We just moved here from Fl a month ago. Was excited to try this place because it looked so pretty outside. We had numerous issues first off my husbands food came out with my sons plate, his kids spaghetti was watery and came out just like a mess on a plate. Second I didn't get my food until after my husband was done eating as well as my daughter who ordered a pizza. Then my chicken Alfredo to go order comes before my dinner came, once my chicken Alfredo dinner finally came it was cold with no chicken. I told the waitress to just forget about the food because I was already waiting so long to eat, thank goodness my daughter got a pizza or I wouldn't of had dinner at all. I rarely complain or review but this was very upsetting since it was the first time we went out to dinner since getting here. On top of that we checked my other daughters Togo order and it was cold with no chicken as well. Very disappointed! read more

To say this experience was awful is an understatement. My party of 7 did not receive our food for 35 minutes in an empty restaurant, except for me of course. I got nothing and the waitress, who was horrid, walked away without saying anything. She finally returned and informed me she would check on my meal. It arrived about 10 minutes later and was terrible. Based on what I received, you'd have thought I ordered the chicken alfredo soup. Of course I didn't, and it was just a terribly prepared meal, as they clearly forgot to make it so threw some garbage together. The atmosphere at Fralo's is great. The outside patio is well lit, there is music, and it is dog friendly. I always have a good time when I come during off hours. However, when the tables are full, the kitchen and staff cannot keep up with the dining experience. You can easily wait 45 to 60 minutes to get your pizza. It's been that way for years and must be due to a small kitchen. Again, a great place for a pie when the tables are quiet. read more

This makes me sad to update this review, but it needs to be done. We went last night with friends from out of town. We had taken them to Fralo's a couple of years previous, and they loved it. We arrived at 6:15 on Thursday. It was busy, but not full. We were immediately seated, and we had a party of 10. We ordered drinks, and it took our server about 20 minutes to come back with drinks, and take our order. We cane there initially because my son has food allergies, and the quinoa crust is both delicious, and safe for him to eat. We were informed that they were out of quinoa crust. I inquired about the presence of eggs in the regular gluten free crust, and was told there were no eggs, so we went ahead and ordered 5 pizzas for our group plus a salad. Server came back 10 minutes later, and said oops it has eggs. So the allergy kid who we came for couldn't eat anything on the menu. We went ahead and continued to wait for the rest of the pizza for the rest of our party. I called the sushi place around the corner, placed an order, drive over to pick it up, and came back to Fralo's. Still no pizza for the rest of us. Plus no drink refills or salad either. We ended up getting our pizza about an hour and 20 minutes after we sat down. It was delicious as always. It is the reason for the 2 stars. Never did get salad. I ended up having to chase down the server for our bills, and had him send over the manager. The manager was very kind, but offered mostly excuses...we're very busy, and it's spring break, I'll talk to the server, etc. I actually felt very blown off by the manager. I'm aware it's spring break. It's been on the calendar for months. Plan ahead with staffing. There just isn't any excuse for ignoring patrons at a restaurant. Also, we had 8 kids with us, and at no time were we ever given a heads up that our food would take an hour and 20 minutes. Ever wait for pizza with 8 starving kids?! I told the manager they Fralo's is too expensive for this kind of experience. Even if you take into account the comped gf pizza, our tab was well over $100 (plus the cost of the sushi for the kid who ended up not getting to eat pizza). We have always come here for our celebrations, but I will really have to think about if it's worth the money after this fiasco. read more

Fantastic Pizza joint! Extremely cozy and hospitable inside coupled with a very courteous and well spoken young man who treated us very well, the pizza is delicious, great draft beer selection and wonderful ambiance. Can't go wrong! read more

I've been many places in this country lived in NYC traveled to Italy and I will tell you. Nothing I've ever been to can top Fralo's pizza. The food isn't to expensive, and you're more than welcome to bring you're own wine and beer. The atmosphere is great and the wait staff is incredible. My tab was 51 dollars tonight, but I'd be willing to spend double for the same service and atmosphere, not to mention the manager Michael was very kind, and charismatic. read more

I came here to watch the best up and coming Texas Country Band Jeff Jacobs Band and ended up finding a gem in Fralos. Great outdoor seating and good Pizza. The service was nice. Wow I feel like a second grader writing this on 2 hrs sleep at 6am. Jeff Jacobs Band should be playing Att center but in the meantime plays second Saturday here at Fralos. We don't live very far from Fralo's and it is our go-to whenever we are in a pinch and need a quick dinner. We have never been disappointed. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing and is most importantly very kid-friendly. The service is amazing--I ordered a spaghetti dinner once and when I got home the meatballs were missing. They rushed me a lasagna since they were out of meatballs that day and everyone had a happy full tummy. Small business heroes. read more

WOW THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!! We waited for our food for 1 hour and 20 minutes when we asked what the hold up was they said they were very busy and it would be 5 more minutes 30 minutes later our food still wasn't out. Then they have the nerve to charge us for the drinks we had while we waited for almost 2 hours!!!!!! We will never come here again! And no one even apologized for the incident. So disappointed!!! I've been going there for years! Just today I recommended several friends to go. There were rodents all over the patio getting on the chairs and tables but the service was terrible!! The large pizza we ordered had the wrong toppings and was a smaller size. The server took it back to remake it and they brought us the exact same pizza reheated with the additional toppings it was missing. Not only was the crust hard as a rock but it was still a 12 inch and not a 15 inch. When we told the server it was not a large he denied it and said it was. We asked to speak to the manager which made things way worse. When sharing with him about our experience we were met with defensiveness and attitude. There was no ownership or even an apology. He walked off pissy saying he was going to tell the server as if that would make a difference. Very concerned with cleanliness and how they clearly have challenges with customer service. I usually go Margherita with pizza to sample the essentials. Crust at FAP was flavorless with a texture of frozen pizza to match. Server seemed proud that they could generously spread out ingredients evenly which I will concede, they did. Fresh basil was ample but so weak it couldn't add much. You need to start with good dough with structure to it. You don't have to be certified "Neapolitan" but without good crust, it is just flatbread and I can go to the frozen food section for that. It could be a great place given the location and general friendly attitude, but there is no art here. read more

Frank and Lori serve the best pizza in Texas, but do not miss their chicken alfredo or crispy zucchini and desserts. Where else could you build your own pizza from a half dozen sauces, about a dozen different cheeses, a dozen + different meats including a vegan, and over two dozen different veggies, nuts and fruit? If you're a weenie, you can even eat inside where it's air conditioned! The one star: they have gluten free offerings and the wait staff is well educated on what items on the menu are off limits for celiacs (no wheat or wheat derived ingredients like thickeners/binders and such). The waitress even stopped me from ordering chicken on my pizza b/c the chicken they use has gluten in it. (NEVER happened at a restaurant before..Thanks!!!). Had I eaten the chicken I would have been seriously ill. I was very happy about this at the time. Now, as for the lack of five stars?: It took almost 2 HOURS to get the pizzas!!!! They were cold by the time they arrived at our table. And for this wonderful experience we spent 75 bucks for a large and a small, not including drinks. WTF??? Its just pizza!! Believe me I will spend 50 bucks on a good steak but there is no way in hell all of the ingredients combined could cost them more than 10 bucks a pizza. Its not even organic!! And.....I DID get sick the next day. As did my husband (who had the regular ol' sampler pizza and a couple of beers. He is not Celiac and never, ever!! gets sick!!) So, the gist is, we went out to have a $75 pizza dinner, in the middle of nowhere to listen to a 15 year old whine on a microphone only to get sick the next day. I just happend to drive by one night not sure what it was. I stoped with my kids and we ordered a pizza, salad and soup. The tortilla soup was awsome and the pizza was so delicous. There are so many topping, sauces, cheeses to choose from. We injoyed the atmosphere and the music. The staff is very friendly. We are so glad we stopped by that night. We have been back many times since. I have brought other friends with me and the love it so much. It is great for family and friends. Love it that you can eat outdoors or enjoy the indoor seating. Lots of beers to choose from. I love the idea that it is BYOB. Great ideas for partys or get together. I highly recommend this to everyoen. read more

i have been going to fralo's for several years now and have never written a review until now. I have seen other reviews and they simply aren't true. the prices are spot on for the quality of pizza and by quality...I mean EXCELLENT. i've had pizza from a bunch of other places and they dont even compare to fralo's. they are hands down the best i've ever had. the salads are amazing and always fresh, like all their ingredients. what i really love is the fact that they cater to vegans, as i'm "usually" vegan. I have had quite a few different pizzas from there and they have yet to dissapoint. a review claimed the outside tables needed a tablecloth or something....i disagree. i like the wooden tables. it gives it a very nice hill country vibe. kinda like your sitting next to a lake or river. the recently re-did the bathrooms outside and they are much bigger than before. I've met the owners before and they are down right great people. they have always been nice to anyone that i have taken there and whenever i've seen someone with a concern...they are right on top of it and extremely accommodating. please people dont be fooled by these other reviews...do yourself a favor and check it out. on a nice evening, you wont be disappointed. great food...great environment...great music...great people. what more can you ask for? read more

Fun and delish! You must go! My husband and I dared to brave the Saturday evening crowd with our ten month old baby and it was so worth it. Our stand by is Miss Ellie's Pizza and I never in a million years thought I'd convince my husband to leave the house rather than call for delivery, much less drive across town! When he announced that we must return to Fralo's again I knew there was something special about the place The atmosphere was great - very relaxed. The service was perfect; everyone we encountered was quite friendly. We aren't pizza experts by any means, but over the years we've learned that there's more to life than Pizza Hut. I went basic with cheese and kalamata olives (delish!) My husband chose duck sausage and gobbled it all up before I could ask for a slice. Tried this place again for the first in a good while since moving back to the area. Received a warm greeting from the manager. The weight staff was attentive and personable. There was a young man on acoustic that added a great touch to the evening and helped keep our 14 month old musical son entertained. We ordered the pizza sampler and it was all very good. Proportions were generous for the quality. The ambience was perfect for families and friend get togethers. A local place. Hope the formula stays the same for a long while. It's clearly working.
