    Dog friendly patio

What a great find! We had excellent service here and the food was fantastic. There's also a dog park located in the parking lot and a dog-friendly patio, so you can wear out your pup and then bring him over for lunch. It's also right along a walking trail, so it's great for people watching. My sole complaint is that they allow smoking on the patio. This is a bummer for two reasons. First, ew, smoking. And second, because they allow smoking, children cannot be on the patio. We were traveling with a dog, so I had to sit on the patio with the dog while my husband sat inside with our kiddo.

Cute local spot with great food! Great dinner spot downtown Kokomo with easy parking and friendly servers. They offer several seating types and a bar only area for 21+. Drinks are all reasonably priced (cocktails for under $6!) though we didn't try any this visit. We split a prime rib and the grouper between 3 adults (4 sides total) and it was MORE than enough food (leftovers for sure). The prime rib was medium rare and tender and juicy! It came with green beans which we weren't expecting but were delicious (doctored up with bacon and all). The grouper was light and flaky and a huge portion! Overall a great dinner spot that's worth checking out!

Very good breaded tenderloin and grouper sandwich. Neat ambience. Nice outside seating and view of park.

The last time I ate there it was freezing cold. Bring your winter coat. Very uncomfortable. Food is great.

Great service every time, however the food is "okay". Nothing to spectacular, especially for the high prices

It was far from the limited menu and "See here is our brewery equipment" place. Researching their website, we were convinced this was the place to be on our "chasin' racin'" weekend. My companion noticed that the clientele was quite diverse. I noted that also. We both agreed it was a sign of a thriving establishment. Autumn was our server and she was a lot of fun. Conversant, knowledgeable of the menu, and attentive, she was just great. One of my sides was a Caesar Salad. It was copious to the point that I could not finish it when it was appropriately brought out ahead of time. As a diabetic, I am concerned about carbs, but the Alaskan Whitefish grabbed me . While my plate was messy, I peeled off the coating and enjoyed the nice tender fish inside. In Tennessee, corn pudding is different than what they brought me, but it was wonderful. Bread pudding of the day was S'mores. I had my fill, brought home the rest and my family loved it. Local history was abundant. The menu held an article on local history and the lobby had many historic photos of local interest. I took many photos of them for remembrance. Chances are I will never return to Kokomo. But if I do go back. This is where I will dine.

Our server, Caidence, was friendly, but she seemed completely unaware of what was going on…read morethroughout our meal. When we were settled we were the first table in her section, and she only had three tables total (our party of 5, a party of 4, and a 2-top), yet she seemed very overwhelmed. We waited around 15-20 minutes just to place our order while it seemed she took care of the other two tables first. From there, there were multiple mistakes. While setting food down, the strings from her bracelet dragged right across my steak. I didn't want the kitchen to have to remake my steak because of her, so I didn't make a big deal out of it. But it's something a server should be aware of. As she was still taking our order, we changed one side from fries to a baked potato. She said no problem and that she'd fix it, but the food still came out with fries. We had to ask for several items that were missing, and it took around 10 minutes before she returned with them. Only then did she acknowledge the baked potato after we brought it up. The biggest issue was the Sirloin Sydney Salad. The menu describes it as fresh mixed greens, arugula, cucumbers, tomatoes, bacon, pepitas, blue cheese crumbles, balsamic glaze, and steak. The only modification requested was no balsamic glaze, with the tomatoes, bacon, pepitas, and blue cheese on the side. Instead, the salad came out as a bowl of iceberg lettuce with about four cucumber slices and the steak on top. There were no mixed greens, no arugula, and none of the requested toppings on the side. After we had pointed it out to her, she eventually brought a small condiment cup of arugula and another with pepitas, after we were basically finished eating. The arugula was soggy, and the rest of the missing toppings never came. Paying around $22 for what was essentially iceberg lettuce and steak was very disappointing. Some of the blame certainly falls on the kitchen, but as a former server myself, I know it's also the server's responsibility to notice when a dish is obviously incorrect before bringing it to the table and to have it fixed. There were simply too many mistakes, and there seemed to be very little awareness of what was happening. Despite everything, we still left a decent tip because we eat out often and generally tip well. If I had been dining alone, though, this would have been one of the few times I felt a 10% tip was more appropriate. One final disappointment was that someone in our party ordered a sweet potato and was told they were out because they had used them all throughout the week. This was on a Sunday. It seems like a restaurant should plan inventory well enough to have a basic side item available through the weekend. Overall, the experience was frustrating because it wasn't just one mistake, it was a pattern of poor attention to detail from both the server and the kitchen.

The establishment is old and has dark wood from top to bottom, covered in Irish decor. We sat in a secluded area that honestly felt like we were on a boat. I got a french dip sandwich - which was on soft toast which made it really hard to dip in the au juis with fries (which were really cripsy and flavorful). Honestly, I've had better dip sandwiches so I wouldn't get it again however they have a very large menu and lots of Irish favorites. Will go back to the establishment for something else. I counted five booths and five counter stools that stayed full during our visit. The staff (a couple) are salt-of-the-earth sweet and hustle to keep orders coming. They know the regulars by name and cajole about family. The menu offers breakfast or lunch, with tenderloins as the featured items. Prices are inexpensive. Food comes out quickly. The tenderloins are premade and frozen. They are thin and the breading is flavorful. I had the daily special, a Tenderloin Manhattan which came with green beans and mashed potatoes. This was pure comfort food. The potatoes and tenderloin were good, but the gravy was over salty for me. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich with fries. The tenderloin was ok and the fries were really hot and good. An article on the wall indicated that Artie, the original owner, passed away in an auto accident in 1954. A local business award plaque hung above our table. I'm not sure that the shop is A.D.A. compliant as there are steps at the front door and the aisle is very narrow. There may be a ramp at a rear entrance, I couldn't tell. We found free street parking on an adjacent street. I give the place high marks on character and I love the service. The food is ok.
