I came into town for work and on the first day had the sole separate from one of my dress shoes…read more Sam fixed it in a hurry...24 hour turnaround time. Quick service, and got me out of a bind. However, after wearing them for 4 hours the night after I picked them up the sole came off again. I was very frustrated. I took them back and only then did he inform me that the fix was not guaranteed to work. Wish he would have set those expectations to begin with. He tried again and the fix lasted an hour. Unfortunately, the soles were a weird foam rubber that didn't mend. Lost cause. Solid 4 stars but not 5. My regular shoe guy not only fixes them but gives a good polish too...goes above and beyond. Got these back as I left them, which is fine, just not as expected. Would have asked for a polish if I'd known. Was also surprised I had to pay when I dropped off...never had to do that with similar services where you are leaving something as collateral. I later found out there was a shoe repair on first floor of my hotel with good reviews already. Wondering if I shoud have used them or if they could have done something different to fix. Not Sam's fault if it's not fixable, but he needs to be up front with customers when they drop off if he doesn't think it is fixable.

A quick walk from my office, I dropped off my shoes with a floppy sole and he fixed them quickly. The owner is extremely respectful. He inspected my bag and made suggestions that were very knowledgeable. I was not ready to put in all the work that the bag required and I respect that he did not take the work to do a quick fix. This tells me he takes his work very seriously and I respect that. I would 100% trust this place for any repairs on high end pieces!
