I was a little mixed on this place because its a bit all over the place being one of THE sports bars in The Domain. With that being said, comparatively speaking, this place actually does better with what they have than expected. Yeah, its a pretty standard sports bar, but they have some interesting food items and a pretty killer beer list. We went with the onion rings which was the highlight of the meal. They were perfectly sized and crunchy! Great call! I went with the Irish Potato which was basically a giant baked potato topped with Shepard's pie. I am not a big shepard's pie kind of guy, but I thought it added quite a bit to the potato so I was happy with my pick! My buddy got the fish and chips. There was only one fish and he said it wasn't particularly warm. That was a bummer along with it taking forever to get service here. With that being said, the place was decently packed so our server was likely doing the best she could. The Domain seems to be one of those weird places where they can get overwhelmed really fast. Cool little irish pub. Very extensive beer list! If you can't find something you like here well maybe beer is not for you! We definitely wanted to try some of the local brews. The EastCider's BlackBerry was fruity with no weird aftertaste like some ciders can have. My partner ordered the Jester King Mama Luna. It was refreshing with just a hint of sweetness. The Nitro Espresso Martini was everything I hoped it would be; smooth and delicious. I thought Redhead in Bed might be a little too sweet with the agave and strawberries but the hint of lemon balanced it out. Wow, Ryann's beer suggestions were absolutely stellar, her service truly elevated our experience! As for the food, the Philly Smoker Hogi and the Pit Plate Nachos (with fries, which unfortunately made them a bit soggy and the pork dry and unseasoned) both landed at a 6/10. The brisket sandwich was a bit better, hitting an 8/10, mainly thanks to its barbecue sauce that even surpassed Buck-ee's--though, the comparison itself speaks volumes! We stopped in here to grab a drink before dinner and chose to sit outside on the patio. Definitely a very busy place which is expected for an Irish pub. They have over 80 beers on top including cider, which seems to be a rarity in the state of Texas. My husband got harp because it's so hard to find it on tap anywhere in the states right now. I tried the Austin Work cider. I tried both the dry blackberry and the strawberry hibiscus. Both of them are really good. We got there a little bit before 4 o'clock and as we were sitting at the bar, it's steadily became busier and busier so it's definitely an after work hangout or just a place to come and hang out in general. Definitely gets pretty loud both inside and outside. Located in the domain area there are plenty of parking garages around so you can park and walk to location. Jack & Ginger's is a traditional Irish style pub/bar in The Domain. Pretty centrally located, parking is easy to find and it's very accessible. The closest garage will be the red garage. They have both outdoor and indoor options for seating which is a plus. The interior is nice, less pub-like but still gives you the feeling of being in one. They have booths and a separate more intimate seating area too, as well as classic bar tops. There are a lot of seats inside so you don't have to worry about a lack of choices and they have a lot of TV options to catch your favorite game at. We've personally come a few Sundays and have always had a good time watching a game. We often come here for trivia night on Mondays which is always a blast. They often get a very good turnout on trivia night with about 15-20 teams and it gets highly competitive. If you place top 3 you get little prizes and sometimes they have good ones like gift cards to the bar itself. Trivia typically runs about 1.5 hours and every week it's been getting better and better. Outside of trivia they also run bingo nights and have a dart board at the back of the bar. The servers are very friendly and they seem to recognize regulars. They have a decent amount of food options here and they're solid too. We've had their jumbo pretzels, chips with queso, burger, etc. and all are pretty good for bar food. The only heads up would be their queso does have peppers in it so if you're not into that maybe stay away. As for the beer, it's always fresh on tap and never tastes off and the pours are pretty good as well. The waitresses are pretty attentive and check in often if you're in their area. We've been here day and night and brought our dog a few times as well so we've seen this place in all settings. It's definitely a friendly and fun sit down bar to enjoy with others, we'd recommend stopping by or planning to watch a game with some others, you won't regret it. read more

But there is good food worth eating at plenty of other nearby spots. The waitress was lovely and attentive, but she was truly the best part of our visit. The pickles were bland, no flavor to the breading. And the pickles were so hot inside that my friends actually burned their hands after having to spit out their bites because they were burning their tongues. They were not hot to the touch, but as one of my friend said "it like lava inside". The reason we went was for the pretzel...meh. I wish I was making this up: our server didn't know what salad dressing was. We ordered wings, a cheese quesadilla, and a side salad. The salad came out entree sized, but with no dressing. We asked for some and the server gave us a very confused look. She said "what do you mean?" My companion said "this didn't come with any dressing, do you have blue cheese?" She said "I don't know what that is." He said "you know? Salad dressing?" She shook her head. He said "Like... blue cheese? Balsamic? Ranch? You put it on salad?" She said "oh.... you mean like Caesar?" He gave up and said "sure Caesar is fine." She toddled off and came back several minutes later with a little cup of blue cheese dressing and said "I found some!" What??? The quesadilla came out and it had bacon on it. This was not disclosed on the menu. It was good but if you're vegetarian, Jewish, or Muslim, or simply can't eat pork, DO NOT get the quesadilla. I am still a little shocked that undisclosed pork was on a food item. The wings were good, classic buffalo wings. I really appreciate that they didn't try to do something new and innovative with that. The drinks we got were 50/50. My drink was GREAT. My drink was so good it's what's keeping this review out of the garbage can. On the other hand, his old fashioned, while very tasty, was so loaded with ice we ended up having to scoop most of it out lest it become insanely watered down after the first few minutes. I came here for a work related company event. So I had plenty of time to read through the majority of the reviews before I arrived and some things really stood out. On the positive side, they have a very good beer selection (I counted over 50 taps on the wall) and a large outdoor patio featuring 7 flat screens. However, where they really start to lose their stars is with the large number of yelpers who were not at all happy with the service and the food served was sub par. You also may wish to check your tab closely before you leave. One oddity that stood out, was the fact that there was not a single "ownership reply" to any review in eight years. In other words, it appears the management is not at all concerned with all of the negative reviews which could lead to some positive changes. If you're coming here for a company event, I hate to break it to you, but they do not have any separate private party rooms. On the other hand there are some sectioned off areas for larger groups to sit at (first come...) and plenty of seating overall inside and out. Instead of all of us getting separate meals, we just went through a litany of their appetizers which were between the disappointing 2 to 3 star range. They look better than they taste and 1000 island dressing seems to be a favorite ingredient. To add to the lackluster, they give you the smallest sampler plates to use which fill up with unwanted leftovers in no time and just 1 paper napkin. Service was decent, but the dirty plates continued to pile up around us and did not go away until we did. Was given a sample of beer to try, it was a clear milky liquid and upon asking about it the bartender just shrugged. Took a very small sip and immediately realized it was a cleaning solution of sorts. The bartender said he didn't know why, took a small sip himself and proceeded to spit it up into the sink saying that's disgusting. He then walked away laughing to the other bartenders and we didn't get any apologies or follow up beyond that.
