He was easy to communicate with, incredibly responsive, and made the entire planning process seamless and stress free. The food was outstanding. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the appetizers, which were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The main dishes were cooked to perfection, packed with flavor, and there was plenty for everyone. The desserts were the perfect finishing touch and were just as impressive as everything else they served. Came in when they opened on Wednesday, family/staff were friendly and polite. They had smokers outside for bbq'n. We decided to split the works, came with brisket,ribs,chicken, and smoked sausage, along with 3 sides. We chose mac n chs, onion rings and bbq beans. The Mac n chs was well seasoned which you don't get that often, and not overly cheesy. Brisket was super tender and the ribs had a good smokiness to them. We were given and roll and cornbread. My sister and I came here as we were in the area. We wanted BBQ and this place popped up. We came in and we were the only ones here, then others came about 30 mins later. It is a nice place location is in a very tiny strip mall and parking is also a bit limited. But the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice and quiet. This was my 2nd time visiting Frank's BBQ. The 1st time we went, the resturant was pretty empty. The food was good, the service was good, & the time it took to get our food was good as well. I wish I could say the service was good for the 2nd time. I totally understand when a resturant is m ore crowded, that it would generally take a little longer to get our food, but this was absolutely ridiculous. I only ordered 2 brisket melt sandwiches with sides & I literally waited over an hour! I kept asking how much longer, but they truly didn't seem to care. I paid $46 which is not cheap, & I feel they should have offered some type of compensation, or at least a sincere apology for how long I waited. Not once did anyone come up to me to explain the issue. I literally had to keep walking up to the register to get someone's attention to ask why it was taking so long. Stopped by Frank's BBQ in Upland, CA today and wow... my taste buds are still doing a happy dance! We had it all; brisket, pork ribs, chicken, pulled pork, and sausage (which was on the house) Everything was smoky, tender, and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of love goes into the food here. And let me just say... Frank, the owner, is awesome. Such a warm, welcoming guy who makes you feel right at home. If you're a BBQ lover, you need to put this place on your list. Came in on a Thursday afternoon not real busy , had A Bbq sandwich combo (pulled pork) Mac n cheese n fries . The Mac has its own homemade taste which was good n the fries were average,kinda got soggy on me as I got home which is normal because it's wrapped and got steamed from the parchment n foil . How did we not know about this place for so long?? My son & I had been craving bbq, but didn't know where to go. We just happened to drive by Franks BBQ in Upland, never realized there was a BBQ place there! I read the reviews on Yelp, the food looked legit, so we went the next day. I was a little nervous because no one was eating there and it was still early in the day. My son ordered the works and I ordered the brisket sandwich with Mac n cheese & beans. Ohh my gosh, the food is delicious! My son LOVED all his food, let me tell you he knows good BBQ. We were blown away that is how good the food was. The sweet waitress also let us know they had tamales for sale also. My son ordered a dozen before we left ( half chicken half pork). We had them for breakfast the next day with over easy eggs. The tamales were very good also. My son loved those also! I just don't know if people know about this place. We live in Ontario and never knew about this place. I've heard a lot of glowing reviews about this place but our first and probably only experience left us disappointed. After coming in with the intention of dining in we changed our minds once we noticed the fact that there was no one inside dining on a Saturday at dinner time. We almost left completely but was assured by the worker that most of their business is take out and to give them a chance. We placed an order for what they call "The Works" for $45 with brisket, chicken, pulled pork and sausage along with 3 sides. It's also included a roll and a cornbread muffin. We were told this meal feeds 2 people. Here is where the problem begins, the meat portions were incredibly small. What was advertised as 1/4 chicken was an attached thigh and leg, but together these pieces were less than 5 inches long! The sausage was one piece sliced into 6 bites. The brisket and pulled pork portions didn't even fill a 3/4 cup measuring cup. The 4 meats total didn't cover the bottom of a standard 3 section take out container. The cornbread and roll were cold and dry. The only thing that shined were the sides. The mac and cheese, baked beans and cole slaw were very good. Looking at other pictures on these yelp reviews it seems that this is standard for their meat portions. If you want good bbq with the meat being the star not the side dishes then I suggest trying someplace else. read more

Great food Great service The smoke on all their meat was perfect, not over powering but you could taste it in each bite. Pulled pork was not over cooked or dry it was spot on. Pork ribs were tender and the meat pulled away from the bone easily. The chicken had great flavor and was moist. The brisket had lots of flavor, moist with just a little but of fat. The BBQ sauce was good but you didn't need it. We had three sides Mac and cheese, beans and coleslaw all of them were great. We hired Frank's to handle a 70 person party in our backyard. Can't say enough about these guys. They accommodated our changing requirements over and over again. They came up with great ideas for setting up our yard. They were friendly and professional the whole time. And their food and bar service was fantastic . . . we had ribs, brisket and chicken grilled on site, with beans, cole slaw and scalloped potatoes. I got compliment after compliment about the food and about the service.
