Pretty good diner for a small town. Service was good but took a while for food to come out possibly due to shortage of staff. Overall it wasn't bad. I think it is overpriced tho a glass of orange juice was 5$ and it wasn't even fresh OJ. Also they don't have espresso either so that was a miss. The hash browns were really good and the waffles weren't bad but sugary. They are small waffle sizes now which is great for people who don't wanna eat a whole waffle but these photos prior were deceiving showing a different waffle. Keep that in mind. I'd come back here for sure.

Fun fifties diner with all the taste and kitsch you want from such a place. The only thing missing was oldies music.

Haddock, fries, and cole slaw dinner was awesome, great service, and music to boot. Local dinner that knows everyone drink order and consistently good food. Cook staff is friendly, fast, and delicious . Kayla and Sammy top it over as waitresses!!!

2 eggs medium, home fries, corned beef hash and gluten free bread.

The ambience is super cool. The service was warm and friendly. The food was pretty good. I had two eggs and corn beef hash that was homemade and they were very sensitive regarding my gluten allergy.

Seriously good diner that not only gets that they are in the hospitality business but follows up with excellent food. Often restaurants forget they are first in the hospitality arena and clearly Breen's emphasizes that with their wait staff as the service is top notch, friendly and efficient without being obtrusive. My Turkey Club Sub was amazing, the sub roll was excellent one of the very best. Flavorful tender turkey slices with tomatoes lettuce and bacon and mayo make up the sub. The bacon was truly mind blowing if I could buy it by the trunkful I would make a serious effort to do so on a regular basis. Even the mayo was something special. If you are a coleslaw devotee then you are gonna love Breen's cause it is a standout amongst the sea of make believe wanna be coleslaws. Breen's is something special in the culinary diner world, a place you won't want to miss..!!

Best breakfast I have had in a long time. The biscuits are fantastic, especially when covered with their sausage gravy.

The service is always amazing and the food is always on point and it never disappoints. The ambiance is like a typical diner with booths, no loud music so you can talk to your party. Let's get down to the food. Cinnamon Bun Pancakes- this is my go to because I love it! It's not overly sweet which I love and it reminds me on a cinnamon bun. I always get one lol Country Benedict- this is what I order every time I come here as my main dish. You get buttermilk biscuits instead of English muffins with sausage patties on top and the lovely gravy. The gravy is soo good. CHOCOLATECHIP pancakes- my daughter go to since she loves chocolate lol. Which 5 year old doesn't right? She always gets this and it's really good. So if you're in Hudson be sure to come here, you won't be disappointed.

** Patty Melt review **…read more Roadside eatery in a tiny strip plaza. Outside, it looks nothing like the classic New England train car style or New Jersey stainless steel style diners, but inside are countertop with stools, booths around the outskirts, and the hustle and bustle giving it a strong diner vibe. Like my visits to many diners, I was here on my patty melt quest. -- Patty Melt: First, the composition is faithful to the prototype, with a quarter pound patty (no smashburger nonsense), rye bread (no sourdough decoy), buttered (not merely toasted), and with the classic Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and thousand Island dressing. No fusion, no reinvention, no omissions, no hipster jive. Good crispness and butteriness on the bread, great melt on the cheese, and noticeable softness to the onions. Most importantly, the beef could be ordered medium rare, and they executed. More softness, with gushing juices and a really pleasing bite. I suspect nothing special to start with, but they cooked it to near perfection. Only quibble would be not much crust to the patty, but not as critical on a patty melt. -- Fries: I could have had tots or a few other options, but fries were fine. Almost certainly frozen, but the skin-on variety and not the dreaded coated kind. Nothing special, but good enough. Service was adequate. It seemed like everyone was prepping to get everything gathered and cleaned for closing about 90 minutes earlier than necessary, but that didn't detract. If anything, it shows initiative and hustle. Not much data to go on, but an easy 4 for me.

I had my usual Irish Benedict and it was excellent. The eggs were perfectly poached with runny yolks and the nicely crisped up corned beef hash was very tasty, as was the Hollandaise. The homefries were nicely done but could have used some onions. My wife had the traditional Benedict and absolutely loved the thick slice of their signature fresh ham. Service was excellent. It was buzzing with people the entire time but as it is roomy inside, I never saw anyone having to wait. SERVICE: Adrienne took wonderful care of us, keeping coffee topped off and making sure we had everything we needed. FOOD: Good, solid diner food, fresh ingredients. One pancake was the size of the entire dish, could have used a few more chocolate chips. The campora omlet good, would be made better with something savory added or maybe more garlic/onion spice. Home fries were tasty, grilled english muffin excellent. The corned beef hash is crunchy, preference is for the beef to be a bit softer. The bill can be paid with credit card, but the tip must be in cash. Plenty of parking. Beware, if going during winter, the entrance walkway is barely shoveled, we had issues getting a walker through as one side was a very thick layer of ice, so a tricky entrance and exit. I'd recommend they put way more ice melt down near the entrance and chip away at that ice to prevent falls. The parking lot was nice and clear.
