I have never -- and I mean never -- gone to an Italian restaurant and ordered beer out of necessity. Yet here we are. It just didn't feel right. Now, credit where it's due: the garlic bread was actually really good (though I'm pretty sure it didn't grow up in that kitchen), and the limoncello cake -- confirmed not house-made -- was honestly the star of the meal. I don't mean: "I like mine crispy and those were soft" under cooked. I mean if they require 7 minutes in the fryer they were down for like 3-4 minutes tops. Side salad: 6/10. Basic side salad. Penne pasta w/ Alfredo sauce and grilled chicken: 3/10. The chicken was flavorful and had some char on it which I liked. The problem is, that was the only thing that was hot. When I moved my dish it felt cold. The pasta and sauce were barely warm. Did I bring any of this to the attention of the staff? No. When you screw up this many things to that level, you're probably not going to be able to correct it. Hopefully I can find another nice restaurant around. Looks like I may have to go to Slidell. My bill was a few cents short of $90. For that quality at that price I'm not going back even for a free meal.

It's also a wedding venue. It was the Black Friday and they had a 50% off on all of the cocktails. Such a good deal, so we all indulged in a few rounds of drinks.
