hi, Fred, hope you remember me, I came to your shop on 6th of June around 2 pm to check honda accord before I buy it. STORY: We ride around the block, everything was fine, Fred checked a car visually, said that all good, when I asked: what do you think about front bumper, it seated not properly in some areas, what do you think, the car was in an accident? Owner (Art) said that it was repainted due to a lot of dents, Fred said that frame is Ok and there is no visible deformation, he checked the lights, interior, mention, that it some cigarette burn on the seat(thank you, it was pretty visible and I bring the car to you not for that). Finally he said that car was in a good shape, I payed $80 for this inspection. While I`m ride back home, I found that after 60mph strong vibration appears (left front tyre was another brand), in the nighttime I found that front right light is slightly working, when Im staying on the crossroad the engine start vibrating.I found another guy then, he checked a car and said that left part of the car was repainted, one of the front lamp was changed (one is glassy, one is blurry), he checked Carfax and found that car was hitted. So everything I was worried for is appear, but Fred is not saying about that, so it`s not a professional work and it shouldn`t coast anything, he even discuss something with seller on their (maybe Iranian) language in front of me and it looked like they know each other. And while first month of driving both of front fenders was throwed away by spining wheels on the freeway, it was scary, because i thought that tyre blown, so after fast repair before selling, seller even couldn`t put the fenders back and set it properly. read more

Beware!! We took the car over there for a diagnostic and to clear the check engine light. We know what caused the light to come on. They looked at the car and ushered us into the waiting room. After about a half an hour of waiting we got up to check and the guy came in with bad news about how the engine is misfiring and the CPU has gone bad and he needs more money to figure out the problem. He said he did not pop the hood to check the readout cable. We get back in the car to take stuff home and switch out for my car, to discover the hood has been opened and a cylinder is purposefully ungrounded. The cap for the reader cable is also off and dangling by a connection cable. I've heard of places sabotaging cars to get more money but this was just the laziest sabotage I've ever seen. At least make an effort to hide your wrong doing! read more

I came upon Fred's Auto Service when i needed to install an IID device in my car. I had a brand new BMW with a push button ignition. I called around to the installers nearby and was given the story, "Oh, I've never done one like that, but I'm sure I can figure it out." This did not instill any confidence in me at all. As I was asking around, the name Fred kept popping up as "the best". I hesitated because the shop is not near my house and I really didn't want to drive all the way to Glendale to have the device calibrated. Also, since I didn't have my licence yet, I couldn't drive to get the device installed. Fred and his crew drove all the way out to my house on a Sunday and had the device put in.
