Came here to get my IID installed a year ago, and although I didn't like the thing in my car, they did a very clean install. I went to Fred initially to install and monitor an IID device in my car when I got a DUI several years ago. Over time I was having him change my oil and perform other maintenance on my car rather than going to my usual mechanic because it was just easier since I was already there. Eventually I found him to be more trustworthy and reasonable than my previous mechanic. After the IID was removed, I continued to go to him as my primary mechanic. At one point I got into an accident where my whole transmission had to be replaced and he and his team did a great job. Fred seems to really care about each customer and makes suggestions about things that need to be fixed or replaced without being pushy about it and with the intention to be preventative rather than waiting until a problem gets worse. I have been going to him for almost 7 years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Fred is a dishonest guy. The interlock device installed in my vehicle was faulty. Each time I did not supposedly "blow into the transponder" it caused a refusal/error. What this means is that I had to pay $40 so Fred could fix something that was faulty. An electronic device that he personally installed that causes errors and I have to pay for this junk equipment. Fred doesn't do discounts and tells you to call the manufacturer. If he was an honest man he would deal with a company that has a solid product. But he would rather milk you for $40 or more. That is NOT even the worst thing! He charges to also remove the device! So I paid $225 to install the device and now I have to pay $225 to have him remove. STAY AWAY BUYER BEWARE. There are other places that charge nearly. Remember the devil is in the details! Read your contract thoroughly and price around so you don't get ripped off like me. read more

I come here for my interlock device and they do a good job. Unfortunately if you have the device expect some fees (especially if you play your music too loud). Anytime you don't blow into the device when asked it is a $40 fee from the interlock company (which is NOT Fred's). The only reason I'm not giving a five star rating is because while someone was signing up for the device and watching the video that goes along with it, as a customer I was asked to wait outside in the 95 degree heat (which I though was unnecessary). Other then that I have a good experience with Fred's and a recommend their service. read more
