Hello Yelpers, I ordered a grandma pie from Frank's Pizzeria and oh boy was it a hit. I look every bite of it. I made the request online and asked from it to not be overcooked and they implemented my request. The service was prompt and polite. I would highly recommend Franks. You can have dinner inside if you like, I took my pie to go.

Growing up around them and having their food on pizza night is a cherished memory. The pizza continues to be amazing and while I mostly order these grandma pizzas, I do get their calzones, other pizzas with various toppings. I do love how soft their garlic knots are and especially when I get them with sauce and cheese. I'm actually due for another order soon!

BEST NY PIZZA! Frank's pizza is pricey but worth it. From the craftsman ship, to the taste, this pizza tasted just as good as it looks. We had the Gran Mama Pizza and the Focaccia Sicilian style pizza which were both fantastic. Service was fast, and pizza came in perfect condition. I can't wait to try another pizza because I'm certain the others are great as well.

How can i forget about this treasure here? Frank's is a well known staple in the BX for their Grandma's pizza. Let me tell you, I am from Jersey and when I had my first Grandma's slice, I fell in love with the BX. The dough, the sauce, the fresh mozzarella all becomes one and they all compliment each other on a whole nother level. I can literally sit here and eat the entire pie by myself and die happy. There's no other Grandmas pizza made like Frank's. I've also tried their tortellini soup and man. It was so delicious. This is something I will have a heavy craving for during the cold weather. Although the price tag on the soup is around $8 which is pretty hefty, it was delicious and it came with a fresh piece of bread. I believe everything is delicious here but everyone raves about the Grandmas pizza and tortellini soup for a good reason.

I have a love affair with Bronx pizza and this pizzeria won't let me go. Everything down to the tiramisu is delectable. My cons: Meat sauce has cream and they're stingy on the onions and peppers pizza.

A BRONX GEM! I've been coming to franks since I was a little girl. My father grew up in the neighborhood and franks has been a staple of his childhood, and he passed it on to me. Franks is home of the large slice! The pizza is of great taste and obviously size lol. It's probably one of my favorite pizza spots within the 5 boroughs. The price of the large has gone up over the years which is understandable, the large slice is priced at $4. If you are ever in the area definitely pick up a franks slice :)

I first learned of Frank's Pizzeria while dining at Da Franco & Tony's next door - they're owned by the same family (the pizzeria actually came first). I decided to change up my pizza game tonight and grab dinner from them. Their regular pies are quite good - the crust is thin and they incorporate the toppings into the cheese rather than let them sit on top. However, what I believe makes Frank's stand out from other Bronx pizzerias is their grandma pies - think the shape and size of a Sicilian but super super thin. It's crispy, flavorful, and totally out of this world. I've had the regular and spinach and both were amazing - that alone will make me come back again and again. They're in a convenient spot right off the Hutch and the 6 train so it's easy access for me. I would definitely put this in the category of good Bronx pizza.

First time having Franks via delivery on this snowy evening! Nice pizza! Sauce and cheese were generous and fresh and crust was good!! Can't wait to try their other pizza! The soups were good and what the weatherman ordered! Tortellini en broda was fresh tender pasta with a delicious broth! My favorite, lentil soup with pasta was delicious!! We will be back! Me and hubby come here for their heroes. They have a good potato and egg and chicken cutlet hero. We usually take our meals to go. I may have tried other variations of their sandwiches. However those are my top two favorites. read more

Great Neighborhood Pizzeria From the pizza tour diary: My first stop was Frank's Pizza on Middletown Rd. There are lots of kids coming in and out and it looked like an old shop. All good signs. The gran mama slice looked remarkable - but that's easy. Nearly every pizzeria does the grandma well. Sauce and garlic on top of cheese is nearly a guaranteed formula. It's no fun if everybody wins - I don't evaluate the slice. At the plating phase of my regular, they cut the excess cheese off the sides with a pizza cutter. I've never seen that before. It's got a fluffy, cornmeal crust, thin with a tough bottom. The cheese has a hint of sour and biting into it gets slightly juicy. My finger even got burned from a tomato sauce squirt which revealed tomato chunks in there - much appreciated. This is one of the best slices I've had in the Bronx - I was so happy to find it. They aren't as big as a huge Bronx slice, but who cares? 90 percent of those, I will forget with relish. Franks does a great slice, but would I dream of it? Maybe the sauce. I order a simple pie... took over 1 hr & 25 mins... it came ice cold... I called and asked for the manager or whoever was in charge... they could care less... I actually put there delivery driver on the phone... to confirm that the pizza was late & cold. They didn't give a fuck... told me just not to pay for it... I asked about getting another pizza & was told to order from someplace else if I wasn't happy... Fuck you...!!! All I expected was pizza under an hour & hot.. the customer service here is straight trash & I'll never give them my $$$ again... unless u walk in... stay the fuck away from these scumbags...I'd give a zero if I could ... bunch of dickheads read more

Franks is down the block from my apartment and is one of only three pizzerias i trust to eat at in the bronx....this visit...my friend Krista had the Broccoli slice and says it was tasty, and me not being to much of a veggie fan had the chicken calzone to switch things up.... The calzone was ok...just all the cheese and chicken were lodged in the center leaving the a thick perimeter of the calzone being just bread!!! Anyways franks isnt a bad choice if youre passing by! read more

I had a crazy hankering for good pizza last night and so I went on my trusty Yelp app (duh) and this spot close by stood out. The slices were just calling my name and who am I not to answer?!!! I used the Eat24 app to place my order and within a few minutes I received a phone call to confirm my address. Service was polite and VERY quick! I was not expecting my doorbell to ring so soon! Omg the aromas that filled my living room, I wish I could bottle it!! The pizza itself was amazing; hot, cheesy, and garlic goodness! My 2 year old actually ate a full slice all by himself, no begging and no help required! I also had an order of the garlic knots which were also delicious! I can't wait to try the grandma slice, we will definitely be ordering again! read more

Imagine walking with a baby in one arm, a whole pie in the other and then wind picking up so hard that the box flips up, open and pizza all over the sidewalk. That is what happened to me. And the guys at this place were nice enough to replace it at no charge. Really got me in the feels, u know? Immaculate shop with really friendly service. Anyway, I got the much coveted grandma pizza. The crust is thin and my 11 year old and I destroyed it. So don't expect this pizza to feed more than two adults. I will definitely return and try their other pies. read more

I've been here twice. Had chicken parm hero & regular slice. Both were delicious. The chicken parm hero from a life long New Yorker was one of the best I've EVER had. I LOVE this place. My grandmother introduced me to Franks when I was younger. I also introduced Franks to friends and to my boyfriend who lived in manhattan and now lives with me. I used to order meat and the chicken and sausage dishes are amazing. But since turning vegetarian I love there pasta dishes and I love this hero I order just peppers, onions and potatoes. My boyfriend recently ordered chicken Siciliana and enjoyed every bit of it. This place is the kind of place where you want to eat great food but don't want to do all that fancy stuff. read more

I love everything about Frank's. I love the men who work there and I love the service. I have been eating there for 3 years. There foccacia pizza is great for my dairy free diet. I've been coming to Frank's Pizzeria for 14 years. I'm not certain how the other Yelpers experienced any rude service (sometimes people need to reflect on their own verbal dialogue, because the customer is NOT always right)..... Not only are the guys there friendly, they remember what you like to eat. Customer service is a BIG deal to me or you can't get my business. I love their regular slice, grandma pizza and Shrimp Parmesan dinner with baked ziti (my fav!). The food is really good, and I can't wait for their expansion! read more

Whoa! Seriously incredible perfect slice of pizza, just embodies NY completely. I had to rave because it has been too long since I've had that classic experience. I had the spinach slice, the pepperoni roll, and, I believe they call it the gran mama pizza. But the service, unmatched. Those guys are patient and thorough. read more

Great place. Exactly what you would want in a New York pizza shop. If you are in the neighborhood in Pelham Bay in the Bronx then stop by here for some fresh made pizza and Italian style food. The small raviolis just can't swim in my pot! The older gentleman behind the counter asks if he can help me. I ask him to open the box and actually show me the larger ravioli. Oh baby, they are large and in charge. Why I walked out with one box still boggles my mind because I should have bought 3. I'm not in the area too often and the extra boxes would have carried me through the winter. I hand over my cash and the gentleman says God Bless to me. I'm not getting blessings on Long Island! When I came home, my wife made the perfect Sunday dinner. Those raviolis came straight from the 70s. Simply perfect. God Bless us, everyone.

We were greeted kindly by the staff sat down handed a set of dominoes to play with while we waited for our food and drank some water. The place is decorated nicely and you can see the vision in mind definitely. We placed our orders and I'm not gonna lie I came in thinking the food was gonna be eh but I was blown away by the flavors. For drinks we ordered a spicy sunset, pretty young thing and cokes. The pretty young thing was a nice citrusy drink with a little salty aftertaste, which balanced out the flavor nicely. The cokes were not water down they were good as well. For food we ordered the Cuban sandwich with parmesan fries, butter chicken wings, butter chicken macaroni and cheese, steak nachos grande, butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and mom's butter chicken platter. This was a wonderful Spanish and Indian style combination of flavors. Definitely my first time having this type of food and wow what a mind blowing experience. Not one person in the table complained or had anything negative to say about their food. We all tried each other's food and each bite we exchanged to try was delicious and better than the last . The Cuban was delicious but the parmesan fries stole the show from that meal it was paired so lovely who would've thought those flavors would've mixed nicely. The buttery chicken wings oh my God dripping with goodness each bite was legit finger licking good lol. The butter chicken macaroni very very delicious. Had a nice cheese pull and a good balance could not stop eating it. The steak nachos were delicious I wish It had a little more meat, but it was not bad. The butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries also delicious and the fries were cooked so nicely that it was crispy and soft at the same time per bite. The mom's butter chicken platter was delicious they gave the right amount of sauce, the pita bread was delicious and soft, the salad that it was paired with was good too the rice was decently portioned. Everything was definitely tasty. Not one complaint of any of the meals. We did not wait long for the food. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I want to come back to try more things in the menu that's how good the food was and our group agreed to also come back with us. This spot is definitely a place to try. They have a beautiful quote right near the bar that really spoke to us, especially during these times it said "you are exactly where you need to be." It makes you stop for a second and really take it in and just live in the moment ... especially living in New York, where you have to be always go go go fast fast fast. One word to describe the pizza here: amazing. Seriously, the pizzas here are some of the best I've ever had; especially their grandma slice with spinach. It's thin, crisp, and the combination of sauce, cheese, and spinach tastes absolutely perfect. While I usually get the grandma slice with spinach, what's also amazing about this place is its variety. They have multiple different type of pizzas to choose, from pizza with fresh mushrooms to pizza with chicken and so much more!! There's something here for everyone. This pizza place is most well known for their spinach grandma slices but if you want to try something different, I highly recommend their Sicilian focaccia. It's such a contrast from their grandma spinach slice but tastes equally amazing. They also have other options to choose from besides pizza!! When I order pizza from here I also get their garlic knots but they have other foods to choose from as well, like calzones and rolls. Overall, I highly recommend anyone to come to this pizza place. Love Frank's! When I order for take out, I ask for them to make me cavatelli sautéed with spinach and garlic and oil. They make it so good and the portions are great, always have left overs! I even eat it for breakfast that's how good it is and it even tastes great cold! read more
