This is only for communication. I ended up not using Frank's Yard Clean-Up because what I needed was out of his scope of service. I was looking for someone for a recurring yard maintenance service. Frank replied very quickly within 20 minutes. He had mentioned he did not do recurring services but without asking had sent me 2 referrals. Frank could of just said he didn't do the service I needed & end it right there but he took the time out to give me some referrals about the specific services I needed. It goes a long way and says a lot about someone's character & business when they do something like that. I called Frank about a month and a half ago for some yard clean up. He came the same day to give me an estimate and also itemized the work that needed to be done with pricing for each. Which made it great to pick and choose what I needed done. I didn't end up using his services then, but appreciated his time and great communication. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. I called him again for another estimate. Was able to stop by a few days later and gave me a fair estimate for all the work I needed done. I also mentioned I was going to have some stumps removed and my front tree cut down, so he gave me contact info for someone he recommended. That was great bc the guy he recommended actually saved me over $500 if I went with my first estimate. Back to Frank - when I finally decided what I wanted them to get done, I texted Frank (yes you can text them and he will get back to you within a day or so) to schedule a day/time. He's pretty booked a week out, so expect the work not to get done until a week after your initial estimate. They arrived at the time Frank said they would and now my yard looks a whole lot better. They also work very fast and clean after themselves thoroughly. Overall I recommend Frank and his team. Great communication, fair pricing, and over all a good guy. Frank did a wonderful job cleaning up my overgrown front+backyard, pruning 3 citrus trees, and hauling away old wood pieces/junk. I reached out to him via Yelp to schedule the on-site visit to get the initial estimate, but the scheduling for the actual work was done through the phone (and through my partner instead of me). Overall, he was very responsive and we liked his professionalism compared to other people we talked to. We'll still have to hire someone else to keep up the maintenance, but we'll absolutely reach out to him again next year to help us out with our citrus trees. read more

I did not use Frank's Yard Clean Up; this review is regarding his responsiveness and character. I contacted Frank based on his great Yelp reviews. As promised, he contacted me within 24 hours (within an hour) and set a time to come and look at my yard to give a quote for services. He arrived on time and was very professional. When the issue of whether or not all of the sprinkler heads on my sprinkler system are operational, he mentioned he knows someone he could refer me to for that, if needed. In the backyard, there was an issue with the neighbor's tree growing over and down the fence, tangling with my ivy, which is growing up the fence. The same person that checks the sprinkler heads could also handle working with trees, and knows the laws surrounding what can be cut. Frank gave me this person's contact information and suggested I work with this person instead for the job I was proposing, as working with one person is much easier than two. If you are looking for a thorough and honest person to work with for your yard needs, I would recommend Frank. read more

This business was doing yard work at the home next door to mine. At no fault of their own (there was a lot of dirt) they were accidentally blowing dust toward my house and car. I asked the man in charge if he could do it another way and he went out of his way to do that. He also came over and blew my walkway and offered to do more but it wasn't necessary- he'd already changed his method to not negatively affect my area. He was punctuate from the start (his bid appointment) and he & his coworker arrived as scheduled and, after reviewing my needs, got down to business. From what I observed the few times I popped out to see how they were doing, Frank is very conscientious about his work and knows how to move quickly but professionally through the chain saw & pruning equipment operations. While he was pruning a large shrub, I saw him stop to determine which limbs needed removal rather than just buzz through the job. After he hawled away a truck load of junk & removed the trimmings, he got down to raking & blowing the small debris until the yard was very clean. I placed his card on my fridge for future jobs. My backyard died, except for a few amazing creatures in the vegetable kingdom that seem to thrive without water or care. Rain visited the area after so long that we'd forgotten how it looked like. I had to take some classes after work, reducing my gardening time to zero: chaos started to happen. Before I realized, my backyard had turned into a small jungle. I liked to tell people that my yard looked like the Addams Family's cemetery. My landlord left the yard in horrible condition (2 foot high weeds, rose bushes out of control, dead plants in pots, etc). He refused to pay to clean it up, and since I was renting it didn't seem like I should either. So I let it sit for two years. Then I bought the house that I had been renting. Imagine how bad the yard was after 2 years of neglect. It was AWFUL. Since it now belonged to me, I wanted it cleaned up quickly! I called Frank and he came out at a convenient time for me and gave me an itemized estimate. He made an appointment for three business days later to clean it up. Frank and his team were *miracle workers*. They were about 1/4 of the price I imagined it would be. I went to work and came home to this lovely, clean yard. I even have an orange tree! who knew? They cleaned dead plants out of pots. They pulled up gross mulch and plastic from the rose bushes and cut them way back. They found some plants that were still living and cultivated them. Our backyard was a mess. Frank and his team made it so we could finally enjoy our backyard. I called him yesterday and he came by today and gave me a quote. I asked if he could work on it today and lucky for us he was available in the afternoon. Frank and his team came an hour later and they started transforming our backyard. Two hours later it looked habitable and enjoyable for my family. They raked all the leaves, pulled weeds, took care of the mess in our raised planter boxes which surrounds our hot tub, picked up decaying dead fruit, trimmed our palm tree, rose bush, and bird of paradise, and hauled all the unnecessary stuff out of our backyard. We also have a dog and I know there was dog poop out there but I don't see any now unless our Doberman snuck out this evening. - This refers to the vendor's comments to our original review, so you may need to read those in order to get the full context. - The statement "With large trees and fruit trees on a customer's property, we quote according to the amount of time and effort it takes to do a thorough cleanup of the leaves, and sometimes they do continue to fall soon after we have left" should state volumes about this vendor's attitude. The implication seems to be that somehow our yard was covered with leaves "soon after they left" and that they had cleaned the whole thing up and enough leaves had fallen within an hour that we had to go rake the entire yard ourselves. In fairness this vendor did offer to send people back out at no charge to us to "finish the job." This job should have been done correctly the first time (how hard is it to do the "blow" part of the "mow and blow"). That's a bit like saying "sorry they blew the leaves away but they forgot to mow so we will send them back out to do that part of the job." Finally, while I appreciate that routes change and service changes, the fact is that this vendor should have known they were about to move and never quoted us in the first place if they knew they would just need to drop us two months later with a notification the day before that the next day would be our last day of service due to the route change. We reiterate that this vendor is very strong on communication, as you may be able to see from their posts here. Actions speak much louder than words and there is a large gap between the two with this vendor. read more
