Wanted to try a new breakfast place other than a chain restaurant and this restaurant hit the spot! There is plenty of seating inside and gives a cool diner vibe. The food was really good, I normally don't care for fried potatoes but I could not get enough! The employees were nice, it is counter service so everything is made to order. Def give this place a try :) Note: we did not order it but we saw the chicken and waffles at another table and the plate was huge! Good for 2 to share.

Large selection and food is plentiful. You're not going to get a skimpy sandwich here that's for sure. They make everything to order. Note that breakfast ends by 10:30am.

It's a cozy place with well seasoned good food, good choices, and excellent service with friendly faces. French toast butter is awesome. We'll be back for sure. Place is easily accessible, got a ramp for people with disability, fair amount of parking spaces.

First time trying this restaurant and we beyond happy! Our clients loved the food. This will definitely be on our list of catering options for future events.

Showed up at 10:34a. Four minutes after breakfast ended. I asked if we could still order breakfast. They asked what we were ordering and they said yes! Tastes really good and oh my great service. Can't wait to go back.

What a great hole-in-the-wall find! We came here for breakfast on a Saturday and from the outside I was skeptical but boy was I wrong. This place is great. The service was counter but when we asked for extra butter, etc, the woman behind the counter was very friendly and accommodating. Their salsa is phenomenal, really reasonable prices for this economy, and I'll definitely be back soon!!!

Food was great. Enjoyed the large portions and great service. Atmosphere: A funky joint with great personality. Lots of great vibes. Don't be fooled by the business park surroundings, caused me to take a triple "no way it's back here" glance to be sure i was in the right place. Food: Rueben was expertly grilled and blew me away. Buffalo chicken sandwich was also killer. 5/5

In the area on business and decided to stop for lunch. We didn't know what to do when we first came in but figured it out by walking to the back corner and seeing the long counter. Perhaps we missed signage at the front that indicated procedure. I ordered a Reuben with onion rings and hubby got a fish sandwich with fries (lunch special). The fish was flounder and beer battered. It's on a toasted bun with shredded lettuce, pickles, mayonnaise, and cheese. Fries were fresh cut. Both were very tasty. Only thing I would have done was squeeze lemon on and salt the fish. Ruben sandwich was FULL of corned beef on beautifully crispy rye bread with thousand island dressing and sour kraut as well as Swiss cheese. The onion rings were PERFECT! Crispy without the onions being burnt. Totally would go here again! Would love to try other menu items. Sad it's an hour drive from my house.

Great Food and quick service. The regular taco was delightful. A family friendly atmosphere.

I ordered two $2.99 sausage egg and cheese breakfast tacos and a cup of coffee. I had no idea and the menu does it tell you this, but then they proceeded to "up-sell" me the cheese, the sausage, and the Pico by adding $3.50 to my bill. I probably wouldn't have minded had they forewarned me, but when they do this without telling you, it kind of ticked me off. So I definitely would not eat there again and it is no surprise the place was empty when I went in there. I guess they need the money.

Thankfully, Mark was there and initially was told a 35 minute wait but seemed intent by quicker. Ambiance: 4/5 It was breakfast time so of course it was a busy time. For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

What I eventually found both surprised and delighted me, and Nate's gets a thumbs up overall. Pictures are deceiving as I thought the place would be larger but it's a tight fit for bigger groups. There are only a handful of tables but plenty of character. It's also a bit grimey, unsightly and even a tinge dodgey, which may be a deal breaker for others but is an immediate appeal to me. Two things immediately standout when it comes to the food: the portions and the prices are outstanding. The offerings are as no frills as the rest of the establishment. The other surprise was how much influence there was from Mexican cuisine. Hash browns were the goal, but chorizo and chilaquiles were the bonus. Another surprise? The hash browns weren't as crispy as I would have wanted. It's entirely plausible that I came on an off day, which happens. However everything else was on point as my chorizo skillet was absolutely dynamite, pancakes were fluffy and indulgent, breakfast tacos were outstanding, and my eggs were perfectly softly scrambled. Even the bacon and sausage patties were delicious, which is a tall order considering it's not likely made in house. Lastly, as someone who drinks cold water like it's a hobby (#1), I'm especially grateful for the massive 32 oz cup of water, which is perfect for someone who drinks like a camel. The staff is not the quickest but they are friendly. Spanish may go further with most and they're not the quickest when it comes to greeting folks or cleaning tables. The food is the star and consider paying in cash. ____________ (#1) I'm thirsty.

We all ordered something different off the menu. The food was good but the service just seemed very dismissive and not exactly friendly. I would definitely come back and try it again. I'm a strong believer that may be somebody was having a bad day. And I would definitely come back and just buy a pie and take it home because they looked delicious. We shared a bowl of the potato soup where we had no expectations and I thought it tasted pretty decent. But the real test was the entrees. Mr. Picky ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp while I opted for Veal Parmigiana, and we each stole a bite from the other's plate. We reached consensus immediately that both dishes were well-seasoned and quite delicious, meaning we would return for more good food in the future. Seriously, we hadn't expected much when walking in and looking around, but were pleasantly surprised at the kitchen's efforts. We finished lunch with an order of homemade bread pudding and tiramisu, the latter of which in 2012 won a chamber of commerce epicurean competition 1st place ribbon. I wasn't there to judge that competition and have had better, but sincerely appreciated the moistness of the bread pudding. While the majority of diners were older and a more mature crowd, there's a lot to be said for value, and we thought the menu price was better than reasonable and I think a lot of people will discover this as a value destination, something we all appreciate.
