We tried to use them for a move from MN to FL, they told us it'd be delivered in a week...it took 12 days with NO communication unless we called them and even then it was oh I'm not sure, the driver will call you...nope! These guys gave me a reasonable quote and promised my car would be picked up within 3 days. On the 3rd day, I called after hearing nothing. I was told to wait a bit longer. I called on the 5th day and was told the rate I was quoted was too low and if I wanted the car shipped, I needed to pay $500 more! Incredible. I have now lost over a week. Wow is all I can say. I spoke to Dave at the end of November early December explaining I needed my car transported from Hollywood Florida to Upstate New York. He was very polite and seemed eager to help me. Off the bat gave me a great price and told me I was on top of the list to have someone transport my car. Great, two weeks go by and no word from Dave. I had to contact him several times and even spoke to the dispatcher and went as far as leaving multiple voicemails and texts till he decided to pick up the phone. Dave then proceeded to tell me he had someone lined up and asked for a deposit and when the car was delivered I'd pay the rest. I was scheduled to have my car dropped off on the 3-4th of January. It was not dropped off till the 6th. Dave never gave me the name of the driver, number, company, eta. Nothing I had to find it all out myself. Once I got in contact with the driver it was out of Dave's hands and left up to the gentleman who picked the car up. His name is Tom, Tom works for or owns a company by the name of T&J transport. Tom was supposed to pick up my car on a Tuesday and didn't show up till Wednesday night because of unforeseen circumstances. Never did he call text or give me an ETA. When Tom picked up my vehicle he stayed outside my home for 15 minutes with his 10 or 11 year old child asking and complaining as to why I was moving to NY that he hates it and personally guaranteed me that I would hate it too. This man had no right to ask or spill his opinions about my choice in relocating and honestly I didn't care. I had advised Tom that I would be flying into NY on Saturday night but he could drop the car off early that day or Saturday since that's what Dave told me. Tom said " oh I live next to you bout an hour away I'll just drop it off when you land on Sunday" I said great! I land at 6:30 please have it dropped off by 7:30. All day no text, call, eta nothing. Apparently after 4 missed calls from me and a text he texted me in a non eager way. " hey my tire got messed up I am in Pennsylvania and it's a bitch to get a part on Sunday" I told him Monday morning I have work at 8am, Tom promised to have my car at my home before then, how? I don't know since he was "stuck". Tom didn't drop my car off that morning but instead the following Tuesday mid afternoon he showed up saying hey who's home your car is here. I told Tom I work all day and to leave the keys in the car. When I got home I noticed my tank was empty ( I handed it over with well over half a tank) the mileage was off, the car smelled like women's perfume ( just bought the car still had new car smell) and there was a coupon from a pet store. I was so angry because I don't have pets, so clearly he was in my car, I don't wear perfume, another indication he and someone else used it, and the fact that for three days in a new city I had to Uber and tack to and from work, stores, grocery stores, etc. costing me money. I tried to get my deposit back but Dave flat out said nope! I tried to ask Tom for at least my deposit back he said " I charge customers 1k" have a nice day. We hire Freedom Auto Transport to transport a $180,000 car fron the Auction in Texas to our dealer in Hialeah, Florida. Of course we wanted to bring it enclosed and that is what we hire and payed for. The car came on an open truck together with a bunch of junk cars. What a big risk. Anything could have happened and they didn't accept the mistake. They said after that they have insurance, but who would buy a car of this price that has been previously repaired. There would be a big loss on the value of the car, besides of the repairs. That was why we wanted to minimize the risks. read more

Today is 4/21/2021 and spoke to gavin who said we are still looking because no driver wanted to haul for that amout and that it would be $2000.00 and i would still have to wait to get it moved....... ALL THESE TRANSPORT COMPANYS ARE BROKERS AND DONT ACTUALLY OWN THE TRUCKS.. The last day I went online in search of any and every number connected to this business. Eventually I got connected. Turns out the truck carrying my car caught fire 5 days ago. No one reached out to me. 5 days and not one phone call or email! I put blood, sweat, and tears into my car. I can't believe that a company could watch it burn and not contact me immediately after. I have no doubt that the positive reviews on this company are FAKE. Everything I've read from the driver not answering his phone to the driver asking to meet at a different location is accurate. I hope that this company doesn't get another dime of someone else's hard earned money. Day 8 after my car caught on fire I still haven't spoken with anyone in management. I still haven't even received a picture of my car's condition, I don't know what state it's in, and I don't know what's next. If you're reading this pay the extra $50-$75 and go with another company. Absolutely AWFUL experience. I was promised it would get there the day I wanted - way above my expectations. Then the 3 day guaranteed date came and went. I called and they said no driver would do it for that amount of money. The amount THEY set and quoted me on. Why even give that price if no driver would pick up the job?? Absolutely no communication before the anticipated pickup date so I kept calling leaving messages... none were returned. I wish we never used these guys. We ship millions of dollars worth of construction equipment all over the US every year. We also own a small fleet of Heavy Haul Transport Trucks. Needless to say we are quite experienced with the transport of freight/trucking. We needed a unit moved a very short distance so our normal Transport company could not help us on this haul. We contacted Freedom about the haul. Right away I noticed all the reps we spoke to were very rude and not professional at all. They gave us an ETA on having the unit picked up. We gave them a credit card deposit and a PO for the haul. We were told they would collect the remaining balance on our credit card upon delivery. We were supposed to get a receipt and a haul confirmation. We never received any email. They never called the pickup or delivery location for confirmation. Then all of a sudden a driver called our customer saying he was at their location. He said they we needed to pay him directly with PayPal?! Lol Freedom never mentioned this period. We called them and the rep acted irritated and told us that's what we would have to do. Super unprofessional. It was a huge ordeal trying to pay the driver. Promised to pick up the car on a Friday. Cost was $1250. Friday afternoon they call to tell me they'll have a driver on Monday and it's $300 more. Tells me it's my fault cause there's a bidding war cause there were 2 other companies bidding for my car. I told them I got quotes from other companies but only locked in with Freedom. He told me I was wrong. Thing is I had not even gotten estimates with these 2 companies. Scam!! The car was not picked up on Monday as promised the 2nd time but on Tuesday night at 10:30pm so it didn't leave for California until Wednesday. I had to call to find out the status-they never contacted me throughout the whole process. Finally the car arrived in California but I had to go pick it up an hour away if I wanted it quickly otherwise it would take a few days for delivery. Wish we had read the reviews here before we ordered our car move through this company. The main reason i would avoid them is because they have zero customer service and one cannot vouch for their honesty/reliability. Julian is the person who handled our initial quote and request. But we are unable to reach him the last few times that we contacted him recently. They do not return calls for inquiries. We were rescheduled abt three times on our car pick up date; they said it was because it was in the early- mid Dec timeframe. They said they could not find drivers after the fact that we already paid a deposit. They also charged us extra since we wanted the car by a certain date. My husband had to be up to drop off the car at 2 AM and the driver dropped it off in the destination also in the middle of the night on the same day, in the last minute. To add to the agony, a few of my watches were stolen from the duffel bag I had in the trunk as well as a piece of jewelry from my mom. I was not happy with them for not returning my repeated calls to find out if there was any resolution available for this. I would never engage them again or recommend them to anyone. Pay a little more and get better service. As people say here, they are merely a broker and do not track the safety or vouch for their tranporters/drivers or any of the damages. I went ahead with the transaction and then it was like they disowned me. I never once heard back, they would not answer my calls or emails. I was never given any tracking info, driver info, how to contact driver or anyone for status. I left numerous messages and it has been 4 days now and I still have not heard anything from them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are horrible operators. I had concerns about the cash payment at drop off because personally I think it sounds extremely shady. So advised by our lawyer, my husband called to confirm about the license and insurance from the driver hauling our truck. We were in the middle of lunch while my husband called and the representative Joey suddenly had an entirely aggressive and demeaning attitude toward my husband. His 0 to 100 temper really rubbed us wrong, especially since all we were trying to do is confirm shipping information since we had never shipped a car before. We cancelled the order with my truck, but now the company refuses to remove our other car from the National Shipping Listing and we can not hire another company to ship it. This freedom now ignores our calls, places us on hold, and straight lies to us saying they've cancelled the order. PLEASE, save yourself time & headache. Avoid this company entirely. read more

Bought a car in Wisconsin and wanted to ship it to NYC. I was told by a dispatcher "Jake" that the vehicle would arrive on a Friday, no problem, I took off of work expecting the car to be delivered. I call the dispatcher and he tells me that the vehicle would be able to make it on Friday because of a discrepancy. I asked Jake for a discount because of my lost work day. He said he will "try his best" . Today is the next day (Saturday) and I called no answer, there was no update (meaning I will have to take off of work on Monday) I called the main number and left a very detailed message. I used this company a couple of years ago, and it went very smoothly. More recently, it was a disaster. With the exception of one helpful employee, everyone else was terrible with communication. Though I'd been given a pick-up date, they moved it one day early at the last second. I left work early, cancelled my evening plans, and made sure I was there with my car ready. The driver was unable to make it, which would have been okay if someone had bothered to tell me about it! I called every number I had available to me and I could only get ahold of one girl, who said she would call me back, but didn't. She even admitted to me that she'd forgotten to call me back after learning my driver couldn't pick up my car until the following day! I called them to see if they could ship a small pop-up camper from Ohio to California. They said of course and gave me a quote. Several days went by and I hadn't heard anything, so I decided to call and I was told that they had found a shipper and would pick it up that Friday all they needed was a deposit to confirm/hold the spot. Friday came and went and never heard anything from them. I decided to call another shipping company and they informed me that my pop-up was still listed on the shipping board (which means that no one had agreed to ship it). Warning: Don't ever use this transport company. I contacted them for a price to ship a car about a week out from when it would be ready to pick up, and they told me if i had it ready an hour after we first spoke they would have a two person driver team ready, and have the car to my destination 3 days later. After negotiating with the seller of the car to release it early, I was told by the seller that after 6 hours the driver never picked up the car. After being in touch with Anthony, he told me they would be there in an hour. They didn't end up picking up the car until 2 DAYS later. The next issue happened when I contacted the driver myself because despite Anthony reassuring me multiple times that he would get me an update, he never reached out to me once. The driver told me he was solo and the car would be delivered in about 10 days. 10 days when i was originally promised 3-4. The next issue was upon delivery of the car. The car had a massive crack on the windshield that was not there upon pickup. Upon reaching out to Anthony yet again, he told me he would have his claims person contact me and that i shouldn't call the carrier. Needless to say the claims person never reached out to me. I then contacted the Carrier and was told since I waited so long to contact them, they would not pay for the damage, which ended up costing me close to $2000 to fix. All in all, i recommend that you stay far away from Freedom Auto Transport at all costs. read more

Best shipping experience ever!!! I had to suddenly move last week from Denver, CO to Pennsylvania and only had 1 day to make plans. I called a bunch of companies and no one was helpful, until I called freedom. I talked to Jon Epstein and he explained the whole process to me, by far the most helpful customer service I've ever had, because I have never shipped my car before and it is a complicated process especially if you don't have much notice. He managed to keep everything in my price range and had the driver come the very next morning to my house to pick my car up. The car was delivered exactly when the driver said it was going to be there, no scratches or damage, and the same price we agreed on. The whole process was great, I will definitely use this company every time I move!!!!!! read more
