Wish i read the reviews here first, everyone agreed with me that while the Fettuccine Alfredo is a large serving size, but there was no cheese in the sauce so it was flavorless. Served too hot eat. It was crowded for dinner, but there was a loud buzzing noise in restaurant, and the a/c was on when it's 59 outside. I was given a wet straw in paper and my side plate had black marks that my finger could wipe off. Water comes in these cheap tall plastic glasses you'd get at some chain restaurant. Well my family came here for dinner to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday. Small restaurant, tight seating. Table were out together to accommodate the size of our party. Some of the tables which were together were uneven, so when one family member put her drink down it fell over. Service was good, our waitress was polite and nice. Now the food, very disappointing. Not much flavor to be Italian food. My ziti and sausage were okay. My hubby's Chicken Marsala was water, more like a soup with pasta, no flavor. This is the best place for mac and cheese. My two daughters could not stop raving about it. The atmosphere felt like a classic, old Savannah restaurant in the best way. The chandelier made from wine bottles really stood out and added a lot of character. There's only one restroom shared by men and women, but considering how old the restaurant is, that was understandable. Inside, you can clearly feel the cozy, authentic Italian restaurant vibe. The server was friendly and attentive. Many of the guests were tourists like us, and the staff seemed to make an effort to provide quick and efficient service. I didn't try the mac and cheese myself, but my daughters absolutely loved it. I ordered a dish with fettuccine, and while it looks very simple, the flavor was excellent. I have been going to Corleone's in Savannah for about 13 or 14 years a couple to 3 times a year, when we come from Warner Robins. It was vacation week this past week and we took the detour off 95, before 16 to stop off and eat on July 4th at about 2 in the afternoon. I must say the quality of food and service left a lot to be desired. I always get spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. The meal was lukewarm and the sausage was overcooked, almost burnt! Son had to send his back because it was cooked all the way in the middle. The bread they used to have has been done away with, , and the buttery bun slices are terrible. There were 3 tables and we waited for drinks, during our meal. In my opinion, I do not mind spending 150 dollars for this kind of meal, and have many times in the past. I've been wanting to try Corleone's for a few years since I first came to Savannah. Finally, tonight I had my chance. Our server was so sweet and attentive to our needs. We were seated at the top of the ramp into the main dining area so a bit like sitting in the walkway, but we made do. When the bread sticks came I thought "wow" no fresh baked bread? We discovered after a taste that the oil on the table must have been rancid because it didn't taste right - we tried the bread without the oil and it was ok on its own. I ordered lasagna with meat sauce and my sister the muscles in a garlic broth. Both were good. All in all it was just average, nothing really special. The prices are very reasonable. Very busy place! Our group of four ordered diverse meals and everyone enjoyed them. However, my meal of a Marguerite flatbread pizza had to be redone because onions were placed in it even though I specified I was allergic to them. The waiter did apologize. My daughter was craving Italian and so We picked this restaurant after reading some of the reviews. Although some were not favorable, my daughter talked me into giving it a chance. It did not disappoint. The restaurant fits well with the area as it has a nostalgic feel to it. The server was attentive and friendly. The food was very good, but FYI the portions are pretty big. Place is small and it does get busy. We had reservations for 7 pm but didn't get seated until 7:20 which wasnt a big deal because the place was packed. The seating is kind of tight. We sat a table with a long bench and a chair on the other side. Decor was nice I liked the chandelier made of beer bottles.Wverything was good until we got our food. My wife ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken I Frutti Di Mare. Portion was a nice size but it lacked flavor. There was no seasoning whatsoever. Everything was bland. It what so. Land that I had to use salt which I don't usually use because I like to taste the seasoning of the food. They charged us an extra $5 for chicken that looked and tasted like it came from a Campbell's chicken noodle can (they were bigger chunks though). For that price it should have been grilled like every other place we have been to. We had to pay for the bread. Overall the place is alright if you don't mind bland food. Will I be back? First I have to say moving to Georgia from Ny, you have to be conscious that there is no comparing the foods. It's just not the same and you have to come with an open mind. I ordered calamari which was surprisingly good . Tender and not chewy which again gave me hope for my entree. My husband ordered a spanakopita which we were hoping would have came with the calamari but‍. That took forever and was not great and seemed frozen from a box/ maybe outsourced. It's a Greek dish so not expecting much from an Italian spot. I and my dad ordered a lasagna and my husband the veil Parmesan. The marinara sauce with the calamari wasn't bad so I was thinking our food shouldn't be too bad. Our lasagnas were lacking flavor and my dads was burnt, you can tell they were put under the broiler. My husbands veal Parmesan was so dry it got stuck in his chest (no lie). When we arrived home the WHITE THRONE was his best friend. I'm talking so much sugar that I had to smack my gums together to get the taste out of my mouth. - Chicken parm was hockey pucks. Really small chickens. - Cheese tasted very elastic like. - Fried cheese was only 75% breaded. - I had a reservation at 6:00 PM and was sat in a busy hallway in a really small table. One of my big restaurant pet peeves is having a reservation a month in advance and getting stuck with one of the worst tables. Yeah not a lot going on here. This place stays impressively busy and that's a head-scratcher to me. My wife had Tortellini and she said it tasted frozen. My chicken on my chicken parm tasted fine, it's just the sauce was a killer. That is hands down the sweetest marinara I've ever had in my life. Off-puttingly sweet. I'm a person that cleans their plate and I couldn't finish the pasta. Would I recommend this place? Abosolutely not.
