I recently had an event and I needed a large order of panzarottis and pizzas with several special requests. Francos got every detail perfect! They delivered on time and all our food was piping hot and fresh. I ordered a vegetable panzerotti that was filled with broccoli, olives, mushrooms, and bell peppers. It was pretty good, though I think my heart truly belongs to the stromboli in the question of which non-pizza, pizza dish to eat. The crust on my panzerotti was probably the crispiest one that I've had. I think I would have preferred it a bit softer. The insides were good, though I could have used more vegetable in the vegetable to cheese ratio (spinach would have been tasty too). They have a parking lot on the side. read more

Franco's used to be located in Westmont (where Treno is currently located) and they had moved to Haddonfield. They now have moved back to Westmont. Welcome home! I have had Pizza from Franco's and I don't think it is very good. However, they do make a very good Panzarotti. (nice and crispy, not too oily). Thing is, I am finding that I don't like Panzarotti's like I used to. (I stopped in last week). I find that I don't like the sauce... I guess I prefer a more darker/richer/flavorful sauce, more like what you would get in a Calzone.... Hey, that is just me, form your own opinion. Prices were reasonable. I think the overhead menu board is a little hard to read (then again, my eyesight is not so good these days). The person at the counter was very friendly. I am on a search for great pizza and have passed this place 100's of time and decided to try as a flyer. It was not a good choice. First the place is tired and not particularly spiffy. My table had a greasy feel to it. The pizza menu was hard to decipher so I opted for their trademark panzerroti and a small side salad. The salad was a nondescript mess and the panzerroti was so disappointing - a pretty grapefruit size of fried dough filled with a glom of orange sauce, some mozzarella and a few scraps of salami. Another reason this place gets a 1 star review. I reluctantly returned because my kids wanted food there. After picking up my food, the girl working the counter looked at my signed receipt and was visibly upset that I did not tip for picking up food. What's up with this? The restaurant never had table service so it is not like anyone working there lost out on tips for table service. Is this the new expectation, tips for driving there and picking up food? Popped into Francos as it looked appealing and after realizing Groundhog festival didn't have anything up and running food wise at advertised start time. We ordered two personal pizzas and a panzarotti. We waited 25 min to see a panzarott which was mine, where a young kid delivered the news that the pizzas were late (no kidding). Then my two kids waited 30 min for one pie, 40 min for the second pizza (10 min after 1dt pie). The second pizza was undercooked. It has several burnt pieces randomly stuck to bottom of pizza slices. Clean the pizza oven much? After complaining to the counter girl, she got the manager, who after hearing my complaint had his own angle of correcting me about the pieces stuck to bottom of pizza not being sulfur as I had described. Nice touch on customer service. This is the same guy who let young kids manage customer service w/ very disappointed and angry customer base. Also, a nice touch. After this exchange, he asked me what I wanted, and I said my money back. He then proceeded to give me it all back. This is the only redeeming fact. We were across the street having water ice from Primos(side note: another home run) and we were visiting some friends of ours while on vacation. She was telling me about some of the shops around the area and she mentioned a place called Franco's directly across the street that serves something called "panzarottis". My curiosity was peaked and being the faithful yelper that I am I quickly yelped it to see if someone had perhaps a photo of this "panzarotti". To my delight, they did. I was further intrigued and I saw that they were closing in 18 mins. We ran across the street and I quickly ordered one pepperoni and cheese panzarotti and one with pepperoni, sweet sausage, onions, mushrooms, and black olives. I forgot to ask for green peppers-just remembered that as I'm typing this review. I didn't bother to look in the bag until I got back to my hotel and OMG I almost fainted. I truly wasn't prepared for what was in the bag. Two HUGE beauties called "panzarottis". I didn't even want to bite into one, that's how pretty they were. Fried perfectly golden brown to perfection. Every choice ingredient was tucked ever so neatly inside. Pure deliciousness. I felt as if I should be hiding in a closet while eating it because I felt so guilty that something so simple could taste so good. A friend of mine used to stop on his way to my house and pick up panzerottis from Franco's for everyone, they were great. Now that Franco's is so close, I can go get them myself. Delicious. You gotta let it cool a little because the filling is lava right when you get it. I've never gotten delivery so I don't know what that's like. But they're friendly, busy, and comfortable. A couple of friends have gotten sandwiches and said they were pretty good. But I stick to panzerottis, no point in straying from what is guaranteed to be excellent. I live in westmont and wanted to visit Franco's for the first time. I placed an order for pick up when I arrived at the time they told me I had to wait for another 40 minutes. When I got home which is less then a mile away my food was Luke warm at best and the order was wrong. the wings were so salty and soggy we couldn't even eat them we had to throw them away. I wanted to give them a second chance so ordered again and I was disappointed again the order was wrong yet again and the cheese steak was skimpy and wasn't very good. Not to mention when I ordered the first time they said they had no pizza's available that's when I should known not to make an order. The staff are definitely very friendly, the place is clean and they r fast. The wings were really good, very flavorful the ranch came in a salad packet so u couldn't dip the wings. The pizza was just ok the sauce tasted like Ragu store bottle sauce. The fries were over cooked so my kids couldn't eat them. The cheese steak sandwich was very dry, not enough cheese and the bread was like rubber. I was glad I walked in and repeated my order, one of the workers went and got the missing fries that wernt in the bag but unfortunately my kids couldn't eat them they were really over cooked. Drove an hour because I heard about these amazing panzarottis. So I guess you can figure how disappointed I couldn't eat one due to my food allergery and a potentially reaction risk. No fault of Franco's. But the gentleman I assumed was the manager immediately agreed to making me a buffalo chicken pizza that they don't even put on the menu. Pizza wasn't my favorite, but heck I showed up at 6:30pm on a busy Friday night with 18 other people and he agreed to accommodate me and my allergery. That alone gets you 5 stars in my book. This place is an institution - The only place to get Panzarottis from - In concept it is deep fried pizza, but in reality it is delicacy unrivaled anywhere else in the pizza world - Francos fries them exactly right, with just the correct amount of crust, cheese and sauce. I stopped by on a Monday for the special where u get each regular panzarotti for $2.75 - there was a 25minute wait at 7pm - the new venue in Westmont trumps the former Haddonfield location in both size and atmosphere truly a phenomenal establishment with a great local food gift found no where else on the planet k, now to go exercise off the carbs! As the saying going goes your first experience determines if this place is a must a again NOT. Went to Franco's for the first time after hearing so, much about the gobbler panzirrati. The website indicates that it closes at 10pm. Arrive about 9:15 where one section of the dine in chairs were being put away. Immediately were told no dining in(puzzle look). Placed our order after questioning why if they closed at 10pm and it was only 9:30 by this time. We were told we can sit and wait for the order but that was it. After getting our order which is a greasy bag with sides, we could not eat those in the car. There were tables outside and we stood there and ate the gibblers while yhe emokyees inside chuckle or laugh at us. A gentleman came outside as we ask if there was a manager he stated Iam the manager. We oriceeded to exokain to him and his reply were " Thise are the owners rule we start cleaning uo at 9:30. Bad choice of words. Where is the customer service? The gratitude of attending to someone who will be paying for a meal. Bad experience with customer service. As for the panzirrati was not able to enjoy it to determine the great taste everyone was talking about. Shame on you in poor customer service. It is sad for me to write this review as I recently just moved into town and was hoping to become a regular at this place. I have been here twice, and my experiences differ quite immensely from one another. My coworker brought me here for lunch back in March when they were running their $2 cheese panzarotti deals. The service was decent, but more importantly, the panzarotti was delicious! I could not stop raving about it in the following months. As I said above, I recently moved into the area, and was out on a bike ride last night around 9:00 p.m. I passed by Franco's and decided to stop into and get some panzarottis to bring home for a snack. Unfortunately my experience was bad enough to prompt me to write this review... There was a young blonde girl working at the counter, who immediately shot me the dirtiest of all dirty looks as I stepped up to the counter to order. I get it- you close at 10:00 p.m, - and it is 9:15. Having worked in the restaurant business before, I can see how it is frustrating when customers come in towards the end of your shift. That is why I avoid going to places RIGHT before they close, not almost an hour before they do. That being said, I felt the stare-down on her part was a bit dramatic and unnecessary. I ordered 2 panzarottis- one BBQ chicken (6$) and one cheese ($4) , 3 small bags of chips (each $1) and a water bottle ($1.50). I handed her my card to swipe, and AFTER she swiped it she told me my total came to $36.00. Shocked at the high price, I asked her how it was that much. She was clearly annoyed that I would even THINK to question her, but as she went through the price of each item she realized she had over charged me. Another young girl then came from the back to try and rectify the situation. The two of them then proceeded to argue for 5 minutes about how to get the money back on my card and void the bill. If that wasn't bad enough, the other workers began to laugh and whisper amongst themselves, looking straight at me as if I was a horrible person for questioning the incorrect amount in the first place. Finally, someone came over and voided my bill. I then waited 6 long, uncomfortable minutes for my panzarottis to cook, all the while the workers continued to roll their eyes at me and laugh and whisper. I think the thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the attitudes from the workers- especially the young girl who messed up my order. NO ONE IS PERFECT! I have messed up that type of thing plenty of times in my life- but I've always been sincerely apologetic toward the customer. The girl did not even apologize for her mistake. The only apology I got during the entire ordeal was from the other young girl. She did take $1.00 off my order- that is the only reason I gave 2 stars. To make matter worse, I got home to eat my panzarotti, and it was completely flavorless! Definitely not as good as I remembered it being. And definitely not good enough to make me want to come back here and deal with rude employees. read more

Pickup and delivery orders BEWARE!!!!!!! I ordered a panzarotti and a salad and when the delivery driver handed me the bags the food fell through the bottom and to the ground in the parking lot. The delivery driver from delivery dash looked at me like it wasn't his fault And drove away. When I called the restaurant to ask for a replacement the manager told me it was not his fault And hung up on me after having me wait on hold for 10 minutes. I was in tears by now as I have never been treated so badly. They use one paper bag for a greasy pizza item and one thin paper bag for a heavy salad and they want to say it's not there fault???? They can't spend a few more dollars on a plastic bag?? Nor could he even apologize for the problem... if this is how I was treated for a little problem just imagine what could happen to you for any problem!!!! The Panzarotti is a great concept, but the sauce they use is of poor quality. I feel with a better sauce, people would line up to try one.

Food here is good. Hard to get slices here when im on the go i like a slice but they seem to be all out. I may be going at the wrong times but a pizza place with hard to get slices is disappointing. The cheesesteaks , pork, sharp provolone rabe ,panzarotties are all good. There is a bit of a waiting here for your food once in a while and they do mess up an order once in a while like every other place when things get super busy. Nobodys perfect. They need to fix a few things and this place could be really good and not just ok. I have hope in the kind staff that seem to be frustrated at times which is a good thing because it shows they care and are trying to get better and are genuinely doing the best they can and improving. Its obvious they are trying hard to make things work .I see this place eventually becoming a really good place. Just improve the quality of some of the sandwiches get a little creative like an option for a seeded roll for the pork rabe and sharp prove which woulda been great with this small tweek. Little things that show your trying to improve the taste and putting some love and pride into your sandwiches will go a long way. The staff is good but may need one new rock star addition who comes with alot of experience to fill in the gaps and cut down on the common mistakes that come with filling orders sometimes and to get orders out a bit quicker. The effort is there a bit of tweeking and this place could take off . Location is prime the staff is kind the management cares and is trying hard. We ordered food last night 11-9-13. The girl answering the phone tells us the food will be 45 minutes to 1 hour. OK they must be busy on a Saturday night. 1 hour and 15 minutes later I call back. They tell me the food is on the way. OK 20 minutes later my wife calls back and asked for a manager. They are not sure who the manager is. So a guy named Eric gets on the phone he is clueless. Very long story short 1 hour and 45 minutes later we get the food. The panzarotti's were good. The wings are absolutely terrible !! They were undercooked and very soggy. Food is good, but Untrustworthy at the cash register. They will cheat you out of money. Look at the kind of receipt they use. Doesn't list how much you gave them, or what you get back, just states what is owed and if it was paid. I personally always loved the panzarottis and thought the cheese fries were delicious my husband thought his was good but that other places were better. They have one of the fancy new Coke machine which was a perk as those machine offer the freshest soda and tons of drink options. Definite downside was that the silverware wasn't very clean and I went to grab a Parmesan and it looked like the shaker hadn't been cleaned in a while and the cheese was all clumped together. read more
