I decided to give them another try today and ordered the bolognese. Not sure what I received but there was just the tiniest bit of meat and barely any sauce either. So I received a serving of pasta that was dry and void of meat. I also ordered the caprese which had lousy tomatoes that were warm with bits of mozzarella. The entire meal was lousy. The only decent thing was the bread. I will not be giving them a 3rd chance. I think the food must have been the bottom of the barrel and sitting around all day. read more

The food here was so phenomenal, we made it a point to come back a second night in a row! Everything is homemade--the pasta, the desserts, etc and it's bursting with flavor. I was so impressed with the build your own pasta (I really loved the saffron fettucine option!) and the frozen sorbet in-fruit. The peach sorbet in a frozen peach and coconut sorbet in the frozen coconut husk was delicious. My husband had the Bolognese and that was so flavorful too. I wish I could fly this food home just so I could eat it more often. I will definitely be visiting next time we're in town. read more

The beet and Gorgonzola pasta was beyond wonderful and so was the panini we shared... along with a cáptese salad. The only complaint was that 3 of us shared those items and left the table hungry because everything was small compared to portions at other establishments. Considering the rave reviews for this place I was surprised at how underwhelming this restaurant actually was. First, the service was... I don't even know where to start honestly. I normally don't even notice how service staff is really dressed most of the time, but these servers were dressed to such an excessively casual manner that it felt weird and unprofessional. Like they had forgotten to change out of their "around the house" clothes or something. The food took forever and our server left our table alone for like 20 minutes at one point. The pasta dishes we ordered were good, but not great. I ordered the pesto pasta, which was probably the most bland pesto sauce I've ever had. The pasta did not taste particularity fresh, but I admit that's subjective and I might be wrong about that. For such an allegedly authentic Italian restaurant though, they admitted none of the deserts (other than "a couple" which were "sometimes" available but not available when I went) were actually homemade, instead they were "imported" deserts. I ordered this peach gelato which was supposed to be served in a peach and it was basically frozen solid so much that it was almost inedible. Interestingly, the antipasti dish we ordered was probably the best part of the meal with some delicious thin-sliced prosciutto and other meats and cheeses. Honestly, when it comes to Italian food you can almost certainly do better than this. read more

Frali saved my friend and I. We had just gotten off the bus across the street when we got stuck in a torential downpour. We were both totally soaked. We ran to frali's because it was closest and they let us come in (even though we were totally ridiculous and dripping wet). We ordered some dessert to wait out the storm. Their desserts are awesome!
