I absolutely love Franco's. This is my go-to for comfort food. During this depressing times, their food always cheers me up. This place, in my opinion, offers the best pizza/wings combination in WNY. In the past I have had to actually order my pizza from one place and the wings from another for the same dinner. Silly, right? Yes, but just b/c a place has good pizza doesn't mean the wings are good too. Unless you order from Franco's. They even offer a 5 piece wing order for those of us who are ordering just for ourselves. Franco's is one of Buffalo classic pizza places, like Bocce's. I've been ordering from Franco's for a number of years. During my undergraduate, I would have pizza every Friday from a different place. Franco's was my favourite. If you want pizza and like meat, then you *must* try the Old World Pizza. The crust is basically a garlic bread. It's coated in a sweet garlic sauce. Then slices of pepperoni are placed on top of the sauce. And finally, cheese covers the pepperoni and sauce. A final hint of sauce and spices. The key is the pepperoni below the cheese! Hey, I've got a favorite local pizza place but sometimes you just feel like trying something different. Tonight I tried Franco's, primarily because I was intrigued by their "Old World Pizza". What I got was a thick, chewy slice with great tomato and garlic flavors (nothing sweet about this sauce) with a nice salty parmesan cheese and just the right amount of pepperoni. I managed to scarf down three square pieces before stopping myself. The hot wings I ordered were fine, but not amazing. I prefer mine a little crispier, and these had kinda soggy skin. The "hot" was just right though...hot enough to be interesting, not so hot you burn your lips off. I'd order from them again (at least the pizza) although I learned my lesson: take the extra few minutes for carry-out instead of delivery. Franco's is probably our favorite Buffalo-chain pizza place. We've ordered pick-up take-out from this Franco's location several times. It's always hot and ready to go at the time they say it will be ready for pick-up. And the food is always consistently well done. We usually stick with a cheese and pepperoni pie, and a mix of BBQ and hot wings. The pizza is doughy, cheesy, saucy, with charred pepperoni grease cups, all of the things that we like in a hearty Buffalo pizza. The wings are flavored well, sizable and saucy. I like the variety of potato wedges on the menu too; the BBQ is my favorite. We've moved, so this Franco's isn't the closest one to us anymore. But we'll give our new closest Franco's a try someday, since this one has been so reliably tasty. read more

Franco's used to be right around the corner from my house and my work so I would stop in there frequently but I don't get there very often anymore. The wife and I shared a slice of Stinger (Steak & Chicken Finger) and Cheese & Pepperoni. The Stinger slice was amazing...totally loaded with tasty toppings. The steak and chicken were equally delicious. Among the best pieces of pizza I've had in Buffalo. The Cheese & Pepperoni slice on the other hand was subpar. Was told driver could not find my house and he did call ( no message left, as I did not hear the phone) Then rude man asked me if I wanted it delivered now, did not ask for directions to my house. I have had regular wings and pizzas from Franco's before, and they were good, but not completely standing out to me to the point of "must have again and again". I had never seriously looked into the specialty pizzas or the special wing sauces however, for reasons. Well, last night my husband jokingly requested for a taco pizza for tonight's dinner, and just for giggles, I searched for places I could stop by after work that offered taco pizza. Out came Franco's as top of the list. And that's how we ended up with Franco's taco pizza and Korean bbq wings for tonight's dinner. I must say, Franco's taco pizza is amazing. It really tastes like taco in the form of a pizza. Each slice is loaded with toppings and cheese, the edges of the crust just crispy enough for extra texture, and each bite is an explosion of flavors. I'm not much into pizza these days except on rare occasions, and yet tonight I couldn't help stuffing myself. The Korean bbq wings are also quite good. They're a tad spicy, but they're sweet and savory with so much more depth to the flavor than regular Buffalo sauce or bbq sauce. Each wing is juicy and cooked just right (not undercooked or overcooked). Overall, an unexpected, delightful, and delicious surprise. The joys of Franco's pizza only came to me because I;ve now ordered from here for a few work events. I understand why Franco's has a loyal following. First, they deliver, and they KNOW UB. Second, their pizza is freaking delicious. Third, they offer some unique and important options for those with food restrictions. We've ordered gluten free pizza, and vegan pizza. They are decently priced and also super delicious. Get kalamatas on the vegan pizza - SO FLAVORFUL, you don't miss the cheese at all! I have yet to order a pie outside of work, mainly because I don't live close to any of their locations. If you live nearby any of the UB campuses though, make sure you give Franco's a try. I called on a Thursday for a Friday scheduled delivery. I ordered a party pizza, two subs, and two salads. (Not a complicated order). Attached is a photo of how long it took for the employee who took my call to take my order! 21 minutes! Unbelievable and unacceptable. The man put me on hold after each item I ordered. He kept asking me to repeat my order after each item. At the end of the call, no apology or recognition for the length of time it took to take my order. When Friday rolled around, the order came 20 minutes past the scheduled time. It was for a work meeting and timing was important here. I am definitely disappointed. There are too many pizzerias in Buffalo to not be on your A game. The food was good so that it why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. Need to amp up your customer service. read more

After hearing the ads on WGR forever, I finally tried Franco's and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza online which was nice and easy. Ordered, paid and all I had to do was go pick it up. The pizza was quite good. A nice crisp crust, plenty of chicken and a sweet BBQ sauce that really complimented the bacon on top. Had the right address on the receipt but went to three different locations within 2 hours and tried to tell me they had the wrong address so I waited that long, as I'm a former driver and I understand things happen. Asked for no cheese and they put cheese on. Food was cold. Driver was rushing so much that it that the pizza was all mushed up. I got pics to prove. But I dont recommend using Franco's pizza anymore. Ignore any negative reviews. Here's the deal: this pizza (double cheese and pepperoni) is as good as any I've had anywhere in the world. I've traveled a lot and friends here in town ordered out for this for our visit. The crust just right: not too crispy, not doughy, a perfect mix of sauce and toppings. Really, really good. Continuing with my supporting eating local venture during the coronavirus time, I decided to hit up my favorite local pizzeria. We ordered a medium cheese pizza, chicken fingers and fries and an order of mozzarella sticks. The total came to $35. Franco's is expensive but the quality is great They had signs all over that no more than four customers could be in the lobby at a time and they also had a rope that you could not stand in front of to protect the workers. They are definitely taking social distancing seriously. Now onto the good stuff! The pizza is out of this world. The sauce has a special tang to it that I really like. The chicken fingers were HUGE. and I'm glad they were because they cost $14 for five of them with fries. But it was probably five whole chicken breasts. Mozzarella sticks were nice and crispy and came with a nice amount of marinara so I didn't have to worry I'd run out. If you're ever in the Northtown stop at Franco's! read more

I love their pizza when they get it right. They are very inconsistent and half the time they don't cook it like you want it. I order my pizza extra baked every time. It rarely comes that way if I have it delivered. If anything it comes undercooked. I've been told a couple of times by the same driver that they don't deliver to my area, but when you order it online it says they do and none of the other drivers have ever said anything. I gave it 3 stars because the rest of the staff at least is friendly and they do have really good food, but I recommend picking your food up so you can check it is made correctly. read more

I can order on line and be eating pizza in less than an hour. I'll keep going here ! The Chicken Caesar salad is amazing. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and the lettuce Green and fresh. Franco's has long been on my list of the top five best pizzas in Buffalo. Their red sauces and white pizzas are al very tasty, with a thicker, well-baked crust. I recently learned and tweeted that the red sauce is not vegan, and received a reply that the garlic sauce is a vegan alternative. I've had that a few times now, usually with mushrooms, spinach and fresh tomatoes. I just placed a $60 online order for my students for the last class of the semester. Though I neglected to uncheck cheese as a topping, I requested in the order notes that one medium pizza be made vegan. I later received a call and was told the order was out for delivery and there was some confusion as to whether the garlic sauce is vegan. My instructions were read after the order was made and sent out because I left them in the "Delivery Instructions" field. My mistake -- that was pretty clear on the website. The employee did offer to refund the price of the medium, but not to remake and send another. I was disappointed that I wouldn't get to share in the lunch I purchased. But then I got a call back from the General Manager, and they offered to remake and send out a replacement. Perfect! I will remain a loyal customer. read more

I would give the pizza a 4 because we do like the sauce and various crusts and toppings. The BBQ wings get a 2 because they are nothing more than wings slathered in sauce. Prefer the wings to be grilled after the sauce is applied. The reason for my over all rating of 2 is delivery and customer service. Typically we do pick up at the Kenmore Ave location. We decided to do delivery. Tell me why when Kenmore Ave is 1.2 miles away, the site tells us, "our" location is Eggert Rd, 3 plus mikes away?? We ordered pizza and wings at 5:00 online. We knew it would be an hour and actually had to pick the 6:15 slot indicated. At 6:35, received an email saying "pizza is on it's way". At 7:15 we called to location to see what the problem might be and the person tells us, "your order was delivered at 6:28". I tell her no it wasn't, she says again, "your order was delivered at 6:28". I ask to speak to the manager... Joe, says, "don't know why she said that, it's in it's way now". Now we are at 2 1/2 hours of wait time! The order shows at 7:45 and barely an apology from Manager Joe or the delivery guy. We will go back to pick up at Kenmore Ave. location from now on. read more
