Worst experience EVER!!!!! Never come here. I came here initially telling her I have an event to go to. And I just wanted a root touch up. She stained my forehead all around, didn't blow dry my hair all the way, and let me walk out with my hair poofy and wet. This was the WORST experience of my LIFE!! Last Sunday my boyfriend and I stopped in for some much needed haircuts. Joann did a great job with my hair, she cut my bangs just above my eyebrows, added some layers to frame my face and cut off my split ends! Best of all it was only $18 which is an amazing price point, my boyfriend's was just $12 a steal and he was very happy with the cut! My girlfriend made hair appointments for her and myself and we came right after I got off work. $12+ for men's haircut and $18+ for women's haircut, this place is definitely affordable and they cut quite awesomely. They cut my hair to my explicit instructions and I am happy with my haircut. Definitely will be coming back again and again. read more

The way my hair was cut it looked absolutely horrible at the end not at all what I asked for I asked for simple thin bangs and a trim she messed up the layers of my hair the front side pieces of my hair were cut so short then stick out it looks like a damn Lego helmet on my head DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! read more

I was very impressed with the service here! I decided last minute to dye my hair and they were able to take me last minute. I was pretty nervous as this was the first time I dyed my hair. I wanted something that would look okay with my natural hair color growing back in. Joann was great! She was very sweet and took her time despite other clients coming as walk ins. My hair was healthy and long, but no more. Joann did my Bayalage a couple months ago, so I went back to get the brassy red/orange out of my hair. What I got was hair literally melting off in clumps of 2-3 inches from the mid section of my crown down to the ends of my hair. Hair was everywhere on the floor and on my cape, not to mention that my hair color was spotted like a leopard throughout my hair, or what was left of it. Needless, to say I was horrified and cried. She even had the audacity to downplay it and insinuated she explained what might happen. I guess I must have dozed off (NOT!) while she said she explained the process since there was no mention of it. After leaving the salon, I immediately called my stylist back in Hawaii, she said my hair melted due to Joann over processing it. Haircuts are one thing, but when it comes to any coloring or bleaching be careful who you trust with your hair. A valuable lesson, I'll never forget. read more

Haircut was extremely uneven and choppy. Asked for a certain style and ended up with a trim that didn't even take off all my dead ends it was pretty random. No wash or styling either. Also a lot of the photos posted for this salon look sus. Might be good for a mens cut but definitely not somewhere that does specific styles. Nice staff though. read more

I just met Joann this morning, and I'm really happy with the A-Line cut she reshaped my overgrown hair into. She's fun, friendly, and definitely knows what she's doing with the shears! I know that hair is one of those totally subjective grey areas...some people freak out over even one stray strand. (Others may be like me and take a more easygoing view on it. It will grow back. :) ) Joann definitely did my cut justice. I'll definitely be back for more! I appreciate her quick approach, having had cuts in the past that took 2 hours, the 15 minutes it took her to expertly manage my 'do was perfect. I love that she knows exactly what to do with my half-asian texture-full hair. (I've had lots of hairdressers complain about it-being too thick and straight must be a bad thing?) This place is near where my husband and I live, so he goes frequently. The last few times we've gone it's been very busy and there's only been two stylists, so we ended up waiting 90 minutes since there were 4 people ahead of us. I don't mind waiting, but I know some people do. It's relatively clean and the stylists are nice and personable. Reasonable pricing for what they do, but we've only gone for cuts. read more

I just moved back to Orangevale from Los Angeles and had not gotten a good haircut in a while. It was getting a bit long around the ears and since I work in an office as a consultant I thought I better get a cut. I was driving home from Folsom on Madison and saw Paragon Hair Salon and a sign saying $9.99 for men's haircuts... "OK, I'll give it a try". I went in and Joann asked me what I wanted and knocked out my cut in like 5 minutes! It was perfect and I have not had a perfect cut in about 2 years... there is always something I find off about it a day or two later - but not with this cut! It's a clean shop and easy to find and there is plenty of parking. If you are a guy (or gal) looking for a great cut at a really great price I'd say come here! read more

Walked in when I was passing by to ask a question about color and they immediately sat me down and fixed my coloring problem! And it was only for $85! I have thick hair and it's about 5 inches past the shoulders and previous estimates from other places was around $150-$200. They're so sweet and know exactly what they're doing. Been going there for a long time. Finally have a full card to get a free hair cut. They say they won't honor it. They say it took me too long to fill it out. I get a hair cut about every 6 to 8 weeks. To get 10 hair cuts will take well over a year. They say that took too long. TERRIBLE customer relations. read more
