I mostly visit Flagstaff to ski and those are usually one-day turnaround trips. So I never have time to do a sit-down dinner. But I was staying in town recently and we came by here on a rainy night to celebrate my bday. Pizzicletta has been around or some time and is located just south of the railroad tracks. They also have a location over at Dark Sky Brewing Co. Pizzicletta makes made-to-order Neapolitan pizzas. They have a variety of pizza creations on their menu. They also make their own gelato. We started our evening with a Burrata Caprese - a favorite of mine. I had my eye on the their Diavola pizza while looking at the menu. It has both chili oil and honey pecorino to make it both sweet and spicy. Our server recommended adding pesto to it which was a great suggestion. I ended my night with a coffee gelato. Our overall Pizzicletta experience was wonderful. Seating here at Pizzicletta is very limited. Be prepared to wait a little. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

This is our 2nd time at Fat Olives. I love their wooden floors, wooden tables and chairs and the brick walls...simple yet stylish! We decided on two pizzas- the 12" Shrimp Fra Diavolo (pesto sauce, spicy shrimp, basil, and the wonderful Calabrian chiles and chili oil) and a 10" Pepperoni. The shrimp pizza was amazing and will have me stopping in here on future Flagstaff trips! The crust was perfectly cooked- a little char from the wood smoke oven and a little chewiness like a good crust should have. Despite the place getting crazy before we left, our waiter was very attentive and got us a box for our last 3 slices (all from the pep) and to-go drinks. Being hot and sunny, we placed the pizza box on our dash and had the last few slices hours later on the road. The only problem with Fat Olives is it being in Flagstaff and not in metro-Phoenix. Okay...2nd problem is I want to try every pizza they have. If the first problem gets fixed, the 2nd problem may go away! Final note- they do have several pizzas with nuts on them, so those with nut allergies should speak to their server to understand any risk.

Was excited to eat here, some friends recommend this place. Entered the restaurant and saw the large menu on the wall. Looked like a great selection of pizza's, calzones, salads, & appetizers. We order a large Cesar salad a pepperoni pizza. Got a number to put on our table, was assuming to put the number on the table for our pizza and salad to be delivered. Sat down the first thing I noticed was how dirty the floors were. It was pretty disgusting. Watching the food runners/bussers wipe off table crumbs onto the floor and not sweeping them up after. No one told us we had to get our silverware and plates on our own. Notice a stack of plates and the silverware placed in containers as if I was in elementary school minus the food trays. Took our drinks back to the table but made a return trip to retrieve the plates and silverware. Upon getting back to the table our Cesar salad arrived. But noticed how spotty the silverware was. Generous amount of salad but the dressing had a strong vinegar taste, my guest made the same comment. Our pizza was delivered and it tasted great. Right amount of pepperoni, crispiness, and sauce, we devoured the pizza. Was our first time here, aside from the dirty floors, spotty silverware, no customer service, we want to try some other food. We've been there twice in the last two weeks and several times before during our yearly escape-the-Phoenix-heat camping trips to Flagstaff. 2 weeks ago, our order of Spinoccoli pizza was completely lost and after an hour wait (they were very busy), and after notifying the manager, he graciously waived the entire meal cost. Back again last night, same order, XL Spinoccoli pizza came out without ricotta cheese (the magic ingredient) on it and the crust flat and hard as a board (usually very light and fluffy with air pockets in it). We notified the waiter and he offered to re-make another one at no charge. After waiting a considerable amount of time (he said our re-make order had to go in behind all the other existing orders...what??), the remake pizza came out with a burnt bottom on the crust. Lots of banter and joviality in the kitchen...maybe they should focus more on preparing orders correctly and managing their finished product. The pizza here has that East coast style and taste. Very thin, foldable crust. Sauce has a bit of spiciness to it and the toppings are alright. I have been buying their pizza for many years, but I will no longer come here. Since the city voted to raise the minimum wage here the owners have made it clear they will do more than just pass that cost along. They are exploiting the situation. Their lunch special went from $8 to $10 overnight. And now, instead of raising the prices on the menu, they just tack on a "service charge" so the price seems the same, until you get to the register. I bought a large and a small pizza to go, the tax was about $3.50, the "service charge" was about $2.50. Sorry guys, that is just shady dealing. Honesty on the menu is important. read more

As a local who has long supported this establishment, I'm truly disappointed to share that I can no longer recommend this place. They recently changed their pizza dough recipe, and what was once my favorite pizza in town now falls short of expectations. I used to love grabbing a slice for lunch or dinner, but the new dough has a texture and taste reminiscent of low-quality fast food pizza. It's disheartening, as this pizza used to be a staple of our Flagstaff community and a go-to spot for many. On a positive note, if you're a fan of wings, they still excel in that area! Good Pizza . I ordered the Margherita (correct spelling if your selling pizza) Never had one with Pesto. That's not a Margherita. But the crust was good . So I gave it a 4 star cause its a nice establishment and the pizza works. Id give it a ZERO on service however. The kids all stoned or drunk goofing off. He said he called my name twice. meanwhile knowing where i was sitting couldn't come over and give it to me or tell me. I know the business I grew up in it. Sometimes the owner isn't aware so figured I let him know his liquor sales may be short due to some drinking on the job. Also I tend to tip well so I threw in a 8 buck tip before hand. Man, this is the BEST pizza in Flagtown, by far. The price is right, offering good deals for multiple peoples (so, it's good to take your guests to), and excellent TV coverage throughout-- the perfect place to take in a Super Bowl, or even a regular game. They even have Alaskan Amber on tap! But that's just describing the place-- the winning marks for Fratelli's is the quality of it's pizza, which is absolutely delicious. I have never eaten a bad slice in the place, even on a pizza without my favorite toppings. Always fresh & delicious! Also love their side salads, especially the Fratelli House. I wasn't always a huge pizza fan, but after I tried the Pesto Cashew pizza, I was hooked. It's so delicious, I can't even describe that first bite...They have two locations - one just south of the tracks downtown, and one on 4th Street, so if you're not taking it home, you can hang out and have a pitcher of beer with your pizza. read more

Can't get a simple order right. Me and my friends come into this establishment and order a " meat lovers" pizza. Once we got home we open the pizza and it is nothing but tomatoes and basil. No meat whatsoever. We weren't happy. Since it was almost time to close, they probably hurried up and didn't even care. This isn't a place i want to spend my money. Don't waste your time. I live 2 blocks from this WONDERFUL place and absolutely LOVE it. The Lumberjack Special feeds a family of 4 and there are never any leftovers! The breadsticks are a meal in themselves. Just spent a week in Flagstaff, and since Fratelli's was voted #1 pizza for the last 8 years, we thought we would try. IT WAS AWEFUL!
