We called them to fix our A/C (replace the coils) that is under warranty and they "fixed" it only to find out a day later that while they "fixed" it they broke the plastic pan and it leaked all on the floor. I had a service contract on my home generator. They just finished a 10 minute annual inspection. I asked to verify that the weekly start up was working and assured it was. Two weeks later I requested a service call as the generator still didn't start automatically. They came out , said all was good but you can't hear it inside the house. It's very loud. Hurricane Irma came, I couldn't activate the generator during 5 days of power outage losing everything in the 2 freezers. I found that the battery cells were completely dry and dead from lack of inspection and water.. The company argued that I was told to replace the batteries after presenting to me a printed e-mail with no date on it claiming I was warned about the battery . The service mgr. became extremely arguementive even when I showed the 2 signed service reports that mentioned nothing about the battery. They finally refunded the contract cost after threatening not to until I brought the battery in. I cancelled all the other contracts with the company. read more

Had my thermostat fixed 14 months ago and the tech said my ductwork needed to be cleaned and a UV light installed to prevent mold. I paid $1,100.00 for the service. Had them back in this week because our unit wasn't cooling and was told we needed a new unit and all new duck work due to mold? Talked to Jason (the Boss) and he was no help at all. I have had multiple issues with my business accounts they service too. Oh well. When they were a small company they were good, Bigger isn't better. read more

Total frustration and lack of accountability with FPL services. Purchased an expensive AC recommended and installed by FPL. Not quite a lemon but definitely a lime and worse yet they have not stood by their services. AC went out last Thursday (so five days) thermostat issues. Tech was supposed to get new thermo and install Thursday pm, never showed up. Same story Friday but we had him return to at least get the ac to hard start so we had some air. This time he fried a computer board by crossing wires! Basically, left the house saying call a manager and that FPL cannot continue to come and repair as they are not making any money! What the heck we pay $500 a year to be a platinum customer to ensure this doesn't happen. Fast forward five days of sleeping on the floor for some cool space and their customer service cannot give us a date on when parts will be installed worse yet they have not stood by their work and the pledge all of which we have paid for, listen too and trusted as experts. Poor service in every regard which is tough to say as the customer service folks are really nice. read more

DO NOT USE THEM!! The issues started at the very beginning for us. We were talked into buying a carrrier ac which cost us over $6k. Upon installation, the machine was extremely loud and our fpl bill increased. We were told oh well it's summer and this is a bigger machine. The house was taking forever to get cool. By this time 3 people had been out on numerous occasions all to be given the same lip service. It's summer, more powerful machine. The inspection was not done for over 7 months all to find out that there were multiple issues including that our ac was leaking air into our attic. No one did a thing to compensate us for this or make it right. Now today I get a call asking if I wanted to purchase a maintenance plan with them as it's needed to maintain the 10 year warranty of the carrier. My neighbor had the same brand new carrier installed just before we did and they have had multiple issues as well. Do yourself a favor and call someone else who will make sure everything is done properly and won't rip you off. read more

When I was not happy with the price of the quote, the representative told me he was coming to do the job whether I liked it or not and that I could not cancel. I was told they would install a new drain line when I purchased a completely new system at nearly $9k. They did not. In the 10 days since the new system has been installed I have had to call them 2 times to clear the old line because the system stopped running. We purchased a brand new York 15.25 SEER 5 Ton air-conditioning outdoor and indoor system on January 27, 2020. After less than 5 months the thing failed. We called today June 23, 2020 to explain to a representative named Rosa that we had no a/c. First when we called Rosa was speaking personal family business and failed to notice we were on the line. Finally we got her attention. We explained the situation but she showed very little concern for our family living in a hot house about 99 degrees. She didn't seem to give a dam when we explained that our daughter had serious continually seizures and living in hot house could be detrimental to her health. We asked to speak to someone above her but she wouldn't give us the time of day. The best Rosa could do was schedule a technician for Thursday at 8 am. That means Tuesday and Wednesday night no a/c, no sleep. What kind of an inferior York a/c system did we buy that it failed in less than 5 months. My advise is don't spend $7,000 with Jupiter-Tequesta A/C company. The units they sell are inferior and their customer service stinks. Hope we can live 2 nights without air. You would think considering the a/c is less than 5 months old it wouldn't fail and the company would send a technician out immediately not 2 days later. I have mixed feelings (their service was efficient) now regarding their 'Diagnostic fee $89'. My A/C suddenly stopped cooling so I called to get an estimate on what the issue might be? Freon/Faulty unit etc... my appt was from 3-5pm, the tech arrived 3:30pm and made it's Diagnostic, as per him nothing found A/C running fine (poss loose wire) whatever that means. So I paid the $89, next I arrive from my office @ 5pm to find the house warm. I call back a 2nd time and they send another tech who finds the issue/s (faulty capacitor/seizing fan) Here is my disappointment - since I had to call a 2nd time in a matter of hours from the 1st diagnostic- wouldn't it make perfect business sense to the consumer to include $89 to the repair bill $666 which I authorized into the final amount? I'm just saying - where's the customer service in all of this? I called to express my discontent and all I got was 'so sorry' the fee is standard. Please note I was contemplating joining there membership program until this billing issue occurred. Only 1 star because you have to give something to post a review. For a year and a half, I have paid for a higher level service contract that guarantees me same day service for electrical and plumbing. Since their partnership with FPL, I have needed service 4 times (2 electrical, 2 plumbing). On none of these occasions have I been provided with the same day service for which I pay. Their excuse is that they are "trying to build a better company for their customers" by having their technicians retrained by FPL. Needless to say, they have never offered to refund the difference between a standard service contract and the price of the one I have that allegedly guarantees same day service. The most recent electrical appointment I made - which is to finish work they started - is in more than 3 weeks. I will be finding another company to complete the work and cancelling my contracts. DO NOT USE. The partnership with FPL has ruined the customer service of this company. read more

JT installed (charged me) for a motor and said I needed a surge protector which they also installed at considerable cost. AC stopped working 14 months afterwards. I called them noting motor wasn't running. $89.00 later they said I need a new motor cost of $1700.00. Are you kidding me!!!! My AC ran 5 years without any problem before they got involved. I sent the serviceman packing with him knowing I was not amused at cost and the wealth of information he provided for $89.00. I already know the motor wasn't working. By the problem, motor is "NOT" the problem. It is an electrical control module mounted outside the motor. One call later I have a new repair service who quoted less than 1/2 the JT cost and explained to me what was happening "on the Phone"! Today I received an application from JT that I could buy a gold plan. It should be a "red" plan based on what I am seeing. New serviceman came next day and fixed the problem permanently. Very Dissappointing. Had Jupiter Tequesta come out to see why my AC was not working. I had to go to work so I arranged a window of 3p-5p when a 10a-noon window was available. I received a call from Tim (the tech) at 1pm telling me that he was "here". I informed him that our window was from 3p-5p and I was not available yet. He stated, "well I'm here now". I told him where he could find the compressor and blower and that he could take a look now and I would try to leave early. 45 Minutes later Tim calls me, says, "I got it up and running but you really need a new one". Ok I say. "What's a new one run?" "$6200, $6400, or $8200" depending on which one you get and which efficiency you want but today's service is free if you buy one." he says... Then I ask, "what do I owe you for today?" "$475" he says. Mind you he has been at the house for 45 minutes...... I say you've been there less than an hour, how do you come to nearly $500?", "Well I had to re-wire the unit and add freon and its's $90 for the service call." Then he went into high pressure on buying a new one. I felt completely uncomfortable with these strong sales tactics. and told him I'd let him know on the new one. He asked who he should collect nearly $500 from and I asked him to bill me. At no point did he get approval for repairs or anything, this was a calculated way to commit me to purchasing a new unit or getting an outrageous fee for the repair. Reading there, mostly positive reviews on Google, I called the owner/manager of the company three times but have not been contacted back. The next few days, I received multiple bids, one from Dana's, one from Air Xperts, and one other (I can't remember the name). A comparable one to the $6,200 one that Jupiter Tequesta tried to get me to buy was spec's by Dana's at about ~$4,700, the one I can't remember ~$3,800 and Air Xperts ~$3600. My AC system was replaced but not by Jupiter Tequesta. They clearly have a huge marketing budget and it's funded by the heavy sales tactics, I'd stay away. read more

2 weeks ago my electricity in my house went dim. We had no A.C. could not cook on the stove, no washing machine etc or operate anything in the house of more than 110v. I called FP&L and when they finally came out they told me that I had to hire an electrician to fix a part that broke inside my electrical box meter (that FP&L put in and had their lock on!) It was already 3:30pm so my husband called Jupiter Tequesta and made an appointment for the next morning for an electrician. He took the morning off from work and waited because they said they would be there between 8am-10am. Once I got home from dropping my kids off I waited. at 10:10am I called their office and they told me they did not have a service call for us! After a few min. the operator asked around and found the operator who took his call from the day before. (They forgot to put us in the computer for a service call!) They told me that they would have someone out to us by 12:00noon. At 11:10am I called to check their status and the operator told me that we would be between 12-2pm. I took that appointment for the time being and called another company and they told me they could not be out until the next day at 9am (they already had their service calls for the day) I made that appointment with another company for the next day. (I figured if Jupiter-Tequesta did not come out when they said they would I would still have secured an appointment with a reliable company) At 12:30 I called Jupiter-Tequesta to get a better idea of time they would be here (I had to pick up my kids and needed to be home when electrician came too.) The operator at Jupiter Tequesta then told me they could not come until between 2pm-5pm. I cancelled the service call with Jupiter-Tequesta, I had to pick my kids up and had an appointment to take them too also. I was never so frusterated ! Especiallly since the error was on their part! The other company I had made an appointment with for the next day, called me back within a half hour and said their electrician wanted to come by and see what was wrong so he knew what he had to do the next morning. When he came out he said we had to also get a permit from the city for the work before FP&L would hook us back up to full power and then he went down to the town and pulled an emergency permit for us. He came back the next morning right at 9am and the part was fixed within 20 min. and he even called FP&L for our full power restore and gave them the permit number for the work. I also had to call them out at am odd hour and they came within a short time, with no charge to me as the plan i have with them caters for this. A couple weeks ago, our water heater began leaking all over the garage. Trying to support the "local" guys, we phoned Jupiter-Tequesta AC, Plumbing, Elec, Inc. I was impressed they sent Tony out quite quickly. As a side note, I have lived in the house for 18 years and know I replaced the tank at some point but couldn't exactly recall when. He looks at the tank and says "hmmm, boy this is really old...put in before '95"...in my mind bells were going off & I'm thinking to myself "no it was put in much more recently than that", but I let him continue with his assessment. He concludes by saying that this & that piping needed to be brought up to code, etc. etc.....scratching his head and says $1100. What! I'm thinking...I know it was about 1/2 that last time...I don't think so. Told him I had to think it over & speak with the hubby....he started with the, well, better let me know in the next 20 minutes so I can get it ordered today, etc. We can do the work tomorrow. I sent him off and thanked him for being "so helpful". I Googled "how much should it cost to replace an x size hot water tank in my zip code"...and bang a site comes up with figures around $500-700 and a suggested plumber. I called them & they also came out within the hour. Takes a look, says he could have it installed the following morning for a total of $650. I almost just said "ok, lets do it" but decided to ask him if he could tell how old the tank was; he said "oh yeah, I have this new app, lets see if it works". He plugs in the serial number and it pops up that it was installed in 2009! It was only 5 years old and has a 6 year warranty! He says, its covered! But still with installation, pick up of the new one in West Palm, still looking at $450 all in. I said "lets do it". Seriously, I could have easily been taken for the $1100 and never been the wiser. All I can say, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to call Jupiter-Tequesta AC, Plumbing & Electric. read more

Wendell, arrived on time, was friendly, courteous, thorough, and very professional. He showed me a problem with the system and took the time to explain my options and answered all my questions. LOCALS AND SNOWBIRDS BEWARE This company is a train wreck. Requested an estimate for a Plumber to install a shower pan. When the Plumber arrived, he didn't even have a pen and paper to write anything down. After being here for over an hour, he went back out to his van to get a pen and pad. Why wouldn't he come in with the pen and pad the first time? After the estimate was given, I made an appointment for the job to be done. The Plumbing Company called and shared that the Plumber would be here November 25th, between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. He arrived at 10:00 a.m. When the Plumber arrived, I was so disappointed that it was the same guy who provided the estimate as this Plumber had lazy written all over him. The Plumber went back into the same bathroom, looked around, and said he had to leave to pick up some material. Now, since it was the same Plumber that gave the estimate and supposedly wrote everything down, shouldn't he have already known the supplies that were needed? Why didn't he come prepared? The Plumber left and did not return for TWO hours. When he finally returned, against my better judgment, I offered him something to eat for lunch. 30 minutes later, after he finished his lunch, he noted that he had to go back to the store as he forgot the drain. How do you forget the drain when that is one of the major components to the job? Once again, he left. This time, he was gone 2 1/2 hours. When he returned, he finally brought his tools in with him. He then had the nerve to say that he had to go to another job. NOTHING was done at this point. Either this plumber was extremely incompetent or during that prior 2 1/2 hour disappearing act, he went to another job. Once the Plumber noted he had to go to anther job, my wife drove to the office in Tequesta, Florida and spoke with a Manager, Jason. My wife explained the situation. Jason was surprised to hear that the Plumber left twice for long periods of time. He was equally surprised to hear that he did not come prepared with all the supplies as that is the very reason they send the same Plumber that gives the estimate (according to Jason). Jason also shared that they would send another Plumber to assist. Guess what? No other Plumber showed up to help. This was all a charade. Now, the Plumber needed to shut off the water so he can finally start the job. He didn't even know how to do that. He complained about everything but did nothing. Shortly after, he approached my wife and said he had ANOTHER job and that he would be back in an hour. This was the third time he left. He left and returned about 1 1/2 later, had some pie, and then went back into the bathroom. Minutes later, he called us into the bathroom, saying that there was a problem. He said he had to chip away concrete to install the drain and there would be an additional charge of 200.00. He also stated he couldn't finish the job because he was too tired. It was now 6:30 PM and NOTHING had been done. Tired from what? Coming unprepared? Unable to shutoff the water? Unable to drain the pipes? Tired from going to the store three times? Or tired from going to other jobs when he should have been here doing the job he was contracted to do? He left, said he would return that Friday, November 27th, leaving his tool-bag and vacuum in the middle of the floor. On Thanksgiving day, I went to use the kitchen sink and there was no hot water. I walked over to the hot water heater and found it unplugged. I called the store and asked to speak with Jason. When Jason finally called me back, I shared the events, step by step how NOTHING was done. I told Jason, I didn't want this guy back and that his tools would be outside the front door for him to pick up on Friday. In summary, this Plumber was incompetent and going to other jobs by his own admission. This company had the highest estimates of anyone in town, the most incompetent plumber I have ever encountered, and would NEVER recommend this company - not even to turn on a garden hose. You would think that since Jupiter-Tequesta Plumbing had the highest estimate in town, the work would be done in a professional and timely manner - not so and never again. read more

Listen, these guys get an A on personality and professionalism. I bought 2 Daikin units based on their recommendations. In the beginning the installation and process seemed pretty good. Then my problems started. One unit stopped cooling and I was told that I needed a new line set because my original was leaking freon (piping from outside unit to indoor unit). I my case this was had two stories away. Not included in job estimate. $1000 and 3 months later, not cooling again. So now I'm into this job $13,000. They added coolant and advised to wait to see what happens and if stops cooling again will do a special test requiring shutting the unit down for 3 days. Test results showed the leak was in the coil in the inside air handler..."warranty item" not the line set I paid $1k for. ughh Now I'm advised part not in stock so I waited several days for part from Texas but they did put it in quickly. While this analysis was goin on, their rep realized installers had " too many line bends in this unit which would cause problems down the road. So he rectified it. Shortly after, their electrician looks at the job and tells his supervisor that the electrical work they performed was not up to code. Supervisor instructed tech to fix it at no charge. great but fix required replacement of two new circuit breaker. Only one on the truck. I run to Home Depot for the other. They don't have any. Job left up to me responsible for buying and installing the new code required circuit breaker. God knows the condition what the other unit was left in. Other concerns...I was called to schedule job after job was complete? Left messages for service manager who claims he didn't get them? I don't know call me crazy...give these guys a great rating..personality and professional yes. Ability no! Check out so many other AC guys. They're a dime a dozen all advertising to be something special..pretty trucks, great sales pitch. Low on ability. What's in you're wallet? BTW...did I mention we are Senior citizens? read more

They took my name, address and phone number and said they will call me early on Wednesday and give me a time when they would be over . Never heard a word. I recently had Jupiter Tequesta Plumbing out to my home to resolve a plumbing issue in my bathroom. Just making the appointment was difficult because I was left on hold twice for extended periods and had to hang up and call again later. I was given the name of the 'seasoned' employee who would be coming to complete the repair. On the morning of the scheduled appointment, I called to confirm as I did not receive the confirmation call on the day prior which had been promised. I was told that the same employee identified previously would be coming for my service call. He, however, did not show up but was replaced by two other very young employees. I had no real issues with the technicians but once I received my invoice via email, I noticed that I was charged $99 for a protection plan which I had very specifically declined at the time of service because I am in the process of selling my home and it would be of no value to me. I called Jupiter Tequesta that afternoon, the following day and again on the following Monday requesting the correction and refund of the overpayment. Each time, I was promised a 'Manager' would call me later on the day of the respective call and resolve the matter. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY CALL BACK FROM JUPITER TEQUESTA AND WHEN I CALLED THE FINAL TIME, I WAS TOLD BY THE OPERATOR THAT THE MANAGER AND/OR OWNER WOULD NOT SPEAK WITH ME. After the endless time on hold during each of the calls during which I was subjected to relentless commercials espousing the outstanding customer service, I could not believe what I was hearing. It is not merely the money but the principles involved in the situation. I could not be more disappointed in the customer service I received from this company.--it was abysmal! Heed the warnings and look elsewhere for a company with integrity to perform your a/c and plumbing needs. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the last service visit. I was charged an insanely exorbitant amount ($1,275) for an hour of work and a couple hundred dollars in materials. I reached out to the service tech to get an explanation of the fees, who told me a manager would be calling me. I never heard back from anyone. The charge was outrageous and without explanation. I am also a platinum club member, so the fee could have been even more. I have never felt so ripped off by a vendor. I would never use or recommend your company, and will go out of my way to discredit you with friends and family. This is the first negative review I have ever written about a company. I consider myself pretty easy-going and understanding, but the charge and the subsequent lack of follow up has been a truly horrible experience with a company that has otherwise been very acceptable.
