Omg I should have gotten some more. I stopped in during a drive because I needed something to eat. I saw these on display and had to try one. So happy I did! Next time I'm driving by or am in the area I will definitely get some more to bring home. (Maybe eat one on the way) $1.63 total. Thanks for the friendly service as well! Place was kept clean (:

I was on my way home and wanted pizza......again. But this time would be different I thought. "Frank's Route 27 Pizza" was recommended by a few friends. What could go wrong? The pizzeria is on the service road and shares its parking lot with a few other businesses. I love how the restaurants banner looks like a highway sign right above the building. Inside the place is beautiful! It's well put together and spacious. I was impressed with the light wooden floors and dark wooden counters and chairs. The two gentlemen behind the counter were friendly with me. They acknowledged me and spoke to me regarding items on the menu. I made my usual picks (buffalo and bacon, chicken slice) and got them to go (I was in a hurry). I also got a mac and cheese ball, I wanted something different. The prep time was quick, they took credit without a limit. I paid and I was out with my meal. In my car I was frustrated they didn't give me any napkins. That means I had to be careful when I ate. I started with the bacon chicken slice. I must say.....I was disappointed. It wasn't the best I've had and didn't leave much joy to my taste buds. The second slice the buffalo was better but not by much. It was thick because it has extra crust. It was crunchy at the bottom, yet still doughy. It would have been better with normal crust. The mac & cheese ball went last. That too left nothing to be desired. It was flavorless and I felt there was no cheese in it. I was rooting for them. They had the makings of a good spot. They only fell short on the most important thing, the food! Does this mean I stop listening to my friends? No, because I would go back. Most my experience there was great. I would try a few more slices than make a final decision. I at least owe the two guys there that much for being so cool. I just hope there's something I enjoy next time.

I stopped in here when a friend gave me a coupon for buy 2 heros get 1 free. It's right off RT 27 and easy to get to. I was surprised to find they have great deals all week long, Monday- buy 1 get 1 pasta Tuesday- 2 pies for $20 Wednesday- buy 1 get 1 chicken parm These types of deals can be shocking because cannot be found in Brooklyn or NYC but lurking on the East End is delicious Italian goodness at a great price. The heros (chicken parm, eggplant and Italian sub) were made fresh. I was happy to wait with the Yankees game on the TV. The hot fresh fried cutlets were perfectly satisfying after a long day and I am happy to have leftover sammies for tomorrow.

Lunch special. 2 slices and a soda for $5.40

Did you ever have that kind of pizza where you're halfway through your two slices and you are already mourning the fact that you only have one slice left to go? That was this kind of pizza. I stopped here on a whim on my way between two jobs. This unassuming a little pizzeria. First, I have the echo of the other comments about the ownership. Everybody here is extremely polite. Better than that, the food is amazing. My two plain slices were perfect. Just the right thickness of crust which was cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The cheese was plentiful without being overwhelming. The sauce was flavorful without being overbearing. Just the right amount of olive oil to make the whole mix complete. And for only $5.40, the lunch special was a total bargain. Two slices and a small soda. I would have gladly paid two dollars more for pizza this good. My only regret is that I don't live close enough to make this a regular spot. I would in a heartbeat. Amazing. I'll still be back, however. The other specialty slices looks so good I'm going to have to try 'em.

Il Piccolo Villaggio one of people's favorite Italian places in Long Island, some call the hidden gem! If you are new to this place you might love it, like I did throughout the times I've been to this restaurant. Now, this restaurant not too long ago was full of some of the greatest servers I've seen in the Island and had an absolute outstanding incredible service! But it's coming to an end. When you go to an Italian restaurant you expect great food and great service with an adult and people with experience make your night. Lately this restaurant has had many issues with that now is full of kids and girls trying to do this job like is a game, don't get me wrong I am not against female servers or kids getting new jobs, but for me this is not the place to be if you are going to do the real server/waiter/waitress job. Water not being served, not knowing THEIR OWN MENU, not serving the wine after they sell like its self service. If you sell pour help the costumer serve the wine don't just open serve one time and leave because you will not get a good tip and even ask for a good review like this girl does. You walk by or just sitting down you see people looking for their server to ask for water or pour wine themselves. Now why the 3 stars and not 2 or 1? I still see this kid Jeff and always with a good smile on his face, the last good and old school server I know after the 2 old ones left, this kid and the food is the reason some people do go back. Many will say oh it's just because you like this kid but no. Go yourself ask for him and you will see a difference in the service! Sometimes the menu and specials are repetitive and I I tell him make me something he always surprises me! His way of serving the old school way makes me feel hope for this restaurant. Manager or owner if you see this please save your service, take this review as a kind message to get your level back to where it was. We the neighborhood, the community still want Il Piccolo Villaggio to be top choice for Italian cuisine around here.

Gio's Pizza & Restaurant was everything we loved and missed. It truly tasted like a slice of home for us. Gio's Pizza & Restaurant is located in a small strip of shops with free parking shared among the businesses. The establishment has several chairs and tables for customers to sit and enjoy their slices. Many people at the time of our visits took their food to go, but it's nice that they have the option to eat in if people would prefer that. They offered many different types of pies on display and also had some awesome daily specials. I'm fairly simple with my order with a plain slice and some garlic knots, but my husband tried an array of things and enjoyed everything. Gio's Pizza & Restaurant is going to be a staple place for us to visit the next time we're in Islip. Excellent food, good service, and fair pricing.

There is limited parking in the small lot in the back but there is street parking. There is a small bar area that was quite busy when my brother and I visited on a recent Tuesday at 7pm. I don't know if they have 'happy hour' but it seemed to quiet down not long after that. The dining area is not large but there are quite a number of tables and for a Tuesday many were occupied at that time with everyone from couples to families to singles. Complimentary bruschetta was brought along with a bread basket of a rustic bread w/olives and a white bread. There is a very extensive wine list along with a good selection by the glass. The standard menu is huge and they also had a full page of specials. We started with the crab cakes for an app and we mentioned we'd be sharing. I was impressed that they brought us each 1 plated. My brother had a Veal chop special, enough for two meals, that was stuffed with spinach, prosciutto & cheese in a brown mushroom gravy. He enjoyed it tremendously I have a chicken special that was stuffed with spinach, sausage, ricotta in a light tomato sauce. It was very tasty and a large portion. I took half home. There were also several dessert specials, we had a pistachio creme brulee which was just ok and a rainbow cookie crusted cheesecake which was outstanding. Everything from the service to the food was above average and I won't hesitate to go again and soon

Baked clams are my "litmus test" for Italian restaurants, and theirs are in my top 10. Their menu is insane! So many choices, so many specials each day, and a huge assortment of desserts. If you cannot find something to eat, there is something wrong. The bar area is very small, so don't plan on spending too much time there before you get seated. Their staff is attentive without being annoying, and their dining room is large and welcoming. Once seated, you are greeted with complimentary bruschetta and their ample bread basket. Two things I recommend ordering are their clams and if you eat rabbit, definitely get theirs when it is offered. Portions are huge and the quality of seafood is always fresh. They have a small lot in the rear of the restaurant, with both a rear and front entrance. There is also street parking available (do NOT park in the bank lot across the street--you will get towed).

After one major order mistake, I called to have it corrected and was met with an attitude that completely turned me off. I even questioned whether the restaurant had changed ownership because the difference in service and quality was so noticeable. I was told it hadn't, but there was a new manager whom I had actually seen at the restaurant. Despite all of that, my family insisted we give it another chance because they love one particular meal. I refused to order, pay, or pick it up--and sure enough, they forgot the salad dressing (again!) and another part of the order was incorrect. When I called and asked if someone could deliver the missing items I was met with attitude once again. Tonight, we gave them yet another chance, and, surprise, two of our pasta orders were wrong.
