First of all I love my Rav 4. Just had it in to have its 100,000 mile check up. It's always easy to get an appt., I'm seen promptly and service has always been top notch. I feel well taken care of ---as well as my car. Fortunately I purchased my car at Freeman back in 2007 and if the labor is more than 2 hours, they give me a rental car at no cost to me. Can't beat that!! I'll purchase my next Toyota from them as well, though who knows how long that might be as I've had no significant problems with this one!!!--None read more

I've had family purchase a car from this dealership and go through a good experience. I've had the difficulty of dealing with a bad one since purchasing mine. This was my first car I've ever purchased brand new. The sales person was nice and friendly and very accommodating. I thought about giving a2 start review because of him. But everything else was completely a nightmare. While going through the finance, I was completely ignored. I had my sibling do the cosigning but he made me feel like I was just along for the ride. I felt belittled in the whole conversation. It may not have been his intention but being ignored definitely made me feel that way. I was promised a "bumper to bumper" warranty where it was explained to me that everything between the front bumper off the car to the rear bumper off the car was covered. I asked, "everything" and he responded yes. This is false. I even bought the top tier coverage. Upon leaving the store the windshield cracks on me and no coverage. The "top-tier" only covers mechanical failures. Many window shops won't even touch it because of the sensors that sit up by the windshield. The service dept is slow to help but do great work when they get around to it. Honestly there are many Toyotas in the DFW area, this one shouldn't be in your top 3 to go visit. I found out this was not true after consulting with Toyota Financial Services. I spent at least $6,000 that was not needed when I was, and still am, in a rough financial position. Do not go to the sales dept they will tell you that it is not worh there time for what they make to search for what you want unless you pay a deposit and they seem to not know what the package's are on the car. One saleman told that it was worth the $100 he made to get a car for me to look at and then another said that there was the color I wanted but I would have to put down a deposit before they would get the car from another dealer, I told they didn't want to sell cars. And don't even get me started on there service dept I spent 2 day 3+ hours each day at the dealer to get a oil change and inspection and one day it was one thing that wouldn't pass and they had to order and the next day it was not that and someting else.. \ Then when I told them to give me my car. My wife and I are interested in a new Highlander but on the very day we were wanting to go test drive one, she wrecked my Toyota Yaris! She will be fine but the Yaris is totaled. So I called the salesman we'd talked with and he connected us to Tim Slater across the street in the used car department. It was urgent we replace my wrecked car first and hope that we'd still have the funds to tackle the new Highlander later. I looked at three used cars and picked one that I liked. We negotiated a bit, came to a price and I asked for a couple of details to be taken care of. There are always small things that need attention on a used car and I asked for floor mats and one new hubcap to replace one that was damaged. Tim said he would take care of them but when I went back to pick up the car the floor mats were for a different model and wouldn't fit properly. We agreed we'd keep in touch and he'd let me know when proper mats and a hubcap came in. Almost three weeks passed and despite a handful of emails back and forth, I still didn't have the mats or hubcap and I told my wife that honestly, I didn't think we'd get them. Days had passed, I had miles on the car and my checks were cashed. Best I could do would be to go elsewhere to get the Highlander and order my own stuff from ebay. So I was pleasantly surprised when Tim emailed me to say the mats and hubcap were in! I ran by after work, picked them up and I'm very happy about it. Tim was committed to making this work and and really backed up his word. I'll come back in about six years unless my wife wrecks my car again, and look up Tim for another car. read more

Bait and switch and a complete waist of my time and it would be a 0 star if possible. I have been looking for a few weeks for a very specific NEW 2015 4runner. I finally found it on their website so I checked for availability (online) the next morning the internet sales manager calls to confirm it's there (Don Eric Mays) so i took my 5 hour trip to pick it up. When I got to the NEW toyota dealership Don wasn't there like promised he was at the USED lot. They told me to just stay there he would pick me up in a few minutes to show me around. After 20 minutes they told just drive to the other lot and he would meet me. Once I got there they pawn me off to abother salesman that just wants to show me the used cars first. So after being patient for a hour of listing to there crap on the great deal they can do on the used 4runners that wasn't even the the color exterior, interior or package. He finally told me they didn't have the 4runner that I drove 5 hours to get. Also worth mentioning here. On my way home I stopped at Durant toyota in Weatherford to check what they had in person. they had already been closed for a hour & was looking up when I got there. They did end up having the exact 4runner package I wanted and opened the doors back up we made a deal within 30 minutes for $1,500 less than fake one I went after. The salesmans name is (Louis Bermea) and I would recommend him & the dealership unless you like annoying pushey salesman. read more

We just moved from Tulsa where my wife has owned 2 Lexus RX350 for the past 10 years. We picked up her platinum Highlander today. It's the same car as the REX but cheaper and the Highlander is a fine looking car (Sorry we can't say as much for the RX) Our experience at Freeman matched that of both Lexus dealers we purchased from in the past. They don't have the snack bar selection, but the way we were treated...with respect from EVERYONE we encountered there..and I got a heck of a deal. I went in for an oil change. They came to tell me I needed additional things done to my vehicle. They pointed out how they noticed a cut in my tire, even went as far as showing me a picture of a zoomed in tire with a cut. My tires are fairly new so I figured I still had a warranty so I didnt take the bate. I left, worried about my tire and wondering how I got a cut on my tire. I took my car to get looked at by another company, who took my tires off, check both sides, dunked them in water to find a hole or cut. Nothing! There was absolutely nothing wrong with my tires. The picture they showed me was a false picture to get me to buy a new tire. I emailed Toyota a week ago to tell them about this and they have yet to contact me. I was a customer for almost 10 yrs. Never going back. This is the 2nd time. The 1st time, I just ignored the guy because I knew I didnt need half the things he said I needed. read more

Called yesterday (May 17th) to book appointment for a brake job for a 2008 Lexus ES350. The representative quoted me $289 and then said he'd apply a discount, and said it would be $240 something. When I arrived for my appointment and was being checked in, he asked me what I was having done, I said a brake job. Told him the price he quoted me was $240 something with the discount. He then said that the price was "per axle". Now, he was very nice and apologetic for forgetting to tell me it was "per axle". I've had brake jobs done on my cars since the 1960s and never once was quoted a rate "per axle". I left and will have my brakes fixed by a reputable mechanic. I was also looking for a new Camry, but will find a different place to by it. read more

The next day we were getting ready to get the car but then an hour before our scheduled appointment we get a call saying that they misread our message and cannot honor the price. I wish I still had a Toyota so that I didn't have to go anywhere else for service. Freeman Toyota is the only dealership I've found a service department I could trust. I carried the card of my service advisor in my wallet for years, because I could call him anytime my vehicle needed service or was acting strange and he would tell me the best time to come in, and then give me a straight answer about what needed to be done. As a woman I typically expect to be mistreated by car dealerships - sales or service, but that has never been the case in my experience with this dealership. I have sent many friends there and will continue to do so. I do recommend calling first. It's a much more pleasant experience to go in when they're not super busy. read more

Many people are afraid to take their car to the dealership for service. Well, Freeman Toyota puts that myth to rest! I'm a CEO and am very busy so time is valuable. I took both my family's car and truck in recently for service and the speed in which they completed the service and repairs was awesome as was the price. The service manager J.D. takes great care of customers and their concerns and make you feel like you're a VIP. Filled out an application online on Friday and was contacted about our interests. Waited to hear back regarding if we were approved or not all day. I called back on Saturday and left a message. Got a call back and asked for more info (info that I had provided on application already). Never heard anything back on Saturday. Monday rolls around and I call and leave a message with another sales manager, nothing. So Monday night my husband and I go to the Honda dealer and are approved in less than an hour and sign the papers that night. Finally on Tuesday we hear back from Toyota with our approval. Too late. I came in today for an oil change. My average oil change is about $32.00 which holds 6 quarts for my 2006 toyota sienna. There service guy named "S***e" quote the price for $68.00. He try to charge me for 7quarts therefore costing me about $68. He looked at me and said " I'll give you $10 off". Again, I said that was still too much. So he went to his cubbie area and brought a paper which looked like this- just letters and numbers. SEE BELOW: examples EOJKL1234. $40.50 SCJGLV1573 $65.00 I explained that I didnt understand what the numbers/letters mean. What I was wanting to see on paper in plain English- "oil change for these types of vechiles cost this much, etc". Supposedly that didn't exist. What he showed me were just letters mixed with numbers with different prices. I told him again, that I didnt understand what the mnemonics mean and AGAIN requested for him to Please look up my previous records or I'll be more than welcome to go into my car right now and take the last receipt from last service showing my oil change was roughly $32-35. Then, he says while pointing at the paper (example just as shown above), that my oil change now would be around $45.00. THIS GUY COULDNT GET HIS STORY OR NUMBERS STRAIGHT!!!!! After the third request for him to pull up my records, I WAS RIGHT. Come to find out, he was trying to charge me for 7 quart costing $68.00 rather than 6 quart which my van normally takes. After that fact, he came to apologize. He gave a lengthy explanation using jargons and terms which I was not familiar with. All I knew and came to understand is that they will attempt to raise prices and get commission for themselves in anyway possible, as these few dollars will eventually add up from all those customers whom they have ripped off from. I had my car repaired by the body shop and the paint started to peel off after a few months. When I took it back to the collision center, they told me they wouldn't fix the mistake they made. When I called to ck on it they never heard of the person I spoke with. I finally went by to talk in person and they had one that someone never "claimed". First talked to Freeman back in January, David Shegda - great sales consultant, polite and low pressure. Yes, not a typo, low pressure. We weren't ready to buy just then and he followed up politely two times in two months - unlike another local dealer where we had purchased two times previously which followed up over 20 times in the same period. Finally bought a car last week. Sales department, top notch - no "let me check with my manager" for 20 minutes to make you sweat. Finance department (Wes) polite and professional. Explained our options thoroughly and we did not feel like we had been shaken down like I did the last two times at the "other" dealer (see my 1 star review). We had ordered add-on leather and when the person who orders the kit saw our choice called to say he didn't think it would look quite right in the car so we went in and chose something else - he was right! He could have simply fulfilled our order and said "here's what you ordered, too bad" but no, they were concerned we would be happy for the long term. Can not say enough good things about this dealership so far. Next we will try their service department. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! This place is the absolute worst. Even with the gold package extend warranty they still lied constantly, avoided fixing my problems and acted like complete crooks. Of course after the warranty expired they had all sorts of costly solutions that would surely fix the problems they never could figure out when it was covered. The last time I was there for a basic tire rotation and oil change I ended up with a flat the next day due to the valve stem being unscrewed (discount tire's words, not mine) after i turned down their repeated add on offers. So my Wife, Daughter and I visited Freeman last night. We had bought a Scion XB from them in '08 and was really interested in the new IA. We were ignored for close to 40 minuets while some woman with a head set and a guy who looked like a Jersey Shore reject showed each other Facebook photos. The secretary/clerical girl? said that all the sales people were with a customer, or the customers were waiting to hear back from financing.... I saw two other sales men hanging out at a desk just chatting the whole time. So by my count, that's 4 people that could have said "Are you being helped?" or "Greetings welcome to Freeman Toyota!" When an older gentleman walked in and was immediately shown the new Tacoma, we had it and left promptly. We had $8000 to put towards an IA and although it pained us to do so, we went next door to Moritz Kia. We didn't make it all the way into the front door before we were welcomed by two sales folks. We bought a 2015 Kia Soul in under 2 hours and we left happy. I've never been ignored like this at a car dealership before. Usually it's annoying how many people swamp you when you walk onto any car lot. But this was the polar opposite. Did we look like we didn't have money? Was it because I had tattoos? I still don't understand why someone would just not want to sell a car. There was 2 hours left before they closed, it's close to the middle of the month! Why would they not want to at least ask if I'd been helped? This hasn't burned me on buying another Toyota/Scion. But I won't return to Freeman again, Heck I'll go to the Mitsubishi dealership before I go to Freeman again, at least I know they want to sell me a car. read more

Bought a car from this dealership yesterday. Found the pricing sticker that was on the car hidden in the glovebox of the car when I got it home. Sticker price on auto did not even match the price I was paying on my finance papers. The finance papers were billing me $1800 more than the sticker price of the vehicle. Also was told the extended warranty would only be 9.00 a month by the business manager. Lie number one. Actual cost on my paperwork is $800 more than that. I talked to the used car sales manager and first words out of his mouth were that it's not his dealerahips sticker that was on the car. Then I told him the sticker has big letters saying Freeman Toyota on it so it's his sticker. Then he tries to tell me the price of the car was with a warranty on it. I told him the warranty pricing is on a completely different line than the price of the car. He said to come in and he'd "think" about doing something about all the discrepancies. I told him that there is no "thinking" involved. The financing paperwork is wrong. I've worked in finance in the past for about 20 years so I know they're fabricating numbers. Too bad I trusted them and didn't take a calculator out and go line by line on the finance part of it. My recommendation is not to buy from this dealership. They are very unscrupulous. I read a similar review to mine before purchasing from this dealer. It was the only one I found like it but I certainly should have paid more attention to that review. We drove 25 miles because they called us and said that there is overnight service drop off . We get there and all the gates were closed. They wasted our trip and time and this is a very bad dealership even though we chatted with the overnight chatters they said to come on over but all the gates were closed I strongly recommend not going to this dealership. read more

Took my Corolla in at Freeman Toyota for some minor work and went ahead and let them do an oil change while it was there. They called telling me it was ready for pickup. While driving the check engine light came on. I was suspicious that the engine light came on right after I picked up my car. I pulled over and checked the oil level and to my surprise there was none! They freaking drained the oil and didn't replace it! I couldn't believe a dealership could be that incompetent at such an easy task. After some half-hearted apologies, they "promised the integrity of the engine" for as long as I owned it - whatever that meant. I should've driven it till the engine locked up and demanded they replaced it. After this happened, there was a noticeable and permanent difference in the performance and acceleration of the engine. My Mom has the same exact make and model (that was also purchased at Freeman) and when I drive hers it feels like a turbo compared to mine. The last straw was during another visit when I had some other work done and they had to remove the dash and they damaged the stereo buttons in the process. I took the car back shortly after I noticed this and they initially denied that it was their fault and didn't want to take responsibility. After I reminded them about what happened the last time, they finally (reluctantly) replaced the buttons that they had damaged. Freeman Toyota left me shocked at the unprofessionalism, incompetence and unaccommodating manner in which they handled both issues (with a long time, repeat customer) that were obviously the fault of their employees. read more

I would like to commend Mitch Trimble for going above and beyond in helping us get into a newer vehicle. We are a growing family and needed something bigger than our Infinity G35... we found a Honda Odyssey and we fell in love with it. Our credit isn't the best, but Mitch worked tirelessly to get us a great deal, even going so far as to call in favors for us. When we were test driving the vehicle, I swerved to miss a dog, and ended up messing up the suspension and all sorts of other things on the driver's side of the car. Mitch was gracious and accomodating...never once making me stupid for the accident. He assured me it would be taken care of... and it was. We were due to go on vacation, and because of the accident, our Odyssey wasn't ready; they rented a Sienna minivan for us to take on our trip! Talk about superior service.
