I had grilled chicken & broccoli rabe today, and stuffed Zucchini flowers, but all the Italian dishes are excellent! As a side, instead of pasta try the potato croquettes. I've been coming to Fratelli's for everything from my communion to graduations to family birthdays since it opened in the 90s. Used to live around the corner from them, where their chicken parm heroes and house salad to go was the most anticipated dinner of the week (sorry Mom). Italian food in the Bronx can be a bit monotonous, with sauces that taste the same, or the usual schtick that becomes almost taboo after awhile, where we fall into the motions of eating clams oreganata, something parmigana, and splitting tartufos. Fratelli's is great because it is not the typical fare. They start you off with homemade proscuitto bread or onion foccacia, it varies, with the best eggplant caponata dip I've had. It's something like that dip that separates them in my eyes. Not to mention the always perfect house salad that comes out next. Their marsala is deep and dark, loaded with mushrooms and demi-glace, unlike any other marsala you've had, I promise. Their parmigana is amongst the best, again different from anyone I've had, in an unmistakably Fratelli way. I can't speak enough praise about the place, from Anthony and the staff, down to the chocolate ravioli (top 5 desert ever) it's a great place to have an Italian meal worthy of going out for. read more

Haven't eaten here in a long time, moved away, found other places, well today I returned, Mother's Day, and my wife's birthday, same day, didn't want to travel far and bring home cold food, so I called a friend who said, yes the food is still great, but because of the holiday and takeout only, there's always room for doubt, we'll don't doubt it, phenomenal, first off social distancing was enforced, orders were taken by 4 people, who were dealing with a lot, we had baked clams, mussels in white wine, my wife and son had ravioli and meatball, and I had shrimp scampi, angel hair same sauce, everything was great, people were polite and professional, prices weren't stupid for a holiday, order was Perfect, and they even called my cell when it was ready, can't wait for this corona virus to pass, cause I'm gonna be a regular in that place again read more

I first tried Fratelli's about 10 years ago, and have become a regular. While not on par with Roberto's or Enzo's, I would describe Fratelli's Resturant as a better quality Frankie and Johnnies Pine. While I love most of the specials from the kitchen, I usually order their seafood and veal dishes, which are not only more than plentiful but also delicious. I especially like the veal dishes because unlike some resturants of late, their veal is so tender, there is no need for a knife. While some locals consider it a bit pricey, you get what you pay for here. A meal for me is usually just an entree, which comes with delicious bread and a nice salad, dessert, coffee and a glass or two of wine. That's about $40 including a tip. read more

Returned here and still had a great time. They started us off with Salad, bread, and also a baked bread with like onion. I liked it but it wasn't a fan of the other people I was with. I shared Eggplant Parm with my cousin and it was really good, although a bit to salty. I also had Penne Vodka again, great but really thick. Fried calamari was perfect as well as the Muscles. I forgot what the ice cream was called in the hard chocolate shell but oh man, the chocolate ice cream in it was amazing. The cappuccino was pretty good as well. read more

I found Fratelli through Yelp. Staff was very friendly and solicitous. I was given a plate with a 1/2 loaf of italian bread, butter, oil and ratatouille. Dinner was excellent. Service was excellent. Pretty good Italian american place, the food isn't amazing but it's solid and the prices are pretty reasonable. Mostly traditional menu, so don't expect to be blown away by any creativity. Service is pretty good, too. I wouldnt go way out of my way to eat there but if I was in the area and in the mood for something good, not terribly pricey and easy to get seated this would be a place to go. Great restaurant for a large, loud party. We had Father's Day celebration there for 12 people and the food was fantastic. Service was a little slow, and I heard the bartender throw out a few F-Bombs in front of my kids, but other than the unpolished hired help, the food was authentic Italian and really brought me back to my earlier years. Had the hot antipasto, which was exquisite, along with staple fried calamari, and Broiled Salmon for the main entree. On the dessert side, the Creme Brulee was a little underdone, but still tasted great. read more

Service is a little slow and I usually get waited on by more than one waiter because they are always running around...but the food (baked clams, calamari, veal, soft shell crabs pasta, mocha gelato, pistachio gelato, cappuccino with a cinnamon stick...) are all great. Very nice and cozy, family run, neighborhood restaurant. Very good food and wine with decent, inexpensive prices. I ordered one of the daily specials, which was the sauteed swordfish in a light tomato sauce. It was beautifully presented on a large plate with a medley of vegetables and escarole. More importantly, it was moist and delicious. My companions each had pasta dishes; one with calamari, the other with a white clam sauce. In both cases, the fish was plentiful. I also had the pleasure of enjoying the crab cake appetizer which was moist and delicious. I look forward to returning to have more great food here. read more

Let me start by saying this isn't completely a negative because of the rating. The service wasn't bad. It was good. As it shouldn't have been regarding it wasn't busy. The crab cake I ordered wasn't all that great. The sauce or red wine reduction to me was not good at all sorry. And I believe that the crab was spoiled hence why I didn't eat it. The decor was pretty outdated. And that usually doesn't bother me but some how it did. I might come here again one day and really give them another shot. read more

Went on a weeknight, my first visit to Fratelli. Service starts with a salad and bread basket. Both are good, the salad is pretty much the usual fare however the bread basket is outstanding. Nice crusty bread with a good olive oil flavored with chili and garlic. That alone could be a meal itself. We split the rice balls as an app, sooooo delicious. I had grilled chicken with broccoli rabe, very nice. Everyone in my group enjoyed the food. We didn't try the desserts. An Italian red sauce restaurant in the ole school tradition. Popular with locals, the ambiance is not retro but authentic 80's. The menu is typically tried and true Italian standards no nouvelle/ fusion here. The kitchen however does not disappoint. Try the chicken or veal rolletini Marsala with potato croquette, I regard it as their signature dish. Dinners include a lagniappe, a focaccia bread basket , plus a family style salad, a good deal. Service is friendly and relatively efficient. I was so pleased to rediscover this place a few months back. My husband and I have been going to Fratellis for at least 14 years, the place is warm and friendly...the food is great ( everything they make is YUMMY), the staff are fun and hospitable as can be. Chef Eddie is a very sweet guy...he often comes out of the kitchen of a brief moment to meet and greet his crowd...the service is great and you don't wait very long for a drink....made by Dawn the bartender...she as sweet as pie!! The waiters....all of them Uly, Anthony, Mario, Frankie, Chris, and Edgar are funny and fun!!!! on holidays when I have family dinners we get the back room, it's big enough to fit a good amount of my family members at least 45 people and that's just the back room!!! Amazing dinner!!! I've heard they declined in passed years, but clearly they are back and at the top of their game. They started us with salad and capinata. Both so delicious. The salad dressing was amazing we had them bring us another. I got the chicken cacciatore and I don't think I've ever had it more tender or delicious. And they even had gluten free pasta to boot. We were told about this little gem in the Bronx by someone from Westchester County, so we ventured there to see for ourselves. On this Saturday night every table was taken. At first glance, the menu seemed a little pricey for a somewhat out-of-the-way restaurant. But then our meals were delivered, and there was enough delicious food to feed three with each serving. Service was attentive and polite and they mix a terrific Manhattan. Our table brought all of our leftovers home and afforded us eight additional meals for the four of us. Well worth the trip. Awesome restaurant, and probably my favorite Italian restaurant in the Bronx. I usually get the chicken parm which is delicious, but the veal parm and their pasta is good as well. I usually go here with my family and usually no issues with noise since we go early. The waiters are good and food comes quickly and choose the fried calamari for an appetizer! There seem to be a lot of regulars that go in the restaurant, but unlike other places, I don't feel like we're treated like outsiders despite the fact they probably only vaguely remember us. I was in the neighbor for a wake/funeral, this place was recommended by the funeral home, To be honest the food tasted fine, However it was not long after eating it that I spent the rest of the evening in the men's room at the funeral home, only to have this continue when I reached home and all through the night into the next day. We had dinner there with Friends last Friday night and it was GREAT. The food was out of this world. Ive eaten in every restaurant on Arthur Ave and Fratelli's is right up there with the best of them and better than most of them. The restaurant is a neighborhood family restaurant where they remember your name. If you don't see what you want on the menu just mention it and you'll be WOWed. We asked for a particular bottle of wine and was told they just sold the last bottle so we picked another, the waiter shows up with our first chose we asked if they found another botlle no they went around the corner and bought it try getting that kind of service at the Olive Garden. read more
