I have written a total of 3 reviews in my 21 years on this earth and this is one of them. I have no words. Jeff was absolutely amazing to me. He provided the exact service I needed in very competitive timing. While other places quoted me $300+ and 3ish hours for getting a Pre-Purchase Inspection. He did it in 45 minutes, $250, ran the diagnostic perfectly, found everything that needed to be fixed. The dealership rep tried to steer Jeff away from the problems and made excuses for everything but Jeff didn't buy it and told it to me exactly how it is. He didn't beat around the bush, and told me everything. I would 100% recommend Jeff to anyone and everyone in the area. He is a 100% honest man who cares about his clients, and he gets the job done perfectly and professionally. 100/10 service.

I've been coming here for over a year now it's kind of weird that I'm a mechanic shop would make you feel at home, but they've managed to find a way to do that. I've also never said that I trusted a mechanic before, but I genuinely trust these guys. They have a great waiting room area that set up with a television or refrigerator and coffee or tea with charging stations and a couch and They sell homemade chili oil in the office I mean, what else could you ask for seriously?

After they did such a wonderful job on my truck I brought them my El Camino that I hadn't driven in over a year. They did a full look over it. As a woman it can be hard to find a mechanic that isn't trying to pull one over on you for a buck. White glove service, but without any of the attitude. Having a trusted mechanic in Los Angeles is a blessing. They're AAA approved, and the work is consistently solid and thorough. Once in a while something might get missed. It happens. I've been going to them since 2012. What matters is they own it and fix it without any hassle. They don't cut corners. You can see it in how they do the work and how they explain things. They're on the higher end of reasonably priced, but it's worth it in the long run if you want a mechanic who's reliable, knows your car, and makes the right call. Since they've been servicing my cars, I haven't been stranded on the road. The only exception was a punctured tire, and if you bought your tires from them, they'll fix it for free if you bring it in on the doughnut or have it towed in. They've been around long enough to feel like a real part of the Highland Park community, not just another shop. The kind of place you stick with, and the kind you recommend to people you actually like.

I was quoted 2-3 hours but they finished it in just under 1.5 hour. I did a lot of research how to protect a catalytic converter and this shop does custom welding with a bunch of steel rods and steel cords. I honestly don't know much about this but showed it to friends and neighbors who reviewed the photos posted on the Yelp page, all of whom said they think the protection is clever and almost like double protection. Fingers crossed! They also gave me one of the best quotes for replacing a catalytic converter. I ended up choosing a different shop for this job but their quote came really close to the other.

They assured me that all of the tires were of excellent quality, it was really just a matter of how much I would be driving and where. I went with something a bit on the higher price point, but it wasn't so bad. $700 flat for a set of tires, labor and everything else included. I popped across the street for a quick coffee, and an hour later they called me, having completed the job. Easy in, easy out. This is probably the fourth time I've come here, and I have to say it's the one place I trust to handle my tires, without question. Highest recommendation.

I had the bad fortune of purchasing it on the cusp of COVID and, as a…read moreresult, it's mostly snoozed in my garage for the last five years, accumulating a grand total of 12,000 miles. In connection with a planned 2000 mile trip, I took the SUV to my long-time mechanic, Ise Automotive, in Los Feliz. When I picked up the car, I was told that there was something "odd" about the Michelin tires on the vehicle and that I should have them checked out by a tire expert. He recommended American Tire Centers, with whom he'd done business for decades. I was skeptical, as I'd put very few miles on the tires, but nevertheless called American to determine when I might have them inspected. Vahe ("Vic") said I could bring in the vehicle the same afternoon. When I arrived, the lot was filled with cars under some stage of repair or replacement. Nevertheless, Vic turned immediately to examining my Michelin tires. To my untutored eye, they looked pristine. However, after completing his inspection, Vic said that due to their age, the rubber was separating from the material beneath. This, he told me, is why tire warranties are valid for a maximum number of Miles (usually 50,000) OR time period (in this case, five years). It was clear I was going to have to replace the tires. The question, then, was "With what?" At the age of 80, I am a "careful" consumer. When I'm teeing up to buy a product or to commission a service, I do my homework. In this case, however, it had largely been done for me. Paired with a string of online recommendations attesting to the honesty of the shop, I also had absolute confidence in my mechanic of several decades, who had sent me to Vic with his endorsement. I purchased a set of four new Michelins. Vic said he'd do an alignment only if it were necessary. The next morning (less than 24 hours after I'd been advised by my mechanic to have an expert inspect the tires), the car was ready for pickup. Vic told me to bring it back for inspection when I returned from my trip. Conclusion: I could not have been happier or more impressed with the treatment accorded me by Vic and his colleagues. They were professional, prompt and, I believe, honest in their pricing. Based upon my experience, I've no hesitancy in recommending them without reservation.

This is a father-and-son-owned shop, and you can tell they take pride in doing things the right way. The photos I've posted show the old exhaust parts that were cut and removed, the replacement components, and the finished install underneath the vehicle. Everything was fitted cleanly and solidly--no shortcuts, no sloppy work. They replaced my muffler and repaired the damaged section from the theft in just a little over an hour, which honestly exceeded my expectations. The car sounds right, drives smoothly, and feels properly repaired--not patched together. What I appreciated most was their honesty and efficiency. They explained what needed to be done, got straight to work, and delivered exactly what they promised. In a time when catalytic converter theft is unfortunately common, it's a relief to find a shop you can trust.
