Beautiful place, good service, but was disappointed in some of the food. We also didn't realize the larger dinner menu isn't until after 4pm and they also don't offer bread and dippy oil until then too, from the Yelp reviews that was part of why we picked this place to eat. We did ask and she brought it out, which was nice. The flatbread was horrible, thick and soggy.... I am used to a fresh crispy flat bread. We will have to try it again in a couple months. read more

The waiter Ed was fantastic, the appetizers were excellent, but the short rib pappardelle was a lot of fat and gristle, the pappardelle was not al dente. The Chicken Parm was good and crispy, but the pasta was not al dente and the Parmesan cheese sauce was like paste. The atmosphere is great, but the overall menu should be a lot better for such a beautiful place. I wish they had fresh calamari rings for appetizers, lightly coated. read more

Food was amazing! We started with the truffle fries, followed by the chicken Parmesan entree with a side order of green beans and the filet entree with asparagus and whipped potatoes. I have not had a steak that mouth watering in ages. All the flavors were on point. On a Friday night, the place was packed, full of laughter and great lighting. A bit loud for an intimate evening, but if you are looking for somewhere that is a good place to celebrate, this is it! Sorry, I didn't get any photos of these dishes. Loved it! The Mediterranean Salmon Salad was absolutely delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly. Layered with flavor and unique. My friend had the short rib papperadelle. Again delicious. And the Truffle Parmesan fries we split for an appetizer was equally delightful. The dark chocolate crème brûlée was sinfully divine. I took the Bacon Gorgonzola Steak salad for my husband and he said the steak was as good as the ones he's had at Morton's. I also took home the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich for my son unbeknownst to me he took off for the weekend. My husband nuked it the next day and it was still crunchy, still full of flavor but not at all dry considering it sat overnight. The only reason I'm not giving it 5-Stars is because the portion sizes could have been a little larger, given the price. But we'll definitely be back! read more

We visited this place with another couple on a Saturday night....with reservations for 4. We were seated on time and without any fuss. The ambience was nicely done and the restaurant itself was newer, clean, and well maintained. The food was delicious and I thought the prices were reasonable. As far as the complaints about the noisiness, it did seem a little loud, but not worse than most other places. Our waitress was attentive and kept our drinks full. We had multiple appetizers for the table, but the Crackin' Shrimp was excellent. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was the linguine with my Crispy Chicken Parmesan was a little over cooked and definitely needed more of the Parmesan Cream sauce. Also I was disappointed with the Parmesan Truffle Fries that are the usual NB Hot Dog Shop fries, which I don't like. That is of course, a person preference and has nothing to do with the quality of the French fries. However, it's a nice restaurant with good food and reasonable prices that we will return to. read more

I've enjoyed going to various restaurants in the location over the years, but Frank G's has opened up the patio so that there is lovely and relaxing view of the river. Had a 7:30pm reservation for 4 people. Arrived at 7:25 and told "the table for you is paying now." Waited for 15min and then went to the bar to grab a drink while waiting. Waited at the bar for 10min without being waited on. Left at 7:55pm after still not being seated. Never once got an update on our table. Instead, the 3 people working the front desk just kept their head down and wouldn't make eye contact with us. We watched a party of 2, who came in after us, get seated at a 4 top after we had been waiting for 20min. Would NOT recommend as service was horrible. read more

I would highly recommend this restaurant not just for a nice dinner but also a nice event. We had a birthday party for my 90 year old dad. The service was wonderful, they accommodated every request that we had. We had buffet service but also needed special meals. And lots of drinks. Frank Gs is a popular restaurant in the area. I went with a large group (9) people. The initial reservation was set for 5:15pm and pushed back by the restaurant to 6pm. We arrived at 5:55pm and had to wait until 6:15pm. They were not very accommodating. The food came out in a timely manner, and the service was very good. However, people living in the area don't seem to mind over cooked noodles. I expected the noodles to be al dente, but the noodles were all clumped together. What could have been an excellent dinner turned out to be so so. Three people at the table ordered the same thing, Crispy Chicken Parmesan. The chicken was great, and the flavor was excellent. It was all about the noodles. They really should have been thrown away. I was really surprised that a classy restaurant like this with great tasting food would throw together crappy noodles. Please have the chef / chefs pay more attention to the details of the noodles. Refine the taste by providing noodles cooked al dente! Overall experience was very good but I can't give it an excellent experience. Frank needs to think Italian when hiring chefs instead of hotdogs! read more

The newly renovated restaurant is a major plus in our area. It was our first time for dinner. I had the crispy shrimp appetizer and loved it so much I ordered it for dinner with a salad. The waitress was very attentive even though we had 8 in our group. The ambience was very lively and happy which made it a little hard to hear everyone at the table. I wasn't bothered by it but some people who struggle with hearing might be. We were told that the acoustics were being addressed by the owner. I definitely recommend to try Frankie Gs.
