during their sales event. David Donnelly and his team worked thoroughly from start to finish, including the initial planning/presentation, testing of the deck foundation, obtaining the building permit, sunroom construction, and cleanup. They were not always on top of giving us notice on schedule changes and next phases, but our schedule was flexible so we did not mind. Also, we greatly appreciated that their accounting department worked with us to manage the payments from different accounts at different times that helped our tax planning. Overall, we are happy with the sunroom and we look forward to using it as our new home office. read more

We are long overdue with this review. We had a Four Seasons Sun Room built by Ambiance Additions at the end of 2022. We absolutely love the room. The circumstances were challenging due to the roof eaves being so low on our ranch style home. However, Ambiance integrated a dormer so seamlessly that it looks like it has always been there. The final product is beautiful. The room is used almost every day and/or evening. The temperature does get somewhat high in the summer months - but that is to be expected with glass and aluminum construction plus the room has large Southern and Western exposures. Also, a few small service issues have arisen over the past 2 years and they were satisfactorily addressed. David, the owner, and all the staff have always been professional and easy to work with during the entire process. read more

I am leaving this review because I have seen firsthand the frustration experienced by my elderly neighbor who recently had work performed by this contractor. She had her shower completely remodeled and it came out beautifully. The problem is that she has had issues with the doors and can not get a response from them. This just leaves the customer upset and angry, in my opinion. Apparently, when she was thinking about this remodeling project, they were quick to call her to ask WHEN she was going to decide. Unfortunately, now she can't get them to help her with her issue. They keep passing giving her the run around by saying someone will call back. And, when someone, actually called her back, it did not settle the problem... Here is where I step in. She is a senior citizen who does not know how to use a computer and therefore, can't reach out to them. All she has is her phone and that apparently is not effective. I do not like to see a person from this age group, taken advantage of. We all have a parent , grandparent, or elderly friend who needs an advocate and more importantly, respect. read more

i have a life room install back in 2021 including the mist system, after pay in full the project, the mist system is working right. i have call several time and texting to "Dave Donnelly" and he never ever respond to us. trust me stay away from this guy and the company. shady contractor. take your time and research to find the right one. read more

Scheduled an appt for an estimate with David. He did a great job with his presentation and made great recommendations, but that's where it ended. David told us be getting back to us "in a couple days" yet he never did. We left and sent emails requesting a call back but those went unanswered. Almost 2 weeks later my wife finally called the main office complaining about their customer service; that's when David called back him hawing as to why he had not called back telling us he never got our messages. Finally he said that he felt our job seemed "to complicated" and frankly they could do more jobs in the same time it would take to do ours. Wow! Very bad customer service!!!! I am very disappointed with Four Seasons. I had them come out to give me a quote on a sunroom. The person who came out was very nice and explained how he would do everything, took measurements and said he would get back to me on a quote. A few days passed and no quote so I called them. They told me they wanted to come back over and explain everything with my husband there. I said he is very busy with work and I am just getting quotes then if we choose you then we can go over everything all together. They were insistent on dealing with my husband and not me. My husband calls back and asked for the quote but they were still very insistent about going back to the house to meet with my husband to go over the plans. He said no, my wife is getting a few quotes and once we pick a company then he can go down to the show room or have the company over to iron everything out. They still were not satisfied so my husband said you lost our business. We have had many projects done to our home and I always get the quotes from the contractors and then review them with my husband. I have never been treated in this way. read more

I'm rating this only on the customer service, not the finished product , because we haven't gotten past the visit to the showroom! It is totally worth coming to the showroom, to get the size and feel of an actual sunroom. Also they have a contraption that let's you feel the difference in heat with and without their specialized windows. David D. was very patient with all our questions and really really knows his stuff. Low quality works and very bad customer service after payments - We purchased a four seasons sunroom from Ambience Additions in 2014. After the sunroom was completed, we had a lot of leaks around the connection between the existing roof of the main house and the sun room. After calling the company's project manager several times, finally the original installer came who did a little and said that he is not a roofer and it is our own responsibility to get a roofer to fix it. Since we cannot get Ambience Additions to fix it, we found a roofer to patch it. Then, the next big rain storm came, we had leaking from the window seals and seals on the glasses. I called again. After many calls to the reception, project manager (Aaron O'neil) and the owner (David Donnelly), finally, David Donnelly sent a person to fix the leaks in 2015. Since 2015, every raining season, we had leaks from the joints of two roofs. We did not contact Ambience Additions as we knew that the owner will not take care of it based on our previous experience. Fortunately, in Southern California, we had not much of rain before 2018 winter. The first bad rain can on the night of December 7, 2018, and we found severe leaks all over the sun room on the morning of 12/8/2018 morning (Saturday). I called Ambience Additions on 12/10/2018 several times and cannot reach the reception, so I left a message. I called again on 12/11/2018, I finally reached the reception Heidi, and she asked me to send her photos to heidi@ambienceadditions.com, and she said that she will let the owner David Donnelly know. Since then, I called Heidi again and again, and I called the old mobile phone of Aron (reached Ted). Heidi kept saying that the engineering team still did not make a plan. Now is 1/15/2019. More severe leaks from the heavy rains. The leaks had damaged the floors covering also. Based on my experiences, I would recommend everybody be very very careful to do business with Ambience Additions and use the products from Four Seasons Sunroom. read more

This place gets a big fat 0 for service. I went to their showroom and setup an appointment for the upcoming Sat. However, no one showed up for the appointment so I called and the person seemed surprised that I had an appointment and went to check the appointment book. My appointment was indeed in there and he asked me if I received a call the day before to confirm (which I did not, no missed calls or VMs either). He then proceeded to tell me that the person who goes to the appointments was not here since he had no confirmed appointments for that day. He then asked me to call back on Mon, and I did not understand why he could not either call the person who was going to come out and check if they could come later on in the day, or setup another appointment and why I needed to talk to someone else to do this. So I called back on Mon and was told by another person that the person incharge of appointments wasn't there and they would call me on Tues. Half the day went by on Tues and no one called so I called and had to re-spill my story to a 3rd person. Who then also proceeded to tell me that someone would call me back. Which so far no one has, and who knows if they every will. It seems like this place is run by some very incompetent people. And after this experience of trying to setup an appointment it really makes me wonder how the ordering and installation process will go. Perhaps this is a sign of things to come? read more

Overall we had a very good experience with 4-Seasons/Ambiance Additions. We had a sunroom installed that added some much needed square footage to our home. The end result is beautiful!! The only problem is the rain. It's very loud in our new room. When I called 4-Seasons, I was told it was due to our choice of flooring (hardwood) and that it is causing an echo. I wish we had thought to ask about that beforehand. Thankfully it doesn't rain too much in L.A. Overall though the room looks fantastic and we have received many compliments when we have guests. read more

Four Seasons by Ambiance Additions did a great job on our sunroom reglaziing. They needed to replace all the windows since over time they became seriously discolored. Our sunroom has a very high roof so the reglazing project was pretty challenging. But they did a great job. Scaffolding needed to be put up but the crew was careful to protect our tile flooring so no damage was done. Our new sunroof is now beautiful and clear and through it we can see our trees. Ambiance Additions deserves a five star rating. They installed a sun room on the balcony of my condo in Arcadia. They took care of the hassle of obtaining HOA approval as well as City's permit. All I needed to do was to provide the HOA contact information. An engineer was assigned to my project and he kept me informed every step of the way from beginning to finish. The technician who did the installation was very professional and everything was done according to the City code and that made the city inspections very easy. We recently had all new replacement windows and sliding doors installed in our home in Brea. The job entailed 4 sliders and 11 windows. The whole thing was completed in 3 days with minimal disruption to our life. The finished job looks great and works great. I had an appointment set three weeks in advance for an estimate from Four Season's Sunrooms. The appointed 2 PM time came and went. When I phoned to see when they were coming I had to wait for a call back. At that time I was informed they were not and would not be coming because the area I was interested in updating was not an original Four Seasons Room. I presume they do not need the business. I had a sunroom installed by them almost 10 years ago. It has been a great room. I needed to get a new door made and went to there showroom this afternoon as per there website, they are open from 2-4 pm only on saturdays. I arrived at 2;20 and seen they were closed. The sign on the door says open 10-2 on saturdays wich would make more sence, but that is not what the website says. Would not be a biggie but I drove an hour to get there. read more
