This was my first time visiting Foxtail Coffee. It's surprising because they have locations all over Central Florida. I consider it to be local since it all started in Winter Park, Florida which is not too far from us. Looks like they are expanding outside of the Sunshine State as I see a shop in Newnan, Georgia. Very nice! They are also pooch friendly. I looked at all the cute pictures of doggies enjoying a puppaccino (whipped cream) on their Winter Park FB page. So adorable! This particular location is in the same plaza as Eggs Up Grill and Frankie's Italian Deli off of US-301 in Riverview. It's such a beautiful and relaxing space with a lot of rustic charm. Lots of warm wood tones, cool light fixtures, and just beautifully decorated all around. It hasn't been open very long and it's already popular. There's always a steady flow of people going in and out, and those comfy lounge seats at the front of the coffee shop are always occupied. They are the best seats in the house for families or study buddies. There is lots of indoor seating with a mixture of high and low seating. There is coffee bar seating as well. The staff are all professional, nice, and polite. The service has been great each time I've been there. The coffee is wonderful! I tried the orange bitters doppio and added honey as the sweetener. It was actually very good and unique. I never thought of using bitters in coffee but it works. The honey balanced out the tangy orange flavor and I think I like it better than the average double shot of espresso. Today, I decided to get the café con canela off of the daily chalk board menu. It was perfect! The cinnamon and coffee pairing was exactly what I needed today. The foam was so creamy and frothy, and it went well with the slice of banana bread. I've wanted to try Foxtail ever since reading a glowing review from my Yelp friend who gets everything right. She nailed it yet again. It's all decked out in warm wood tones with beautiful light fixtures and natural light streaming in from the front windows. There's a blend of seating at two high counters, little two-seater tables, one large table up front and a gaggle of armchairs that looks so inviting, I may just set up camp. Truly, the whole place feels like my chai tea latte tasted: pure comfort. And then there's that bacon jalapeño quiche I mentioned. Oh, my! It was so good, it's set a new standard for breakfast. What an amazing blend of flavors in a flaky, buttery crust. Served piping hot, it was just the perfect morning spice. Long after I finished it, I sat there savoring the memory of it and smiling-utter gorgeousness. Ahhhh.... Ok! So, Foxtail is in Riverview on the east side of 301, in the same plaza as Eggs Up Grill and Bubbakoo's Burritos, with lots of parking. This was my 2nd time here and I was disappointed. Both times I ordered the ham egg and Gouda cheese croissant. However the flavor is GREAT, this second time my sandwich was completely cold. I believe these are premade and just heated up per order. I didn't go back inside because I had already gone back to have my iced Matcha latte fixed. The first time it came out it tasted only like oat milk and no matcha. Although when I went back inside, the girl was super kind and explained that they make their matcha in-house, and sometimes the servings could be off. She added a few more pumps, but then it ended up being a bit too sweet for my liking. Also, I don't know what was up with the cup, but it kept dripping all over which was annoying. Like most places they charge you for the non dairy options, which was $.75 for pay milk. This was a complete different experience from my first time. The place is very nice inside with available seating inside and out. I believe they also have Wi-Fi because I see a lot of people their with laptops. I love the wooden aesthetics. It's a really nice place. Not too big like your typical coffee shop. I think it was just a bad day but I'm not going to cancel this place out. I went on opening day - created this yelp page (hope they claim it). This was my first time trying Foxtail Coffee, it was delicious. I tried the Lavender Honey Latte (which is suggested on their menu). Pretty good. I was surprised that it wasn't one flavor -- they upcharged for honey and the lavender . . . just a bit strange. A small iced Lavender Honey Latte with oatmilk was roughly $8. I will visit back. This space is a vibe, perfect for working, answering emails. They have two bars, one at the barista counter with charger outlets and purse/bag hangers and one facing the wall and out the way of customers coming in. There is two couch seating areas at the entrance and regular table seating, as well. They have water bowls for dogs which is cool and over heard them offering a "pup cup" to a customer with a tiny purse puppy. Super dog friendly. Staff was friendly. Parking can get hectic as it is a plaza with another restaurant or two, along with other businesses. read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Brandon! It's super cute and cozy. Good amount of seating and outlets, so it's perfect for getting some work done. There is plenty of parking too. Such a lovely coffee shop to mingle with friends or to come and get some work done. I needed a change of scenery outside of home to do some school work and this was a very relaxing environment. Upon walking in, there is a warm and welcoming smell that I can't seem to explain, but it is delightful. They have a variety of coffee and teas, breakfast items and pastries. I ordered a large, vanilla caramel cold brew iced coffee with oat milk and it came up to almost $8, it was strong and delicious. I also purchased a bag of pretzel chips to snack on. Very neat atmosphere with kind baristas, and the inside design is beautiful. It is clean and also clean in the gender neutral bathrooms. They're also dog friendly and will give your dog a treat! I love Foxtail Coffee in Orlando so the one in Tampa was a given. I love the ambiance and the coffee is always great. Today I had a Cafe con Leche with condensed milk and it was made just right! Not too sweet or thick. The baristas were friendly. We liked all the gifts they had and also ordered croissants and muffins and both were excellent. Great quality. The only thing is there is no outside seating, hand sanitizer, or anyone inside wearing a mask (including employees) so I probably wouldn't go there and spend time inside. If they added some outside seating it would be perfect. Still will stop by though for some coffee to go. read more

Very nice place! Prices are about the same as star bucks. I have tried the iced green tea with honey and it was very good and flavorful! I also had the butterscotch iced coffee. It didn't really taste like butterscotch to me and needed a stevia to sweeten it up a bit. The Inside is very nice and clean but if you're looking to work remote from here, I would not recommend it if you have meetings frequently. They do play music and people talk loud. The wife and I came here after trying to go to another coffee shop in the area (Chill Cawfee) but left because its attached to a karate studio and there was a competition going on (that was super weird). This was our second trip to Foxtail and it seems to be a generally nice coffee shop. It seems like an incredibly clean and inviting shop that you can come and relax with some friends at. It is located in a plaza with ample parking. I have to say that they seem like they put a lot of effort into their coffee but they fall a little short. Each time I have come here they have told me that their coffee maker is ridiculously expensive but I'm never that wowed by the outcome. As these exist all over Central Florida, I never thought for a long time that they would make their way to Tampa Bay. I've been to their Lake Nona location and fell in love with that one (refer to my Lake Nona, Orlando, Florida Foxtail Coffee review). This one still has that same awesome beautiful café charm with friendly staff. The prices of each item are relatively reasonable and you can relax here before heading off to your next destination. There are a few seats with a relatively cozy size, but if you go at the right time, there might be a spot or two open. They're also dog friendly for those who have dogs. Food, ambiance, service, everything was perfect I'm usually hesitant when trying a new coffee shop as I can be a harsh critic. A lot of Riverview/ Tampa bound coffee shops do not have a high quality brew, leaving their coffee tasting acidic- like most franchises. As I love Starbucks, they are known for their many flavors, not the quality of coffee itself. I want a coffee house that depends on the quality of the bean. As I walked into Foxtail, I expected a Starbucks roast- which let's be real, is only tolerable with hella syrups and flavors mixed in to mask the acidity. Foxtail provides a wooden industrial vibe, lots of seating, and a relaxed alternative playlist in the background, perfect for any chill setting. You can tell the quality of roast by an espresso, so I ordered an iced lavender latte. Luckily, the drink is made with lavender bitters instead of a sweetened syrup, so the main flavor of the drink will be the espresso. I was pleasantly surprised to sip on a velvety, rich, and bold latte with a hint of lavender feel. I was Immediately sold! My partner got an iced green tea, with loads of honey. It's always a good sign when a coffee house seeps their tea fresh every order, instead of making a large batch and serving throughout the day. We only hung out for a bit as it was pretty busy, But immediately came back the next day for a few hours to read and work. We enjoyed every minute of being there! The staff is incredibly friendly and are knowledgeable on the menu, I overheard them helping out many customers finding a drink best suited for their tastes.
