I don't get it...I had the Cuban with cheese croquets today and I wasn't impressed at all. My Cuban sandwich here was very mediocre. It's a toasted bun with warm regular deli meats that has a sauce with mustard, but honestly it was very uneventful. Perhaps if it had more hearty meat on it off the bone I would appreciate it more. The Media Noche pork sandwich I had at Melao in Orlando this past weekend with the chunks of real ham and pork on sweet bread blew this sandwich away. The place is very dated inside but has lots of seating, with a restroom at the back. The owner was very friendly and explained some of the sandwiches to me. Maybe the other sandwiches are better?...but I certainly won't be ordering the Cuban again. read more

As I mentioned in my last post. I Returned. I tried their Italian sandwich. So to be more detailed on why I liked. They are different. How? Their bread. Crunchy on outside (without flaking all over place) and soft at same time. Different from regular bulky bread you get normally. The included veggies are fresh and crunchy. I think they add some kind of dressing that gives a BANG! Got to check out their menu. The serve breakfast. That's also on my list. This deli is family owed, which means everything matters to them. Great Spot! If you are looking for a well made sandwich, you have to stop by Franky's. As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed with a friendly group of people behind the counter. I got the cheesesteak with provolone. WOW!!! Freshly made bread. Well seasoned steak. Melty, pull-apart cheese. What else can you ask for? Started this family owned and operated business in August 1999! Franky worked for Subway Corp. and trained franchise owners and I (His Wife) worked for UPS customer service for 12 years! We combined this knowledge to start and operate Franky's Deli with high quality fresh cut meats, veggies and cheeses daily! As well as great customer service and a clean, friendly, happy atmosphere to dine in or take out! This is why our customers come back and bring others to enjoy the Franky's Deli Warehouse experience!

Franky and I (Nanette) have been married for 46 years and have owned and operated Franky's Deli for over 26 years! Franky worked for Subway Corp teaching franchise owners to run their location and I worked for UPS customer service for 12 years! Together this knowledge works to make an outstanding place to eat, meet people and have delicious food!

I recently paid a visit to Frankie's Deli, and boy, was it a trip to Sandwich Wonderland! Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. The definition of a hole-in-the-wall. I got the regular hamburger and wow. there are no words. A classic burger done right. Crisp bun, juicy patty, stuffed with all the essentials (ketchup, shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles). There's about a million options available between the menu board and wall full of specials, so it can get a little overwhelming, but you really can't go wrong. It's a decent hoagie shop... Been there twice, I've had everything from the a custom Ruben with pastrami, beef, and russian, to their cuban steak and even Philly. Honestly it's good for anywhere close to Hialeah (ps: there definitely are better cuban steaks, this one was super tough, not easy to enjoy, id stick to the deli choices). You really can't go wrong with anything in the menu, but their Italian and tuna sandwich is my favorite. Coming here, you will have to admire the scenery before you. "360-degree view" is the word used to describe the scenery there. Because sitting and watching the distant valley, interwoven there are rows of pine trees whispering in the wind. Fortunately, a coworker pointed me toward Latin American Grill in Miami Lakes, just a few minutes from our hotel. It turned out to be exactly the sendoff I was hoping for. We started with the Sopa de Pollo, a bowl that made it immediately clear this kitchen isn't interested in shortcuts. Large chunks of chicken, tender vegetables, and noodles floated in a broth with remarkable depth. It wasn't simply chicken soup, it was the kind of soup that makes you wonder why every other version tastes so timid. A squeeze of fresh lime added just enough brightness to wake up every spoonful without distracting from the richness of the broth. Then came the reason for the visit. The Medianoche. I've always preferred the sweeter cousin of the traditional Cuban sandwich, and Latin American Grill makes a terrific one. Thick slices of ham and juicy mojo pork were layered with Swiss cheese, mustard, and pickles before being pressed between soft, sweet bread until the outside turned beautifully crisp. Every ingredient had a purpose. The pork brought richness, the ham added salt, the mustard and pickles cut through the fat with welcome acidity, and the sweet bread tied everything together. It's one of those sandwiches that reminds you how satisfying simplicity can be when every component is done well. Sometimes the best restaurant recommendations don't come from guidebooks or social media. They come from someone who simply says, "You should eat here." In this case, they were absolutely right. A great Cuban sandwich doesn't need reinvention. It just needs great ingredients, careful execution, and a hot press. Latin American Grill delivers all three.
