My boyfriend got an iced americano the first day and tried a hot golden mylk on the second day. He also enjoyed his drinks! The golden mylk is a perfect cold day drink that will make you feel warm and cozy inside. We also had the chance to try their pastries and got an almond croissant with jelly and a goat cheese and roasted leak scone. Im not the biggest fan of jelly filled pastries, but this one was actually really good. It paired well with the crispy exterior and not too sweet. I really enjoyed it! The goat cheese and roasted leak definitely had complimenting flavors, but it wasn't his favorite scone he has. He wished there was more goat cheese versus it just being on top. When is SLO, I will be back!

There was a short line to wait in before ordering. My family and I got a Bon Bon latte and Abuela's coffee to share with each other. Whilst waiting, we admired the shop which is really cute!! A kind of art deco aesthetic with tables of course. There were some items on sale which appeared to be all local businesses. After a couple of minutes, the drinks were ready to go. They were sooo good. I particularly enjoyed the Bon Bon due to the chocolatey sweetness of the cream on top. Overall, a very successful trip to Buen Día and I'd come back!!

The breakfast burritos here are just that good. I strongly recommend the soyrizo breakfast burrito with avocado. They have the recipe down to perfection. You have to travel 20 minutes out of town for anything that comes close. I will be honest here: they do charge a lot for their breakfast burrito... they know what it's worth, unfortunately, and they're going to charge you for it (and the prime downtown location). They also charge a very high credit card processing fee--it's more than any kickback a credit card rewards program would give back--so if you have cash, use that. It's cheaper. Their coffee is very good. You're splitting hairs here when trying to find better coffee, but if you're looking for the best breakfast burrito in San Luis Obispo, this is it. Should Have Known Better…read more.... I've been to the Nautical Bean on Los Osos Valley Road a few times since my review in March 2026 and each visit earned 4 or 5 stars. Not bad! But I went back on Monday, June 8th and had a very different experience. I ordered 2 small cups of hot chai with extra foam, extra hot and 1/2 sweet. When they were done, both were "heavy" meaning they felt like there was no foam. I checked and yup...no foam. I mentioned it to the barista who said "no problem. I'll do them over". They were done quickly, but still felt "heavy". I didn't want to go back and figured "it's just me". I got into my car and tried one. It was 90% the same as before. She simply scraped a sliver of the drink off the top and added a touch of foam. Plus...the liquid was "thin" meaning she nearly scalded the drink to get it hot. The 2nd chai was the same way. And the shop wasn't even busy at the time. Everyone at the Nautical Bean is friendly and the vibe is great, but next time I'll take my own advice...even if that means going back to the barista twice to get things right.

Having visited the famous Istanbul Bazar several years a go and purchased Turkish lamps for our home, we indeed feel "Right at home"! In the SLO Lokum store. Over the decades we have appreciated the sugary Turkish Delight and baklava treats. It has been both of our late father's favorite deserts and my Dad live in Altayna, Turkiye for a decade so I can appreciate the delicious offerings as after diner offering. Our host was extremely friendly, helpful and generous in our sampling and guidance about our inquiries.
