My rating is a 4.3 wasn't quite a 5 star. The only complaint I can think of is the atmosphere was not great. The waiter was amazing and super nice. Explained the food super well and was well accommodating. My order was slightly late to arrive and she took the whole meal off. Which was very nice and I was okay with the extra 5-10 minutes. Everyone at the table really liked there food which is surprising for a family of 6. The steak was cooked very well as you can see in photo I ordered a medium rare. The shrimp wasn't amazing but I'm also not a very big seafood guy. Mashed potatoes were amazing and asparagus. Loved it. As on to desert the brownie melted in my mouth and was so good. Delicioussss French creole dinner here tonight. A bit on the pricier side but both our entrees were perfect and the flavors super memorable. The salmon especially was cooked wonderfully. The restaurant itself isn't very upscale in decor or vibe but the cuisine says otherwise. Parking lot can get pretty packed but we were able to find parking and a table on a Friday night around 5pm without reservation. I was truly shocked at how poor the food was in this sad excuse for a restaurant that claims to be New Orleans style. I ordered Étouffée and had to send it back because the shrimp was overcooked to the point that I could not stab it with my fork. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried the second one they brought out. The second time, the shrimp was undercooked to the point that it was actually stringy and still tough. Each time it came out, the sauce was mealy, as they had clearly messed up the roux, but that was the least offensive of their several errors. The sauce was bland, mealy, and lacked several important ingredients that would have added that necessary flavor and texture that the dish was lacking. I am truly embarrassed for them and their performance tonight. Anyone who claims to have good seafood should be able to cook shrimp properly and anyone who claims to specialize in New Orleans food should be able to make Étouffée. Beyond the food quality, the waitress was clearly being overworked and barely had the time to do the minimum of her job, let alone make up for the numerous kitchen errors. It is not fair to her and not fair to the customers. Overall, had I received the same meal at half the price, I still would have sent it back. I hope the owner of this restaurant is embarrassed. read more

Durring my stay in St.Thomas and many outtings to various restaurants, its safe to say this restaurant was my favorite. Besides of the inviting and homey atmosphere, the service was phenomenal. Our waitress was the best I've ever had, going to extensive lengths to ensure an enjoyable experience. I went to this restaurant with my dad and we both enjoyed the food so much. We both had the appetizers of chicken and andouille gumbo and escargot and we think it was delicious. I had the sesame encrusted tuna steak and it was very soft and tender. My dad had the double cut pork chop and he said it was delicious and the best pork chop he's ever had. He highly recommends it for whoever loves pork chops. Service was great. Came quick. No problem. Waitress and server were friendly. She knew what we wanted and needed! Even though there were a lot of people. The style of the restaurant was nice and elegant. Although it was a lot of people, I thought it was like almost like a New Orleans style restaurant with a cool bar. The inside was nice but when you walked in it seemed like all the workers were rushing for some reason. The was no welcome at entry which is kind of a downer for me. We had an 10 top and the server seemed overwhelmed even before she started with us. Service- service was slow and our server couldn't really explain the dishes that was asked about. She kept using the phrase "well that's Italian". The food took forever to arrive and there was still mistakes (which was corrected quickly). My Meal was kind of bland but when I added some salt and pepper it livened it up a little. I can't say for the others on flavor because everyone was kind of annoyed on how long it took to cook. You can order off the bar menu for dinner too! I had the crab cakes from the dinner menu and the blackened chicken cobb salad from the bar menu and what a great meal. We all tried different things from the menu and were not disappointed. One of my guests is from New Orleans and had nothing but GREAT things to say about the food. Service is fantastic, A/C is cold, drinks are plenty and the atmosphere is wonderful. There are billiard tables way in the back too if you want to play, eat and drink. We were scrambling to find an open restaurant on Sunday that wasn't too far from where we were staying. We ended up at French Quarter Bistro and I'm so glad we did. The restaurant was pretty full and in spite of us not having a reservation, we were seated rather quickly. Our waitress, Cheyanne was very helpful, friendly and attentive. My friend and I shared the zucchini appetizer which was phenomenal. I was torn between the Shrimp Pasta Creole and the Shrimp Alfredo, so Cheyanne suggested I get a blend of the two sauces. It proved to be a delicious combination. The portions were generous, so I was able to continue enjoying it the next day. I ordered a Painkiller cocktail which was delicious as well. To finish, my friend and I shared an order of beignets which were delightful. I was so pleased with my experience, and I'd love to return during my next visit to St. Thomas. read more

This place was an awesome experience. First off the food was delicious, the gumbo soup, and blackened mahi was perfect and my wife's braised pork shank was to die for. The atmosphere was spectacular, we felt like we were in New Orleans. There was no Roux or gumbo fillet in the gumbo we had, No shrimp either. Please learn how to make it. The shrimp and grits was just okay. It had no real flavor.
