my son and I came from out of town. I'm very laid back I'm not a snob service was horrible ... pink haired waitress ... did not seat us ... I had to ask the bartender where to sit. when she came over .... we ordered a coke with a lemon. and a water. she informed us that the water is self serv. no problem. when she returned with the coke no lemon ... she took our order. then asked if I wanted to close out. I said no. then asked if I would mind she took my card out it into the machine and then haned it back with options to tip. starting at 20% and going up. we had not gotten our food yet. I said this is weird. of course we never saw her again. 20% for what. this has never happened to me. this is a terrible way to serve people. it's too bad bc the food was good. I give this place a BIG FAT 0000000ZERO00000 My girlfriend and I went in for St. Patrick's Day. First off, the place had absolutely no music. It was just people yelling and the ambience was total crap. All the lights were blasted on, so it was super bright. Her and I got to the bar and were not greeted at all and stood there for a good 10 minutes before a bartender came over after serving several people that had stepped up to the bar after us. We were then served, crappy and very small Irish car bombs. The bartender was surly and bitchy and then charged us $17 a piece, for the shittiest car bomb ever had. How hard is it to make that. Menu online looked good and how do you pass up an Irish pub. We walked in and it immediately smelled musty and moldy. We were going to leave but decided to go and check out the upstairs deck. We went up to look around and was about to leave and the bartender brought up menus so we felt obligated to stay. bad idea! We ordered fish and chips and the reuben. We asked if the corned beef was tender and thinly sliced and he said it's amazing and that he had it for lunch. We ordered it and it was so tough. Nope. Nope #1 their cocktails! They are watered down and awful. We went here last Friday, we ordered 3 cocktails 2-3 were bad, the Moscow Mule was utterly undrinkable. Nope #2 the bar tender! When we asked to have it replaced after one sip the bartender tried to engage us on how a Moscow Mule is a straight forward cocktail and there's no way they could mess it up- yeah. That's what I'd think too... but you did and it's fucking terrible (may have had soap or cleaning chemical residuals on the mug). After getting the 'cocktail speech' from our less than friendly bar tender he offered to replace it. We stuck with beer after that. Nope # 3 Billing! They still charged us for the cocktail they F'ed up! Where to start! This place is super cool. We sat at the bar and chit chatted with the bartenders. Very friendly and noticed a cool feature behind the bar. The bar was full with all sorts of people & everyone seemed to be having fun. Our server, Brett, was top notch. The spicy cloverita cocktail was recommended to me as I wanted something I hadn't had before. It did not disappoint. The habanero bitters were just the right amount of heat. My husband had a Boddingtons beer which can be hard to find. The food was really good. The sausage around the Scotch egg was delicious & the whole thing was cooked perfectly. I absolutely adored our time at the foxy proper Pub. This Pub features unlimited menu but what is on the menu packs a punch. They have unique selections to release capture the Spirit of Ireland though I'd be remiss if I said this was a truly Irish Pub. We came here to meet with five others and the bartenders were absolutely excellent. You order your food at the bar and then they'll give you a number to bring your food to your table. This does prevent too much jostling around as covid is still amongst us. My fish and chips came out hot and were delicious. I was surprised that there ketchup is not straight ketchup, it actually has curry in it which gives another European Flair. Bonus points. I was sad that we did not get malt vinegar with our fish and chips, other members of our party when they received theirs at a later time did get malt vinegar. One person an hour party order the Scotch egg and it was absolutely beautiful, but he was a little unimpressed with a sausage.
