After a year of them being open I finally got around to trying them out and was not disappointed. Desperately needed as I love deli/sandwich shops and we were lacking one in the nearby, this is a welcome additional fantastic addition tot he area. The interior is spacious and well curated with subway tiles behind the counter and clean displays. The seating is plentiful and their branding is quite nice and fun. The sandwich menu is extensive with a range of options, something for anybody including more traditional options and some nice specialties; there are even some vegetarian offerings. While I did not have a side I will have to try them next time. The sandwhich proportions were also quite good in my opinion. As in while they were not piled high to the point of being a brick, the filling was plentiful and ratio of bread to filling was nice while still being a substantial and filling portion (for a full sandwich). In addition to sandwiches they have a display case full of fantastic looking desserts which u will definitely be returning for. Also, there is a meat and cheese counter which is quite convenient so that one can get some slices to go. The service was friendly and prompt, for dine in and takeout, and pricing was fair. Every Wednesday morning we do grocery shopping and on the way home we order take out from this eatery. We have never been disappointed by the food or service. Recently I looked at the Specials that were available and discovered that they had a Muffuletta. Now we only became aware of the Muffuletta while watching a TV food show a few years back. Got the recipe, bought the ingredients, and enjoyed our first one. Then we had the occasion to travel to New Orleans and had an authentic one. Since then we've only had a Muffuletta on a rare occasion because of the challenges in rounding up the right ingredients. Today my wife each ordered a Muffuletta for lunch and I'm here to tell you it was fantastic! As good as the one we enjoyed in New Orleans. Word of caution, it is a big sandwich. read more

I have my first Fratelli experience this week. A friend wanted to meet for lunch to talk some business, and I suggested Fratelli and he jumped on it, as it is one of his favorite places. We went in knowing exactly what we wanted (for me that was pastrami on rye with mustard, no cheese please) but when we saw a chopped cheese and a pork belly breakfast sandwich as specials, the plans went out the window. We got both and split them. Definitely a good call. Great food. Short service note, we ordered a pasta salad and a macaroni salad and afterwards noticed in the display case that there were olives in the pasta salad (I'm not sure why people put olives in food) and popped back to the cashier and asked to make them both macaroni salad and he said sure with a smile on his face and ran over to the order window and wrote the change on the ticket and we got exactly what we wanted. Jersey classic breakfast sandwich review. I really like this deli and visit often, really good 'da beef'. Staff is great. Originally from NJ, but have lived in Raleigh for decades. Little disappointed in the this sandwich. The kaiser roll was kinda soft, not like a real jersey hard one on outside and soft inside. Also has lots of tiny poppy seeds, instead of few bigger ones. The pork roll, or Taylor ham, was sliced thin. Would recommend thinker cut and grilled well on both sides. Will go back to deli, again like it, will just not order this. read more

So excited about this new sandwich shop close to home. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and very classy. I ordered the Italian sandwich with a potato salad as an extra side. The sandwich was huge and very tasty - the potato salad was pretty good but not my favorite. Service was relatively fast given the number of people waiting for their orders. The only downside is trying to get to this location during dinner time on a week day - it's right off of 64 and is near a very busy intersection. It took us a while just to be able to turn into the area, coming from the beaver creek side. Still looking for another way to get over there, because I'd love to try more of their food! read more

Came here for lunch recently and enjoyed my meal. We came around 12:30 PM and it was packed! We still managed to find a table but we had to wait in line for quite a while to order. I ended up getting the Berserker for myself and my wife got the Triple Decker Club. There was also a little bar area where I ordered a beer for myself, but apparently you can also order beer at the normal counter :) Who knew? It took a while for our two sandwiches to arrive, and since they're served cold, I assume they're easier to prepare than some of the other items on the menu . Still, as I mentioned, there were a ton of people there, so no big deal. My sandwich was very tasty! Nothing mindblowing but it definitely got the job done. My wife didn't like her sandwich as much - she felt like the bread was a little stale and that there wasn't enough mayonnaise and fillings in the sandwich. Too much bread and too little substance, I guess. She's open to going back but would order something else next time :) Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Fratelli's and would definitely consider coming back for lunch. read more

I tried their Italian sandwich, and this was the best Italian sandwich I have ever eaten! At first, I looked at the sandwich and thought it was lacking in oil and vinegar, but I took my first bite, and WOW! It was packed with so much flavor that I no longer wanted to change anything about the sandwich. All of the staff was extremely friendly. There is limited seating (maybe 10 tables), so keep that in mind. There are also convenient Grab & Go and Take & Bake selection items. Definitely give this place a try! I've had the Italian beef grilled cheese and the Philly steak with added peppers and mushrooms. Both outstanding! I've heard their Boars Head pastrami and corned beef sandwiches are outstanding too! Sides are ok with the potato salad being a stand out. I was a little disappointed in tots that weren't quite hot in the middle of some. Service the one time I've eaten in was good with food coming out as it's ready and not all at once. Dave and his family bring authentic Chicago and New York-style deli classics to the area, and it's clear they've poured heart and soul into this spot. The Chicken Parm (like their Meatball Parm but with a crispy chicken cutlet) was delicious, and the Wedding Tomato Basil Soup was fantastic--perfect comfort food. The Caesar salad was plenty to share, and the beer and wine selection added a great touch to our meal. Service was spot-on, with the owner himself pitching in. Fratelli's mission is to bring the flavors of a NYC/Chicago deli to Apex. My husband and I stopped in for lunch and it was slammed. The seating inside is limited, luckily we were able to snag a table after we ordered at the counter. The menu offers a lot of choices for breakfast or lunch. For food I ordered the fratelli's press panini and a side of macaroni salad, my husband ordered the rosalita breakfast bowl and we split a cannoli and piece of tiramisu. If you want an adult beverage then you can order at the bar area, I went with an IPA. The bowl was just okay but the rest of the food was really good. My only complaint about my sandwich was that one half lacked turkey. This authentic NYC deli is to die for! We had different entrees and desserts and they were on par with the best in NY/NJ. My partner had a turkey club and he love, love, loved it! His cannoli was delectable - he shared a TINY piece. I had a caprese sandwich. One bite and I was transported back to Italy! So fresh and delicious. I had authentic rainbow and leaf cookies for dessert. I shared a REALLY TINY piece of one. We brought home a box of cookies and ate half of them on the way. All were delectable. The atmosphere takes you back to the best of Manhattan. Everything is bright and clean and there is plenty of parking. All the staff are super nice and helpful. This place is such a gem that I was expecting Jerry Seinfeld and George Costanza to walk through the door at any minute. This will definitely be in our favorite restaurant rotation. Additionally, they also have Beer, Wine, and Prosecco. We ordered a Meatball parm and Chicken Parmesan sub to go. Meatball Parm - The bread is fresh and delicious. Supposedly this bread is made to order by La Farm in Cary. The meatballs are a good size, and covered with cheese and sauce. The flavor of the meatballs reminds me of Delis back home in New England. The meatballs were soft and not overcooked. I personally would have liked some more seasoning of the meatballs. Chicken Parm Sub - The same bread from La Farm as the meatball side. Fresh and soft. The chicken was cooked PERFECTLY (and plenty of it!). While taking a bite the bread soaks up the sauce and the chicken lightly crunches as it hits your tastebuds. I can't emphasize enough how well the chicken was cooked. It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce paired perfectly with the cheese. I can honestly say this is one of the best chicken Parmesan subs I have ever had. Recommend it highly!! In Raleigh from Savannah for work, came on a whim as I saw the reviews on yelp so I had to cross reference. I loved Fratelli's so much that I had it twice on this trip as I enjoyed the genuine deli feel, for breakfast I had the chicken and waffle sandwich, the pimento cheese and the honey glaze made the sandwich remarkable. Lastly I had the vodka parm sandwich that had a bit of pesto on top and I was stunned with how flavorful it was. The Service was quick and to the point, definitely coming back when I can. read more

Their sandwiches are hit or miss. Like there meatball hero, thats pretty good, that one hits. Don't ever get the Philly cheese steak, the steak was super tough, and under seasoned. I got a grilled cheese with pimento cheese, grilled onions and black olives, kinda weird but I love black olives. Anyway, it was really good, however very very messy. The Philly chicken on the other hand was pretty good,, tender juicy chicken,, nicely grilled and seasoned. Their tater salad is disgusting , mac salad however, was a nice balance of sweet and savory, IMHO, too much sweet and the salad is inedible. Technically this should be 4.5 stars since the food & service at Fratellis's were excellent. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that there's not enough seating. The owners were very attentive, bustling around making sure all the tables were cleaned in between guests and checking in on everyone. Because of the seating, we ordered our food to-go. They were very accommodating of food sensitivities and went above & beyond to make sure that the panini was prepared correctly. The Jabroni brought back memories of the grilled sausage & peppers at San Gennaro's & what I'd find in NYC's Little Italy. The sausage was grilled to perfection & the hot giardiniera just added that perfect chef's kiss. Da Combo was also excellent with a very flavorful Italian beef & au jus with that amazing grilled sausage. Cookies were very good as was the cannoli. Cannoli was filled all the way unlike some other places that leave the center empty. It was so good that we didn't even have a chance to take a pic. This will define a haunt for us since it's so hard to find some of the foods that we've grown up with. I can't wait to try some of their other offerings! read more

They got it and it's delicious! I ordered the Pastrami on rye, the vodka chicken parm, coleslaw, macaroni salad, pasta salad and turkey club. That pastrami was chefs kiss and the chicken parm.....mmmmmm. Picture a thin fried crispy chicken cutlet with a generous slab of mozzarella, vodka sauce and pesto. I took a bite in the car, and well...just kept biting so no pictures ( sorry. ). Everything was fresh and tasty. My favorite salad was the pasta salad. I personally didn't care for the coleslaw but all the food was delicious. They also sell deli meats to take home and make your own sandwiches. Oh. They have a great variety of delectable desserts, but I didn't get any this visit. ( You know New Year's resolutions ). It's a small family owned business and the service made me feel like family. . My girl and I searched for a deli spot around Apex in an attempt to replicate the unforgettable Italian-style deli experience we had in New York City back in August 2023, and found Fratelli's. When we got there, we were a bit surprised to see that its area looks quite new, somewhat desolated, and surrounded by various condo-like buildings and empty offices. This deli looked the brightest in that area as if it was "the spot" waiting to be discovered. When we got inside, we were delighted to see the pleasant interior of the dining area. There were gift baskets and other gift items on the shelves on one wall but despite the amount of decors that put a spark to the place, there's a minimalist feel to Fratelli's that I haven't seen in a deli place - a positive sign. The lights lit the area well and its atmosphere overall looks welcoming. We anticipated to get some kind of parmesan sandwich (what we usually order in Wegmans) and I was craving for a Reuben (what we usually order in Jason's Deli). As expected, both items are listed in the long menu just right of the wall where the cashier is. It would have been convenient to see some photos of what the sandwiches looked but I figured they might have ruined the overall look of Fratelli's ambience. The sandwiches looked fairly price. There are 2 size options for the sandwiches ($8 and $14). We each both got a $14 sandwich: I ordered the Reuben and my girl got a Meatball Parmesan, and our plan was to split each so we can taste each other's sandwiches. We tried to see our options for sides like chips or soup like how we usually get them, but seems unclear since they don't come with the sandwich order. There's a small cup of coleslaw for $3 and considered it but decided not to. There appears to be no way to "combo" your sandwich like how Jason's Deli and other deli spots do it. We just got water for our drinks and the plastic water cups were too small. I know it's just for free water but for a classy-looking place like this, it made our eating experience feel somewhat cheap. The cashier, a young girl who appears to be in her teens, simply took our orders. I was hoping she'd recommend some sides that will go well with our sandwiches but there was no upselling or anything. As new customers, we felt something was lacking with our orders. There are also baked goods and potato salad and other items visible behind the glass but we did not bother take a closer look. There are also breakfast items in the menu, Grab & Go Italian baked goods in accessible fridges as well as various meats and cheeses on display behind the glass. We got our waiting number with the stand just like Jason's Deli and sat at the center of the dining area. The ambience and space look fine. White walls look clean and interior of the place just looks wonderful. The soda machine can be seen on one side. We did not wait long for our sandwiches to arrive. An employee brought them to our table without taking the number stand. Both the Meatball Parmesan and Reuben taste good and fairly portioned for their price. The Reuben was quite a change from what we were used to. We liked the way the corned beef was cooked but it seems to lack saurkraut. We wanted to taste more saurkraut but it's lacking of it. The Meatball Parm tasted as we expected - not as good as what we tried in New York, but not bad. I'd put it on the same level as Wegmans' meatball parm with Wegmans having a slight edge because of its customizable options. The bread of both sandwiches tasted fresh and toasted well. Better than the other deli spot that we've been to in New York. We'd say that Fratelli's bread quality is better than most deli spots. Overall, our experience in Fratelli's is average. While we enjoyed its well-lit ambience and the quality of their sandwiches' bread and meat, I can't itch the feeling that this deli needs to improve some things in order to deliver a wholesome deli experience. Maybe we should have tried sides like coleslaw but Fratelli's doesnt make it easier for new customers to make our meal taste complete. Maybe developing a Fratelli's mobile app would help ordering more convenient or perhaps introducing combo options for their sandwiches would also help. The sub-par cashier customer service and cheap plastic cups for water downgraded our dining experience. We might return for their sandwiches - probably for take out one day, if we drive around that area, but probably not anytime soon. This deli location is new despite the long list of Fratelli's founders on its wall, so I hope the owners and management will be able to improve on the points I stated in this review. It could be that deli "spot" waiting to be discovered but right now, it's clearly not. And please add more kraut to your Reuben! read more

I had the New Yorker and the wife had the Reuben. Both were very good and well executed. The food came out quiet quickly for them being packed on a Saturday with the line out the door. They had a great selection of tables inside and out that allowed us to enjoy the cool spring morning sitting in the sun. The breakfast bowl had so much meat my wife had to share. My son gobbled up there egg and sausage sandwich. I devoured there Ruben and would go back just for that. Pro tip: Order online (scan the QR code) to skip waiting in line and get your food faster than the usual method. We will be ordering ahead of time going forward. We will be back for sure! read more
