Delicious food fast in a friendly casual environment. The grilled tilapia sandwich is to die for!

Bought the Groupon and sat on it for awhile because it's a little out of the way for me. Finally had a reason to head that direction during their business hours and decided to check it out. Totally glad I did. The outside is not much to look out. It's located in a business block and can get lost in the white rabbit warren of offices but the inside was nice and clean and the food was great diner food. The fries were up there with Five Guys. I had the patty melt and it was amazing. I do not recommend trying to eat it while driving as I was licking cheese and onions off my shirt in an attempt not lose any of the delicious goo. They use purple onions rather than white or yellow which I think gives it a much better flavor. The only draw back was the frozen patties they used. Still thick and tasty but the the texture just wasn't the same as a fresh patty. read more

Both mine and my wife's dishes were great. I had the Texas cheese steak, and my wife had the chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla had a nice spiciness to it. The fries tasted a little off (like they might have been fried in the same oil as the catfish), but they still tasted good. I'd definitely go back to try other items on the menu. read more

I've known about this place for years having once worked in the area but I've never tried it. I stopped in today for a late lunch before visiting a client right around the corner. I drive by this place many times and I wouldn't have know if it wasn't for yelp. To start it all of the they had good service and fast delivery of their food which is good considering I was in a hour lunch break. I ordered a double meat burger with bacon and cheese and Fries on the side. I rate the burger a 6.5-10, the patties did not taste fresh almost as if they were previously frozen however the French fries were good. They have very large portion sizes too so at least you're leaving full with decent priced food read more

This is a great place for breakfast! The breakfast tacos were awesome. The restaurant is very clean and orderly. Prices are low but I truly don't understand the high ratings. Three of us went for breakfast this am. My Freddy's omelet was lukewarm even though it was not busy and the kitchen is right next to the diners. Mostly filled with cheese although advertised with meats & veggies. The "hash browns" were just like you get at McDonald's: pre-formed, frozen, deep fried rectangle, not fresh potatoes. Toast was basic, tasteless white bread you can buy cheap at any grocery. We enjoy breakfast out, but I've had better at Waffle House or other chains. Disappointing, tried this because of reviews but makes me question now, who is reviewing, and whether Yelp is really that helpful? We will not be back. read more

Oh MY! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.. Can be pretty busy during lunch hour, but that's a sign that the food is good! I usually call my order in before getting there to avoid the wait :) I always get the Grilled Chicken Goat Cheese Wrap with a small side salad. AMAZING! After reading the reviews here, I might try the Buffalo Burger or Grilled Salmon Sandwich.. I don't know where this place has been all my life, but I'm totally glad I found it! AMAZING. I went to Houston for work and the instructor recommnded Freddy's, since it was a walking distance from my buliding. I went there 3 times in 5 days. I ordered 2 eggs over medium with whole wheat toast and avocado, side garden salad with avocado and a grilled chicken greek salad. Everything tasted amazing and was so fresh. The homemade ranch dressing was DELICIOUS! Very affordable, and the portions are fair. The staff is very friendly. I will definitely be returning on my next trip read more

I have been going to Freddy's for 15 years now. Original owners were so rude and the food wasn't that great so I had stopped going there. One day a co-worker told me they changed owners so I decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did !!! I go there all the time now. The owners and employees are so awesome, they treat you like their family ( it is a family owned business now ). The food is to die for, everything is fresh and always prepared the way I like it ( and I am very picky!!). They even call me when they have something they know I will like :-) . They even deliver!!!! I haven't had anything there that was bad, everything has always been excellent. Best chicken I have ever had. When I asked about my order they talked very defensively and unprofessionally and said were real busy on Friday's... The food was mediocre at best. Then they forgot the cheese!!! Best breakfast value in Katy. 3 pancakes are thick, hearty and more than I can eat. Bacon is good and perfectly crispy. Breatfast tacos are fresh and delicious. The counter staff is friendly and patient. Definitely worth a visit if you can make it during the week. Bad location, so they are not open on weekends. I don't give many 5 stars, but for what this place is (a lunch spot diner) it couldn't be much better. Breakfast tacos are outstanding, they aren't what I would consider authentic, but are very good anyway. All burgers and sandwiches are made to order and are excellently executed with top quality ingredients. It's in a strip mall that looks like it was built in the 60's and the decor is nothing special, but the prices and food quality make this a hidden gem. This place is that one place you would never know about until it is recommended by someone else because of its location. I am glad that my co-worker told me to go there as I frequent there during lunch and am satisfied every time!. Their portions are large, so sharing is always an option.
