Instead of doing that, I watched a single youtube video about fridge repair, then bent down to look for the part of the fridge that was making the obviously broken-sounding high pitched whine, then googled its part number and bought a new one for $45. That fixed it, instantly. I didn't even need a screw driver. So their business model, it seems, is to half-ass the repair in order to lock you in, and then they sell you a new one for much more money than you'd pay elsewhere. Wouldn't be surprised if they then refurbish your old one and sell it on the side.

I finally received a text from him after I posted on a neighborhood Facebook page that he had ghosted me. In his text, Alex sent me a photo of a living room that had been severely damaged by a fallen tree. He represented the photo as a current image of his own living room and said he had been rescuing his children, taking them to the hospital and dealing with water damage that created a risk of electrocution. He ended the text by writing: "Yes that's more important than ur fridge." The problem is that this photo actually appears in a news article about a Canton resident whose home was damaged during a severe storm in 2020. Missing an appointment is one thing. Failing to communicate is another. But sending someone a photo that appears to have been taken from a years-old news story in order to explain a missed appointment raises much more serious concerns about credibility and professionalism.
