Hi just someone not from here looking for good New York pizza and 6 wings for a deal so I find there everyday special listed at 25 dollars. I also added an order of penne Al vodka listed on there website at 9.95. THEY CHARGE US 70.54. turns out they accidentally made another cheese pizza and instead of correcting the issue with the credit card they decided to take a pizza pie back and give us back just 20 dollars. Just wanted to share my terrible experience at this place and I'm pretty sure the staff were under the influence of alcohol. read more

I was on my way home and wanted pizza......again. But this time would be different I thought. "Frank's Route 27 Pizza" was recommended by a few friends. What could go wrong? The pizzeria is on the service road and shares its parking lot with a few other businesses. I love how the restaurants banner looks like a highway sign right above the building. Inside the place is beautiful! It's well put together and spacious. I was impressed with the light wooden floors and dark wooden counters and chairs. The two gentlemen behind the counter were friendly with me. They acknowledged me and spoke to me regarding items on the menu. I made my usual picks (buffalo and bacon, chicken slice) and got them to go (I was in a hurry). I also got a mac and cheese ball, I wanted something different. The prep time was quick, they took credit without a limit. I paid and I was out with my meal. In my car I was frustrated they didn't give me any napkins. That means I had to be careful when I ate. I started with the bacon chicken slice. I must say.....I was disappointed. It wasn't the best I've had and didn't leave much joy to my taste buds. The second slice the buffalo was better but not by much. It was thick because it has extra crust. It was crunchy at the bottom, yet still doughy. It would have been better with normal crust. The mac & cheese ball went last. That too left nothing to be desired. It was flavorless and I felt there was no cheese in it. I was rooting for them. They had the makings of a good spot. They only fell short on the most important thing, the food! Does this mean I stop listening to my friends? No, because I would go back. Most my experience there was great. I would try a few more slices than make a final decision. I at least owe the two guys there that much for being so cool. I just hope there's something I enjoy next time. read more

I stopped in here when a friend gave me a coupon for buy 2 heros get 1 free. It's right off RT 27 and easy to get to. I was surprised to find they have great deals all week long, Monday- buy 1 get 1 pasta Tuesday- 2 pies for $20 Wednesday- buy 1 get 1 chicken parm These types of deals can be shocking because cannot be found in Brooklyn or NYC but lurking on the East End is delicious Italian goodness at a great price. The heros (chicken parm, eggplant and Italian sub) were made fresh. I was happy to wait with the Yankees game on the TV. The hot fresh fried cutlets were perfectly satisfying after a long day and I am happy to have leftover sammies for tomorrow. read more

Did you ever have that kind of pizza where you're halfway through your two slices and you are already mourning the fact that you only have one slice left to go? That was this kind of pizza. I stopped here on a whim on my way between two jobs. This unassuming a little pizzeria. First, I have the echo of the other comments about the ownership. Everybody here is extremely polite. Better than that, the food is amazing. My two plain slices were perfect. Just the right thickness of crust which was cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The cheese was plentiful without being overwhelming. The sauce was flavorful without being overbearing. Just the right amount of olive oil to make the whole mix complete. And for only $5.40, the lunch special was a total bargain. Two slices and a small soda. I would have gladly paid two dollars more for pizza this good. My only regret is that I don't live close enough to make this a regular spot. I would in a heartbeat. Amazing. I'll still be back, however. The other specialty slices looks so good I'm going to have to try 'em. read more

This is our new favorite pizza place. The owners ( husband & wife) are very friendly and really helpful when I ask to describe menu items. Besides the great pizza I absolutely love the stuffed garlic knots. If you go you have to try the knots you'll never want a regular garlic knot again . I consider myself a pizza connoisseur and this place has ruined pizza for me and my girl (in the BEST way). They have the BEST regular slices on the island, and nowhere even comes close to Route 27. I work all over Long Island, so when I grab lunch and try other places I am always disappointed in comparison. Specialty slices are incredible, same with pasta dishes and any type of hero. Frank, Ian and the whole staff and family are super friendly, always remember favorite stand by orders, are attentive and accommodating. Also one of the only places I dont have to ask to have my slices taken out of the oven when I ask for "not too hot". Cannot recommend this place enough. I come here probably 4-5 times a week and I never get tired of it. read more

Such a great place for a slice! Family owned, very welcoming. They have amazing regular and deep dish slices but my favorite is the grandma. Last night was the third visit in a month, I was in the area and stopped in for a couple of slices after 8 PM. The store was very clean and the employees were pleasant. After ordering some deep dish slices and drinks the counter person brought them over, the deep dish was hot and crispy-thoroughly heated and delicious. We had the Buffalo chicken slices and Bacon tomato Deep dish. Both types of pizza were done well and my friend was impressed. This will be a new stop on my South Shore excursions. I honestly do not see how some of the other reviews can be truthful. So I've been living in Islip Terrace for almost 4 Yrs. and as an avid fat guy I've done my due diligence to try all the take out in the area but Pizza is kinda my thing. I've been going to another local place the kids seem to like But I was always thinking this can't be the best the area has to offer. So last week as I was throwing away the weekly circular your ad was on the open page. On a whim I decided to give it a try. This is my new place for pizza in Islip Terrace. The crust was just slightly crispy and the sauce was chock full of garlic and salt it tasted the way I like pizza. We also ordered the hero deal. Buy two get one free. So I got a Chicken Parm and a meatball parm. Both were excellent. The reason I gave four stars and not five, The delivery kid put the three hero's on top of the pizza box and destroyed two slices of the pie ( not that I didn't eat it anyway, remember fat guy) and they forgot my side of sauce. No biggie. Those are just nitpick things. Otherwise it's the type of pizza you don't need to doctor w salt garlic and other add ons. Though for my taste red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese are a constant. I did have one slice without Parmesan and it was still really good. Great place. Above average pizza for this area - the regular pizza is solid, but this place really shines with their Sicilian and deep dish offerings. I don't generally purchase other hot meals from pizzerias, but they do make a very good salad here as well. Give them a try because the pizza is seriously very good, but be careful - some of their workers will get your slices too well done if you don't keep an eye on things! read more

There food is ok nothing special. There pizza is very average, typical pie you get in most pizzeria. There hot dishes are ok at best Chicken parm, baked ziti, stuffed shells Meat balls etc. What they do have is amazing daily specials that are so good it does not pay To cook. 2 for 20 pie's, buy one get one pasta Dishes and really affordable lunch specials. I stopped in last Friday night coming back from a music gig I had just finished in Patchoque. I didn't know they were closed (it was about 11pm). I live in Brooklyn, NY - so since I couldn't make it back for the Tuesday special (2-pies - $20) I asked if he could give me the special on that Friday night. He said, I can't make anything I'm already closed, but I'll give you "anything you want" from the counter for a discount. Let's put it this way - This guy was amazing!! Not only did he give me a fantastic deal, when i got home and re-heated the slices, the pizza was equally fantastic!! Thank You so much! Great Pizza, beautiful people! I never leave reviews, but this place was phenomenal. Hands down the best buffalo chicken slice I've ever had. Highly recommend.

I pass this place on the way home from work so I've given it a few tries but I am not impressed. The slice I just bought had raw dough and the slice my husband had was cold. All the employees are nice so I would hate to see them do bad but they need to pay more attention, there is a lot of competition out there. read more

Just had some of the best pizza out there. I had a grandma slice, and a chicken balsamic deep dish. The crust was really good, crunchy on the outside and a nice texture overall. There is a lot of LI pizza out there, but I really enjoyed this new place. Going to go back and try some of the entrees next time, they sound really good. Penne ala vodka is great, best I've had in the area. Pizza is good, too. Great coupons in the pennysaver. Pretty quick delivery service. The only con was that I could not use more than 2 coupons in a large order, but was told yes at first. so I had to cut the order, which seems like a silly business practice on their part. My boyfriend ordered two specialty slices which were good, I ordered a grilled chicken salad half of the "salad" was yellow. Horrible!...I just wasted 35.00...mozzarella sticks were raw and if my kids don't like them, somethings wrong. I ordered potato and egg hero and it was absolutely horrible...the slices of potato were actually raw then heated up...also meatball hero was bad. I'm not even bothering to call them...now I know...never again. read more
