This place is definitely an unsuspecting dime. It's right in the heart of Clarendon across from Trader Joe's and rarely ever is packed with people. We decided to give it a try after craving banh mi. The food came out in massive portions and was all fresh and authentic. Banh Mi: I got the chicken banh mi and it came out just how I was hoping. The chicken had a ton of flavor. There was ample topping and all of the veggies were fresh and high quality. The bun was also fresh, came with some light mayo, and was very airy which complemented the filling. Also, get the brown sauce they keep by the register - it will completely elevate the roll! Shrimp Spring Roll: These were easily the largest spring rolls I have ever seen. They were packed with rice, carrots, cucumber, cilantro, and shrimp. All the ingredients were fresh and the ratio of them was perfect. They also came with a yummy sauce. read more

Updated review, October 2021 We loved this place pre-pandemic and was worried that it may be effected badly by the lockdown of 2020. It is our first visit back since pre-pandemic. The menu got drastically reduced, they no longer serve our favorite small soups or baby clams salad. The menu is basically either pho or grilled meats over vermicelli. The portions are generous, food is tasty but no longer their special dishes for which we kept driving from DC. I can have same pho and grilled pork at my neighborhood joint. Also, the atmosphere of a restaurant and their beautiful flower arrangements are gone ( quite understandably). There is no ordering at the table , you order at the counter and pay, then a server brings you food to the table. The ambiance is of a canteen, not a Restraunt. Yet, I sm glad it has survived the worst times and wish they full recovery. It is still a good option to order a take out or have a quick meal outside on a warm day. Consistently delicious for fast casual Vietnamese food. Love that it's easier for Arlingtonians to get to than the Merrifield location Four Sisters (Huong Que) relocated to years ago (but that's not really for takeout/fast casual anyway, so this is more like a reincarnation of Song Que -- Huong Que's old "sister" deli). That said, I truly wish it were easier to pick up food here. Parking in this area is always a mess, even if it's only for a minute to grab and go. The bún is very good in particular. Their pho is just decent, but nice to have the option when ordering for a large group. Banh mi is pretty good too, but can't really compare to places that make their own fresh rolls and serve only banh mi. read more

Take my review with a grain of salt because I tried this place via Grubhub takeout. The food came pretty quickly and they were taking orders on the Monday of a holiday weekend which was nice. I wasn't impressed by the food. I tried the chicken pho and the pork spring rolls. The pho was fine flavor wise, but the chicken was pretty dry. The size of the pork spring rolls was great (they were huge) but they visually didn't look appetizing - the outsides were burnt and the insides were a gray/brown. An affordable place for Vietnamese staple food! Got the noodle bowl and really enjoyed them. The portion size was large and the meat was well seasoned. I had the lemon grass beef on vermicelli - also excellent and full of flavor. Staff was very pleasant and very aware of allergies. Four Sisters has been a long time favorite of our family. The Pho is good but the Bun and Pork spring rolls are fantastic. During COVID, we ordered Four Sisters at least once a week and it was consistently great. Unfortunately we've been dining in the restaurant more recently and have been super disappointed that they continue to use so much plastic for dine-in customers. Not only is this unnecessary and terrible for the environment but the plastic spoons in particular are so small it makes eating Pho awkward and miserable. Do better Four Sisters!! read more

I've been going here since high school and I enjoy it even more every time. Personally I'm a banh mi over pho kinda guy so I'll be talking about that. We got the beef banh mi, the grilled lemongrass beef plate, and of course the crispy spring rolls. It all came out to around $25 dollars and honestly I'd pay more. It's that good. Vietnamese beef is just the best. There's just something about the was they season it and four sisters is no exception! Topped with carrots, jalapeños, onions, and cilantro the beef banh mi is sure to have your mouth watering as soon as the aroma hits your nose. Hot tip: if you like your food to be on the spicy side and your mouth to be aflame ask for some of the spicy chili sauce and pair that with some sriracha. Maybe I'm drowning out all the flavor but you won't hear that from me! The lemongrass beef is basically the banh mi over rice. So if you want to trade your carbs, it's a great alternative. Top it with their special fish sauce and you're off to the races! Add a side of the crispy spring rolls to round out the meal because they're basically a necessity. In fact, if you aren't really that hungry just forget about everything I said above and order these crispy spring rolls. For my money they're the best thing on the menu. A seasoned four sisters veteran would tell you to wrap them in the mint leaf garnish but that's up to you. We ordered take out and they let us eat inside. They have a few tables setup they are distanced appropriately. So you can "dine-in". We ordered gluten free pho tai and my company ordered the N5- I think it was a shrimp rice dish. We both loved it! The broth was pretty tasty and flavorful. It came with all the usual trimmings of sprouts, lime, basil and sriracha. Could have used an extra lime given the amount of broth but I was happy. Definitely one of the better fast casual restaurants in Clarendon. I appreciate the truncated menu compared to their original restaurant. Makes ordering much faster and I imagine it shortens food prep time too. Their grilled pork dishes are amazing and plentiful in both rice and noodle formats. The Banh Mi are actually quite good here although pricey compared to some Banh Mi joints, although in Clarendon, this is the only game in town. The pork spring roll is my favorite item on the menu and having eaten these my entire life, I can say these are near the top in taste, even when compared to the West Coast. At 2pm on 3/18 or 3/19, I walked-in, saw the menu board above counter, approached the male attendant/cashier and gave a first food order, then paused to check the Board for a 2nd order, both takeaways. The staff drummed one hand on the counter which appeared to show me his impatience with giving the 2nd food order. I paid, waited, and received the takeaway orders. I arrived home and discovered one of the two orders was not the dish I ordered. I called and a staff member answered but said she could not hear me because of loud background talking in the restaurant and asked to call me back. I was a bit annoyed and complained about the wrong food dish I was given. I ended the conversation saying I won't ever be returning. I suggest for the staff/cashier to be more respectful and not show hand-drumming impatience and the staff receiving my call to be more receptive and helpful in addressing the incorrect food given to me. read more

Didn't realize I never left a review for four sisters grill. It's a good spot for Clarendon, as most of the Vietnamese restaurants are slowly disappearing. This is a fast casual "sister" restaurant of the bigger four sisters, which serves soups and rice bowls, among other things. It's quick, it's pretty good, but prices are higher than what you would expect from a Vietnamese restaurant (probably due to prime location). The pho is ok. TBH I only got pho here because pho 75 was closed for the lunar new year and I was in the area craving hot soup. The rice bowls are good. Grilled lemongrass anything is usually good, and here it's delicious. However, I can't give it 4 stars - portions are small and prices are a tad high - I definitely need two dishes to fill up, which should not be the case. read more

The Crispy Pork Spring Rolls were really good - very crunchy, pretty large, and the filling inside was quite tasty (although each order only comes with 2 rolls. you could probably split one pretty easily if you have more people in your party though). I ate mine wrapped in a little bit of romaine lettuce which made it even tastier. The Lemongrass Pork over rice was also well cooked and seasoned very nicely. The meat had that amazing chargrilled smoky flavor and the accompanying sauce was a good complement. First of let me tell you I'm from New Orleans which is where the holy land of Vietnamese food is at. Craving just thinking about New Orleans food where everything is good. The French bread was soft with the right amount of butter mayo and veggies. Pork was marinated flavorfully. Only 2 options for Pho. Chicken or Steak Beef. Steak Beef pho was good but the broth was a little to clear/light. Usually beef broth have a darker color. Prices was affordable. I think a regular pho bowl was $9.50 Banh mi $7ish Thai tea Side of egg rolls (added to my BF grilled pork rice noodle bowl) Grilled Pork with Rice Noodles (they add a lot of bean sprouts to fill the bowl so ask for none or very little) Total was $38 which is pretty affordable for the Clarendon area Side note: there was a paper sign that said the no longer serve smoothies. read more

Went to eat at Four Sisters Grill for early dinner. The place is casual so you have to order at the counter. We have tried the Grilled Lemongrass Chicken with Rice, Grilled Lemongrass Pork with Noodles, Iced Coffee and Avocado Shake. We were really impressed on how tender the grilled meats are, especially the chicken. I could really taste the marinade in each bite. The drinks were amazing as well.
