If i could give 0 stars i would. i was very excited to try the pizza here however i placed an online order a week ago and when i got to the restaurant to pick it up they nicely said they didn't have my order after looking for a minute even though it charged my card but i left with no food. Then today, hoping to give it a second chance i called in an order thinking maybe that they have a problem with online orders but not phone orders, at the end of the call he told me it would be ready in 20-30min so i drove over and when i got there yet again they didn't have my order, so i asked the dude at the register to confirm the number i had called from my call log on my phone to see if it was the correct number and he said it was but they didn't have my order. he said there was nothing he could do and offered to put it in now that i was there but "it would take a really long time". left once again with no food, unfortunately i will not be giving it a third try, to put this nicely they suck! read more

I love coming here for the wings and pizza! Their wings are too good. 10/10 recommend those. However, it's hard to have an appetite when you walk in and the place smells like cheap perfume masking a cigarette stench. I normally have great service here, but the tall, thin brown haired girl acts very entitled and gives horrible customer service which really makes me shy away from coming here as often as I did. If it wasn't for her, this place would be my go to spot as I tell everyone about their great atmosphere and wings! read more

Stopped in as I noticed the door open, brand new restaurant. What a great spot as Freda's as partnered up with a craft brewery and an ice cream shop in a community setting. Freda's pizzas are simply the best. I've had pizza from around the world and Phil's pizzas have the best flavors of any to date. I took my teenage Daughter (pizza lover) to the Camarillo location without telling her how I felt and she was raving after the first bite. The potato bacon sounds crazy, but tastes great. For meat lovers, Americano fits the bill. Forget wings and go for the Buffalo Chicken. Want a more Italian flair, the Quattro Fromaggi, Margarita, and Italiano will have you speaking in Italian. I can go on and on, but I'll end with just go try Freda's. Bravo Phil! read more

There are a ton of pizza places in Camarillo but this one is worth is special stop. Sharing a building with Topa Topa Brewery, this place is a perfect accompaniment to a pint of beer. The Spinaci pizza is excellent. I've yet to try other pizzas but my wife and I always stop at this one. I'm providing this review of this restaurant's purely incredible customer service - even for non-customers! That's right. A friend of mine and I had stopped by the neighboring establishment to catch up. He got a beer next door and I don't drink, so I got a cherry soda at Freda's. We'd already eaten elsewhere down the street and weren't hungry at that point. After catching up, we were ready to leave from the neighboring brewery's outdoor seating area when he discovered his car keys were missing. We realized he must have lost them at the now-closed restaurant down the street. We looked everywhere and asked each business that was still open if keys had been turned in. No luck. We tried one more time at Freda's, before trying to figure out what we'd do next. No luck on keys again, but the staff noted that the owner (Phil) was seated at a nearby table and maybe someone had notified him. He was on a phone call, yet politely ended his call immediately to see what we needed. We felt terrible about interrupting him. We explained that the keys included both house and car keys, and he did all he could to help. I asked if he knew the owner of the restaurant down the street and maybe had contact info so we could see if keys had been turned in before they closed. He said he did and messaged the owner, who then contacted the manager to see if keys had been found. While we waited, Phil asked if he could get us something to drink, food - anything. He was so accommodating - even though we weren't there as customers. Most businesses wouldn't have made that kind of effort for us. While my friend again checked outside, Phil told me the restaurant we needed to hear from wouldn't be open on New Year's day but said, "Don't tell your friend yet. Wait 'til later." He was concerned about worrying him further and hoped we'd hear back about the keys without having to give him another reason to be stressed. How incredibly considerate is that? My friend and I knew getting an Uber on New Year's Eve wouldn't be easy and many of the local hotels were fully booked - or were outrageously priced for a last-minute reservation, and even at that, we were looking at a potential second day until the restaurant where the keys were lost re-opened post-holiday. Phil came back to our table and then offered his personal number to my friend and said as soon as he had any word from the other restaurant owner, he'd message my friend to tell him if his keys were there or not. It was his only car key fob, so that would've cost a mint to replace and he'd have had to hire a locksmith to come out on New Year's Eve to get in his house. That would have been quite expensive, if even possible at all on the holiday. Luckily for him, the other restaurant's manager said they had the keys. They dropped the keys off at Freda's and Phil got them to my friend. TOTAL HEROES! When I told Phil he was an angel for helping us out and I'd make sure to post a good review here, he replied that wasn't necessary because he was happy to help and just wanted to see that my friend got his keys. Sorry, Phil, but you deserve the applause. AMAZINGly great staff all around at Freda's - they were all so nice. And, btw, my friend did end up ordering an individual pizza to take with him, which was as amazing as the staff. THANK YOU PHIL and the whole Freda crew. I'm recommending you to all my friends. Folks, support your local small businesses like Freda's! Also want to thank the restaurant down the street (Cafe Ficelle) for kindly taking their holiday time to drive back to the cafe, get the keys, and drop them off at Freda's for my friend. I had the pleasure of sampling their fantastic pizza at a catered event. I met with Abraham and Donnie, and both men were professional, friendly and did a great job of going over the fantastic ingredients used. I also was able to watch them prepare the pizza, and finally try out the end results. The pizzas cook in about three minutes, but the crust was crisp and done perfectly. Overall it was an incredible experience and the food and professional production made this a go to place in the future. read more

I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews but I feel like I need to warn others. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the beet salad yesterday off door dash (no fault of DD, the driver was awesome) and the entire order was inedible. The meat in the sandwich was so beyond salty, I felt like I was getting a joke played on me like a gag joke or something. I took one bite and started choking due to so much salt, it was truly unreal. I asked my husband to try it to see if it was just me and he was dumbfounded and thought the same thing, like if I was playing a prank on him and emptied the entire salt shaker into the sandwich. I threw it away and cut my losses and just figured I'd be fine with the salad. I was very wrong there too as the whole salad was mixed with rotten arugula and no matter how many pieces of slimy, yellow arugula I tried to pick out, the whole thing just tasted rancid. I was going to leave it at that, a complete loss; but now I'm here 12 hours later because I got food poisoning from this "food" and being that I am currently pregnant, I am very upset and concerned. We went on a Saturday afternoon and decided to get our pizzas to go since the patio was pretty crowded and the seating protocol was confusing (said to see hostess first, but never saw a hostess). We ordered our 2 pizzas quickly and stood off to the side to wait for them. After about 25 mins I went up to ask how much longer and they assured me that I was next. After another 10 minutes the manager(possibly) and a cook came out to us to ask us exactly what we ordered. Why didn't he ask me that when he told me "you're next!"? He then brought out our 2 to-go pizzas and apologized profusely. Unfortunately our pizzas were ice cold (probably from sitting behind the counter even though we asked how much longer 15 mins prior). Since we got them to-go, we had to drive 20 mins home and reheat them in our oven. The mushroom and truffle pizza didn't taste like truffles at all. And the potato and bacon one had a burnt potato on it and long strips of flimsy bacon. Not very appetizing. It's too bad. Both times I have bought food had issues. First time didnt get the ranch was told they would bring it out ended up going inside to ask for it. Second visit ordered nachos was not told they were out until i told them i had not gotten my nachos, was told they were out. Didnt even get refunded. I rated a 1 star because there are no negative ratings. I ordered a Cubano sandwich, my wife ordered a chicken Cubano. It took 30 minutes to get the sandwiches and there was only one other couple in the place. The only thing I could taste on the Cubano was a very nasty mustard and there wasn't enough chicken on the other sandwich to make a quarter of a sandwich. This place is an awesome new addition to our community. For starters the pizza and salad are amazing! Chewy, crispy crust. Perfectly pure sauce and wonderful toppings. The Fennel and Peppers pizza is our favorite. Love the salads too. The service has been friendly, prompt and consistent. We love the atmosphere and being in The Mark food court is perfect! Had them cater an event 2 years ago and the portable wood fired pizza oven was fantastic and fun. BUT, communication is a nightmare with unreturned phone calls, emails and pretty much "ghosting". Last time I was stubborn and persisted and although annoying & stressful, it did eventually happen but I just tried to book them again and after 4 unreturned phone messages and 3 unreplied 3 emails, I give up. (I kept trying because their portable pizza oven is so unique & special) Is it so hard to have someone quickly return a call or email and say "we aren't interested" or "don't have time"? I was really hoping for a great New York type pizza after reading the reviews, but I was disappointed. I ordered the pepperoni pizza which came with lots of pepperoni. Unfortunately the pepperoni made the pizza extremely oily. A friend had the mushroom pizza which came out crisp and didn't suffer the same fate. The pizza is so bland, crust is awful (how is that even possible with a brick oven?!), just BAD overall. The NY style pizza is a total misrepresentation- take that from a fellow New Yorker. Wonderful place! I'm a bit biased, having been a regular customer of Custom Pie/Melt in Moorpark. We never could find a local pizza place that makes pizza as good, so we are so happy that Phil opened this new restaurant. We recently came in for a custom pizza, a salad, and chips and cheese (a delicious throwback to the Moorpark store). It was awesome. Staff is friendly and professional , even after having to shift gears so often with the ever-changing Covid rules. The ambiance is really nice, and I like the pairing of pizza with beer and ice cream businesses. I hope they continue with the outside eating area after all the Covid restrictions are lifted. read more
